You told me that my SAE-1200D would not go "Thump" when powering down and you held true to that. Absolutely no noise what so every. It is perfect and for that, I thank you. BUT....as for the power rating I have to call BS. No way no how. I turned this thing on and it scared the chit out of me. I'm running two sealed 12" TC-9's and I thought they were going to fly out of the box. I had always felt happy with my Hifonics 1606D with it's 1600 watt rating but this 1200 puts it to shame. I was running the Hifonics at 3/4 gain and the 1200D is at 1/3 gain and I'm still turning my processor levels down. With my upgraded Alternator my voltage stays at 14.4 even at an idle so I k…

I am so impressed with my SAZ-1000D's output power that I am ordering another Friday or Monday. But here is where I am stuck. Should I run them strapped at 2 ohm, or one amp on one woofer at 1ohm each. I am just wondering the benefits of running strapped, or if their are none why shouldn't I? P.S. I got 1032.53 watts with rise to 1.8ohm and drop from 13.5v to 12.9v.

Through them in a box I had laying around the shop yesterday. They are being powered by a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each. Vid. Got my new box built today. It works MUCH better. Because I had to move the amps to the back of the truck my rcas weren't long enough. Using some y-splitters as a ghetto extension I was able to get one amp going. With only one saz-3500d @ 1ohm on both subs it hit a 149.1 on the TL. Did the same exact # playing some music too. More vids tomorrow.

Some pics from the latest production run that was recently on pre-order that is due end of July to first of August. These have all of the updates to date on the v.1 plus : 1) New slightly taller spacer ring with full Sundown logo (few mm extra for SPL burps) 2) New revised cast frame with better clearances They are compatible with other SA-8s made to date as these are still a v.1 model.

I already tried searching the web and the forums, but I cannot seem to find a quality image of the Sundown Audio logo. Would be great if someone could supply me with the Sundown Audio logo. I prefer a vector image. Anyone care to help?

What would you compare the output to 1 12, 2 12's, 1 15 (all on same power ~1500 rms)? I know this is install dependent but just curious as too a rough estimate what 4 SA-8's on 1500 rms would be comparable to in output. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I calibrated and tested this neo oddball with a WT3 woofer tester; jacob or anyone knowledgeable; do these specs look alright; and to any bandpass enthusiast, does the box have any flaws I should be careful of falling into. I made a Dual-1 8-layer aluminum SPL coil unit for Sean with an extra spider... FS was 59Hz after some break-in so NOT good for a daily application. Due to the new ultra linear spider we have to get the FS starting out closer to the burp frequency as we lack the shift in CMS that causes FS rise with a less linear spider. Best score to date of 152.4 "outlaw" style with 3kw clamped power -- the most we've ever put to an SA-8 to date. The sub was really only at about 1/2-2/3 stroke as well -- where the old SA-8s were hitting the triple joint on the top plate before this point. We are very pleased as Sean's car mysteriously lost around 2dB a while back and we've had to come u…

Went out to another TBP event out in Longview today with the car in 85 degree weather.. 1st run was 151.3 2nd run was 151.2 3rd run was 151.3 all with the mic in the passenger kick. I also tryed port wars, and I've never done it before, but I managed a 165.9 in port wars. Apparently thats pretty high for 1 sub to...go figure ... These amps are astonishing everyone. They are performing flawlessly and everyone wants to know where to get them..I need some brochures Jake...and I need to step up to a pair of 3000D's....hook me up.. I acquired a 18" RE SX today, and I'm planning on building a wall with this woofer, with the trunk as my Infinite Baffle and tearing some stuf…

I'm currently doing up my electrical system to support my SAZ-3000D. I currently have a "200" amp alternator (E-bay special) and I'm looking into doing a 6 battery bank but I have never gone to this extreme, so I was wanting any advice as to wire or to run this type of set up. just to ensure proper charging and what not. Any advice in this field would be very very appericated. To those who are wondering why 6 batts for 1 amp, I'm planning on getting another 3000 as soon as budget allows.

So I got my 2500D, and I just realized that it doesn't have an internal fuse. So what to do? Fuse the + lead about a foot from the amp? Why doesn't it have a built in fuse anyway? Just wondering.

SAE-1500D Prototype - $200 shipped in the continental USA SOLD to fuzzyping! The heatsink on the prototype is not the heatsink that will be used for production and is one of two prototypes made in this case. This prototype does not make full rated power, but is good for around 1000 watts RMS @ 12.8 volts / 1200 watts RMS @ 14.4 volts into a 1 ohm load per my testing. The next revision of this prototype is under construction and will address the low power output as production models will easily meet their 1500 watt rating @ 13.8 volts (as all SAE amps are to be rated). This unit has 4 awg input terminals and 3x 40 amp fuses. ------ Unnamed Prototype - $250 shipped in the…
