  3. Hello guys, i have a question about properly powering my saz 3000d. Right now i am running 3 group 34/78 yellowtops. One of them has a dead cell so i am going to remove all of them and redo my battery bank. Under hood battery is a redtop group 34. My total rms wattage is around 3600 watts including my mid amp. I've been searching google all morning looking for a straight-forward answer to this question. I havent found any real answers just mostly suggestions. this is a daily setup so reserve capacity is the key here. I have been looking at the xs power d3100 but i dont know if 1 will be enough or do i need 2? Also, i have a 270a mechman alt, all big three upgrades and dua…

This amp showed up in a great looking box, so I opened it up and found all manuals and spec sheets intact. Everything looked just great, so I opened her up to take a look at the guts and take a couple of pics for you guys. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas073.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas079.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas082.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas072.jpg http://img.phot…

The new Mega-Roll v.2 surround achieves ~5% variation over a span of ~60mm p-p stroke. That is a huge improvement over the already excellent compliance behavior of the Mega-Roll v.1 surrounds. We've rolled out the Mega-Roll v.2 on the X, Z, NS, and TEAM lines already  The graph does not extend farther due to power limits of the Klippel machine @ Red Rock Acoustics (Capped at 1kw for the laser according to Patrick) -- but it's safe to say there is no trend showing the linearity will end any time soon after the range on the graph. Clearly, we have improved suspension induced distortion once again with the new Mega-Roll v.2 surrounds! It's something that worked …

Original thread is closed as ordering has been shut down. They will be leaving our factory March 8th - 13th and arrival time is 25 - 35 days... so we will be from 1st to 2nd week of April which is a bit behind schedule but not too bad. We sold such a huge quantity it will probably take 2 weeks or more to get them all tested and shipped out. If any stock remains regular ordering will open back up after that point. We have to make sure that we have enough fully QC passing units to supply all currently paid pre-orders before taking any more orders. If you missed out... we have two more production runs scheduling for arrival in ~May and another for arrival in ~June-July but t…

Well, I asked around over on CA, & EVERYONE told me that these beasts could handle it. (w/ proper electrical, of course) Planned elec. as of now: (2) D3100s in back, 240A alt, stock bat. up front, "Big 3", 1/0 all the way around. So what is your opinions on this? Can it handle it? Also, I read that the new SAZ-1500Ds don't carry .5Ω warranty coverage. What about the 3000Ds? And if the amp some how does fail do to this, what would it cost to get it repaired/replacement? (estimate) BTW, these will be powering (2) HDC315 alum. models.

I was the only person there running Sundown Audio so I was representing! Qualifieing I held a 49.9 for about 10 full seconds right off the bat but then hit a 150 so I drop it down and ended with a 149.5. On my run I did a 149.6. Im really Happy with Sundown!!! I have pix and videos uploading but will take a wile. Ill post them up when there finished. All and all it was a good day excpet I think my 200A alt is on it's way out! =(

  21. Hey jacob, i know several people on here are really looking foward to the 250.2 that will be released in near future, but whats the update on the amp and the stage it in before it hits production? I decided to move away from looking into the spl lanes and hit up the sq lanes because trunk cars are pretty hard to get loud and i think this amp will be perfect for powering two subs using an a/b class amp for possibly mounting 2 12's or so IB or possibly sealed. just looking for a few things like what time frame we're looking at for preorders and when it should all be available to public. If my brother desides not to use some PDX amps (worried about space and mounting on top…

Ok so here's the deal...I ordered 2 sa15's 2ohm and a saz-1500d v2 The ported size is 3-4 cubes so I found a ported box that had 3.05 cu ft for each sub and tuned at 29hz...so come to find out that's the gross cu ft and it has 2.55 per sub, so my question is...is this box waaay to small for what I have? If so there is a audio place near by I could have build me a custom box....so if I go this route what do you guys think on a box? It will be my everyday driver and im just lookn for some hard hitn bass, for all tyeps of music but mainly hip/hop, rap....not to concerned with db numbers. I know you guys have played with many different boxes and tuning so just point me wh…

Hooked up my 100.4 today to SEA excel mids and morel supremo tweeters. Gain was set at half, headunit (pioneer 9800) volume was 42/60, and 12 db slope, and it blew them in one minute. Now the speakers are rated at 220 watts. It is a 6 ohm speaker but i was told it would run just as good with this amp and actually be easier on the amp. I checked the speakers after they blew with others and and i still got power from the amp. Any ideas?

We are working on 12x 15s for a customer build... few teaser shots -- more as it progresses. These are being customized with chrome 4-spoke frames. Standard build otherwise with 2 spiders, single leads, and standard cone -- most efficient setup for this application.
