My question is why do people run 2 or 3 lines of 0 gauge to the back? also im running a 300amp alt 1 kinetik 2000 under the hood and two 2400s for the audio. im piecing everything together rite now should be done in a month. just waiting on the componets

We are working on 12x 15s for a customer build... few teaser shots -- more as it progresses. These are being customized with chrome 4-spoke frames. Standard build otherwise with 2 spiders, single leads, and standard cone -- most efficient setup for this application.

  5. I have a sa8 that's dual 4ohm. I can't wire it to 8ohms there wouldn't be any power. So can the 100.2 go down to 2 ohms bridged and if so how many watts would it push?

Thanks to the Sundown folks for answering all my stupid "rookie" install questions. This was my first install and I did everything but build the box. My emails were all answered within 20 minutes or less. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Those Nightshades are going to rip my little CRV apart. Here is the finished product. (Well almost. I haven't gotten the 100.4 hooked up yet)

  8. Just got the new 1200d, setup with knukonceptz 4 gauge and my old 80 amp fuse from my alpine pdx 600 watt, and so far it sounds a lot more like 600 than 1200. Would I see a huge improvement if I upgraded to 1/0? The reason I ask is KnuKonceptz site says their 4 gauge handles 200 amps, and apparently the 1200 pulls only 150 amps. Either way, I'm definitely upgrading my fuse to 150 like it should be.

Ok so here's the deal...I ordered 2 sa15's 2ohm and a saz-1500d v2 The ported size is 3-4 cubes so I found a ported box that had 3.05 cu ft for each sub and tuned at 29hz...so come to find out that's the gross cu ft and it has 2.55 per sub, so my question is...is this box waaay to small for what I have? If so there is a audio place near by I could have build me a custom box....so if I go this route what do you guys think on a box? It will be my everyday driver and im just lookn for some hard hitn bass, for all tyeps of music but mainly hip/hop, rap....not to concerned with db numbers. I know you guys have played with many different boxes and tuning so just point me wh…

Hey guys! Well, I finally built a box on my own. it is not pretty, but then pretty doesn't always add db's. It is 4.13 cubes before displacement and 3. something after displacement. I still have a lot to do inside the box, but it did quite well without any improvements done to it yet. In initial testing, I was able to do 149.19db and at the show I did 149.2. I could probably do better with fully charged batteries. Not too bad for a small box. I have some pics. Tell me what you think.

  20. As much as I love the beast that is the 200.4 it's our lowest selling model. We are teaming up with WoofersEtc.com to get this closed out -- keep your eye on their site for them to be added at a special price. I am saving one for my personal car as it's an awesome amp -- so if you wanted one get in touch with WoofersEtc.com soon

So I am looking to pick up my first monster amp and I'm between these two, cause I'm afraid they are going to stop making them. I am aware of the fact that the ns1 has had some problems in the past (mechanically, and shipping related) and that the ns1 is more oriented towards competition use. The SAZ-5000 I haven't heard a whole lot positive or negative or any feedback really at all. Besides the input voltage differences that the ns1 has and it's power difference, what are some differences between the two.

Need some opinions! I am gonna be running a 3000d. I am gonna have good electrical. Should I stick with the 1ohm load and see what kind of power I can get out not dropping below 13 volts or since I have the electrical to back it up go with .5? What kinda power difference will I see?

No offense to anyone, ive never heard one. i'm just curious, but what is so great about a sundown audio amp, I have read the specs and they seam good, but there thd distortion isn't that low, and people always recommend the 1500rms version for an xcon and I always wondered why?? I have read they have plenty of raw power, but i'm the kind of guy that likes to know every detail.
