Sundown Audio

So I am going the way of Sundown for a single 12 in my Honda Fit. However my skills as far as enclosure design for ported are poop. My maximum external dimensions are 38"Wx18"Dx21"H, I would like to keep the enclosure as small as possible on the Width side, my current dual 10 ported box is 27"W. I also would like to shoot for 2 cuft after displacement, tuned at 30-33Hz. I have all the tools/skills to build the box just lack the mathematical skills to actually calculate it up (yeah sad i know). Anyway if anyone would be kind enough to simply do me up a box and post a pic/diagram so I can have a cut sheet I would be very grateful. I should have a SA12 D4 in the next month …

i read some were that the SAE-1200D is not stable @ 1 ohm. is this true? would i be able to run an fi bl with dual 2 ohm coils at 1 ohm for long periods without harming the amp?

Who would be interested in seeing this come back ??

How many amp hours will be needed to run a Saz-3000d on .5 ohms? i will be having a 270 amp alt. thanks, Julian.

I am currently running a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-x40 for my comp set and I have had no issues with any whine or hum coming through my comps. However, yesterday after swapping out my SAE-1000 for the SAE-1200 I now have a whine in my comps when I plug the RCA's into it. With the volume at 0 the whine is still there. I think it is odd that I am getting a whine in my comps when plugging the RCA's into my sub amp. When I remove the RCA's from the SAE-1200 the whine goes away completely. well yesterday i went to install my sax 50.4 and the amp turn on but when i hook up my speaker there was no sound. Well then today i went to turn my radio on to power up the amp and it was in protection mode but when i unhook my rca the protection mode goes away but the blue led doesnt light on when i unhook the rca

ok my buddy is installing my 100.4 and my 32 6.5" coaxials. they hooked up 16 of the 32 speakers in channel 1 and 2. they wired sets of 8 to 2 ohm. when they turned it on it seemed really quiet. but when they turn it up the amp goes into protect. any specific reason this might be happening????

hello all, i was just wondering what would be optimal box specs for 2-18" Ns v.1. they're both d1's. power to be ran on them is 2 saz 3ks strapped @ 1 ohm . it says on the website 4-5ft.^3 anywhere form 30-40hz. i was planning on 10 cu. after dipslacement. tuning to 35 hz. 16 in^2 per. cu. ft. gonna go with a center slot port let me know what you guys think. thank you!

hello guys i have a question that i want to here your input on..... i have a 100.2 that i just recently got from jake.... last night i added a grill to my sub box, thats it. i then played some late night tip to check for clearance. at this time my mid basses were playing. my 100.2 running off low section on my 3 way on my 880 prs. the sub amp then daisy chains to the 100.2's outputs. I have a Nissan 350Z and I have ordered a 180amp HO alternator from Ohio Gen to go along with a Kinetik HC1400 under the hood. Do you think that'll be sufficient to power one SAZ-1500D (1ohm 1500W), one SAX-100.4 (bridged 320Wx2), and one SAX-100.2 (stereo 100Wx2)? I already have the "Big 3" done as well. I refuse to run Capacitors so please don't even bother suggesting one.

Ok, I am on my way to selling things I have to get another SA12 and then change my amp to a SAZ1500D. I am working on a design for the 2 12s now, however I have never done this kind of design so I need someone to check it, and if I am wrong just let me know. Anyway the box is net of 4cuft after displacement, with a 18.5"x2"x24" port tuned at 29Hz. i have 2 sa-12 dual 4. i cant find another dual 4 can i wire in a dual 2 with them. is it possible? and what will the ohm load be on the mono amp? will they all get the same power

alright well i just got my install in my crx finished today. and decided to show up at some small competition in danville illinois called bass wars or something like that. unfortunetly they are still using the audiocontrol. im running 2 Treo SSi 15s off a sundown 3000d with the gain turned all the way down.
