Sundown Audio

Since the new SAZ-1500d v2 does not have any fuses inside or outside of the amplifier, what is the suggested size for the in line fuse?

Are they any good. I am thinking about getting one. Saz-1500.

Hey everyone, new member here. I was reading up on sundown amps and they seem extremely fantastic for the money. Well anyways, I picked up a set of boston pro60 components. They are rated at 125w rms @ 3 ohm (yes, wtf is it 3 ohm?) Now the problem is that I want to get a nice clean amp to power those components. I dont want to spend outrageous amounts of money either since I've gone WAY over budget already (blew a ton of cash on a p800prs head unit) Now I was thinking about the 100.2 but my concern is that there is not enough power. Also for the ratings I've seen, it goes from 4 to 2 ohm. Should I just use the number in the middle of the two ratings to find out what 3 ohm…

Our prior unit had extensive supplier issues to the point where we've just had to write off all of that work and tooling. In any event... I decided to re-visit the X-8 idea and base it on our SA-8 v.2 frame tooling. The first challenge was to make a GREAT spider for a 2.5" coil on an 8" woofer... which is difficult and we used extensive software optimization before tooling. Fortunately our basket allows a spider about 10mm wider than pretty much all other 8" frames out there. which would be better suited to a 4th order BP install? mainly looking for input from sundownz since he owns both companies and can give their honest opinion. or if someone on here has used both (which I doubt since the SD-2 are still in pre-order). they can be had for about the same price and I was curious.. I know the differences between Sundown 15" nightshade and the T3 TSS 15" ??? someone has tested them both? or knows me an answer? I am interested in the differences Structural and application power, etc. etc.

Ok so I got a set of SA 12's a few months back had originally had two e12's on my old amp but replaced the amp with a saz-1200d and my e12's was dual 2ohm so I ordered two of the new v2 dual 4ohm but find out a few days later they are out of stock.. so thinking I asked if I could just pay the difference for two new Sa12's I was told sure. . So now after having them and meeting a few other people's that have sa's looking at mine it almost looks like I was sent B stock . Im not pointing blame would just like to know because I paid for grade A.. ok i have 2 nightshade V2 D1s and as far as i can remember my coils always sat at pretty much even 1 with a variance of .1 or so ... so in series they would be at 2 ohms per sub... then of course paralleled to 1 ohm at the amp ... well today i was out testing some new songs.. and my subs never get hot .. but today i heated them.. and when i was done playing i checked my temperature of the dust caps and they were both pretty hot.. 1 being hotter then the other... no problem the shades are beast they can take a little heat... so after that i went to the store, then on the way home i played my stereo again .. but it was not as loud... first thought shit.. i burned …

Since we tore up the Nightshade proto I decided to have some fun showing off how strong the cone is. I cut the surround off so it would sit flat on the ground and had Justin (local sales rep) stand on the back of the voice coil: Just sits at around 350 pounds Neither the cone or the triple joint glue failed and he bounced up and down a bit while he was on there.

i am interested in a 3 way component system. reason being, one 2 way component system wouldnt be enough for me. i think a 3 way system would be more broader, with a woofer, a vocal mid range driver and a tweeter. i was looking at focals. model 165 A3 from there "Access" line. im not that particular to where i need to hear them before i buy. im sure i would be satisfied. im use to listening to factorys so any component sysem would probably do me good. anybody have suggestions or experience with a 3 way system? and also is the rated rms power totaled between all speakers on each crossover?

i have 2 fi d1 bl 18's and i was wonderin if it would be better to run 1 saz 3000d or to strap a pair of sundown 1500's?

I have a question. I have been reading that Sundown has two positive terminals hooked up parallel and two negative terminals that are hooked up in parallel. Which has lead me to be confused. (2) JL W7 13.5 (1500Wrms) DVC 1.5 ohm If I wire the woofers as so: And hook just one lead (+) to one (+) terminal on the amp and hook one lead (-) to one (-) terminal on the amp I should come out with 1.5 ohms and approximately 2625Wrms right? (and of course more power since they are underated) And secondly can I just hook it up to one lead and come out with the full power range?

Some of you may know that I was going to get Sundown X 12s and then decided to get 2 10s because I couldn't fit 2 12s properly since they require a much bigger box and I'm kinda limited on room. I decided to have subs/port facing rear and have my battery and amps up closer to the front and build an amp rack there. I have a box design for the 10s here it is: Sundown recommends a much larger box (1.5-2.0 cubes per 10) to utilize the new surround and suspension. It will get much more excursion then. Aight I'm planning on buying 1 of 4 custom nightshade 10s that jacob custom made with the blue basket. I wanted to know if this sub would be suitable in a 4th order bandpass enclosure. Also would like to know what's the best frequency to tune the enclosure for daily driver ( I like hip hop music and love the lows lol). I would be using a digital design m1b amplifier to run the sub.
