We haven't re-clamped since moving stuff around but it was clamping 1670 watts yesterday at 151.0 dB -- HU volume hasn't changed, we simply moved stuff around so we are assuming power isn't a whole lot different. We are going to get another video soon as well... we got a 152.2 in the driver side kick panel. Haven't had time to do a video just yet.

how much will each amp do at 0.5 ohms? i heard 2200 each, and strapped they would do around 4200. is this correct? also, has anyone wired it to 0.5 ohms and ran it daily? if so, did you have any problems with it?

Since we tore up the Nightshade proto I decided to have some fun showing off how strong the cone is. I cut the surround off so it would sit flat on the ground and had Justin (local sales rep) stand on the back of the voice coil: Just sits at around 350 pounds Neither the cone or the triple joint glue failed and he bounced up and down a bit while he was on there.

which would be better suited to a 4th order BP install? mainly looking for input from sundownz since he owns both companies and can give their honest opinion. or if someone on here has used both (which I doubt since the SD-2 are still in pre-order). they can be had for about the same price and I was curious.. I know the differences between Sundown 15" nightshade and the T3 TSS 15" ??? someone has tested them both? or knows me an answer? I am interested in the differences Structural and application power, etc. etc.

I am stuck between the Cadence TXA 6004 and the Sundown 100.4. Both sound like great amps with great warranties. What really are the differences other then prices?

Just a taste. Building this truck to compete in IASCA SQC. Ok so I got a set of SA 12's a few months back had originally had two e12's on my old amp but replaced the amp with a saz-1200d and my e12's was dual 2ohm so I ordered two of the new v2 dual 4ohm but find out a few days later they are out of stock.. so thinking I asked if I could just pay the difference for two new Sa12's I was told sure. . Aight I'm planning on buying 1 of 4 custom nightshade 10s that jacob custom made with the blue basket. I wanted to know if this sub would be suitable in a 4th order bandpass enclosure. Also would like to know what's the best frequency to tune the enclosure for daily driver ( I like hip hop music and love the lows lol). I would be using a digital design m1b amplifier to run the sub. Ryan from ram designs will be designing my enclosure most likely but I wanted everyones input b4 I do so. Sundownz,.....have you ever thought about manufacturing some batteries like DC Sound Labs, Cactus Sounds etc.? I thought this would be a nice addition later on down the road for expansion to the company.

looking at a SAZ and SAE1000d, and need to clarify the differences. -thinner case on the SAE -smaller heatsink on the SAE What were the other differences? Any reason not to get the SAE?

Just whipped up a quick ported box for a 03 Ford Lightning truck for a local here, box came out good and cannot wait to hear it in his truck. Box is pretty simple 1cuft tuned to 35hz with a single aero port. Will be installing this and building his small amp rack this coming weekend, and I have nothing but great expectations on performance from this sub. This is the second local here that I have recommended the SD series too who purchased them. The first I believe picked up a pair of the SD12s.

any one know what i should set my saz-3000D for at 1.5 ohm's? or just set it for a 2 ohm load?

Looking into something that I'd be proud to put the "Sundown Audio" name on... and I think I may be on to it. I've been speaking to an engineer about doing a bigger power amplifier the way I think it should be done. How does 4000 watts @ 1 ohm @ 0.01% THD anywhere from 12v to 16v sound ? At a soft clip (eg: burp) up to 6500 watts at anywhere from 12v to 16v. MSRP would be around $1999 to $2199 or so for this bad boy. Would be about 33.5" long give or take... and accept dual 1/0 inputs. I may be testing a prototype by the end of the year. Don't ask about the ETA for production - it's a big project requiring a large investment so it's hard to say.

i am interested in a 3 way component system. reason being, one 2 way component system wouldnt be enough for me. i think a 3 way system would be more broader, with a woofer, a vocal mid range driver and a tweeter. i was looking at focals. model 165 A3 from there "Access" line. im not that particular to where i need to hear them before i buy. im sure i would be satisfied. im use to listening to factorys so any component sysem would probably do me good. anybody have suggestions or experience with a 3 way system? and also is the rated rms power totaled between all speakers on each crossover?

so im pumping gas today and the guy at the pump ahead of me seen my sub thru my windshield and ask'd if its the old power hx2. i said ya and he started talking bout he used to have a pair then he ask'd what i was runnin it with and i pointed thru my hatch n said a sundown saz1500. he said no shit?and im the first here in oklahoma other then himself that hes talked to who has any clue what sundown is. and then he says he will be working for sundown audio this summer and i think he said his name is hitman or sumthin....asian guy in his early 20's....is this guy for real or just talkin out his ass

Since the new SAZ-1500d v2 does not have any fuses inside or outside of the amplifier, what is the suggested size for the in line fuse?

Just how good is the SQ of the SAX-100.4? It's good enough for the average Joe but is it good enough to drive a set of SEAS Lotus Reference 6.5" comps? I'll be running a Zapco DSP6-SL for my processor and the comps will be run active. I think 100W per driver is enough power, but am I going to be satisfied with the SQ of the amp?

Dont really know what amp to buy im bearly gona start building and was wondering if i should go with the rockfosgate t2500 or sundown SAZ-3500d money not a problem , oh and im going to be running one 15 fi btl havent bought it nether nor sure if to get 1 ohm or 2 ohm some body please help me.
