The amps are on the final truck to us and are in Charlotte this morning. Assuming nobody drops the ball big time we should have them today. Being that they must ALL be tested I am not sure how many if any will ship out today but I'll have tons of pictures at least when they come in and we start testing =) These are ALL sold already -- just an update for those that ordered them.

Finally got some time off of work to sit down and play with some settings. Made a video and found that my voltage drop was way worse than I thought after I got everything running. So, bought a bigger battery and did some more wiring. Much better! Now I don't drop below 13v at high idle (1k). On the low notes before I would drop down in the 10's. Scary stuff. Anyway, made a new video over the weekend and after fits of rage doing video edits, I got it uploaded. Let me know what you think.

Video Caption : Purposely tearing up an E-10 to demonstrate what it takes to do so. We are seeing *clamped* power of 50-100% of the woofers rating with NO BOX for 3-4 minutes straight in order to hurt the woofer. When using an amplifier rated for 400-500 RMS on these woofers in a day to day situation it will be EXTREMELY difficult to damage them. Again... this was intentional abuse -- any person hearing the type of mechanical noises we did in this testing would obviously turn it down =)

I originally built a .35 sealed box for it but wasn't pleased with it because It just wasn't loud enough. So I designed a new one and had my neighbor who has amazing wood working skills build. I'm certain the port length and box size is not optimal but it works great none the less. Roughly its a .66 ported box. 12x12x12 1/2mdf Needed to keep the ported box as small as possible because of room concerns. Port opening is 1" Tuned to about 45 hz. Using a Boston Acoustics GTA 500m and giving it all 500 watts. Turned the box out to take pictures, it normally faces forward. I can't believe how hard this 8" hits. The last time I had a sub was In 1998, it was a 10 Kicke…

Just finished unloading... will ship pre-orders next week as they all must be tested. I am very happy so far with how they turned out -- hope that customers enjoy them as much as I think they will ! If I ever get time I may drop one of these in my Jeep and see if I can still do a 150 with one of these 15s *laughs* Would be fun to try at least.

My brother got an SA-8 and may not be able to port the box based upon where he wants to put the sub in his truck. If he decides to go with sealed, what volume should the enclosure be built to ensure the maximum quality output? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I currently own a 2000 Pontiac grand am gt. the dimensions i could easily fit in my trunk would be 18x12x38. Could you help me design a box for a SA-15 within those dimensions. Need design specifics and/or cut sheets. I was thinking about going with two tens or two twelves but i don't think the space will allow me to do it, any ideas?? But definitely going with SA subs no matter what. Don't have amp yet but will match amp to subs regardless. Please Help

Alright, so... I plan on buying a SA-15 D4. I currently have a 500W @ 2ohms Rockford Fosgate amp that is powering a 12. I do not plan on getting rid of it, considering I just got it. But i realized I want a 15 instead of a 12. The 12 I have is a Rockford Fosgate P2D412 (2011 model). So, the jump to Sundown its self is a great upgrade I'm assuming. I plan on building a box that's 3.5 cubes, tuned at 27Hz with a 4"x11" aero port. That gives me a port area of ~12sq. in./cu. foot. From what I hear that is sufficient for a SQ setup. But it seems a bit too short. Any opinions? I want a tune between 25Hz and 28Hz.... That brings me to another question, is that too low of a tune …

My SAX-125.2 has completely stopped working. I took a look at it today and it just stalls into protect. Inspected the inside and nothing is blown, however I found 1 fuse blown and replaced it with the same amp rating (20amp) and it is still in the protection loop. The amp was fine until aprox a week ago it would randomly turn off for a second then pop on. There was also a very high pitched sound coming from presumably the amp. any ideas?

So I got up with Dave about making me a cool passive radiator... why, you might ask ? Well... first, I don't make passive radiators. Second... Dave does and he does good work. Third... fitting a port in the box for one SA-8 is a chore and very often not practical. So... the solution is a PR of course ! Dave can make these for other applications as well -- check them out at PSI Car Audio. On the the photos : * Adjustable mass for even lower tuning... we expect to be in the mid 30s with stock mass on this PR. The PR really looks great -- Dave's usual high quality work. I'll get pictures and data up once I have time to make the box. This may become an officially suggest…

Picked up the proto from Jacob about a month ago. Finished up the box last night and wanted to share some pics. specs: 1.85 cf3 after displacements 3/4 birch that isn't really 3/4 6" aero 31hz tune sub: port: I flush mounted it then cut another plate to fit on the inside. That gave me more surface to epoxy and helped seal up the giant hole on the backside. Painted it several coats of hammered black. Used 1" dowel rods for bracing and support of the port.

Some may recall the 2008 prototype "Monster" woofer that inspired features later found in several other drivers we make today. It's been shelved for some time... but a second revision of the prototype has been started on and we'll have some testing coming up. * Compounded smooth machining on the top plate with the NS v.2 style cross drilling. I am testing more with a top shorting ring on this design -- that is not necessarily something that will see production. * Again you see numerous smooth transitions on the back plate so we don't have excess steel where it's not needed (weight concerns). Also makes it look very interesting and unique. The goal is to replicate what I…
