Ok, so ive been doing some subwoofer research, and i want 2-3 subwoofers that will give good sound quality and also output. I figured 2 or 3 of the SD models. I have 4 X8 V.2 D4's in a ported box. Im looking for advice on what amp to use and should I drop them to 2ohm? And should I run them off of 1 amp or 2. And what amps are recommended. Help me OB1.

I have a prototype SAE-100.4 on the way with my 1200D shipment... here are a few pictures of it to share : It features a new double sided board design like the SAE-1200D v.2 does. Crossovers are very basic as it is an SAE model and it is also made in China alongside the SAE-1200D. This will NOT replace any SAX multi-channel models... it is simply a part of our lower cost SAE line. There is NO ETA YET... price is also pending.

Okay i have been running a 1500d on 4 10" kickers while i wait for my sa-10's . I had another 1500d in closet, so i decided to go ahead and throw it in,and get it strapped, and ready for the sa's . Heres the deal i had the gain set all the way down so as to not destroy the kickers. Added the second 1500d, and now i can set gain to almost 3/4 and its still not as load as with just 1 amp the single was running 1ohm and the 2 was at 1ohm strapped so .5 each. voltage doesnt drop thats not a issue i just cant figure out why its louder with only 1 amp running if 1 was bad it wouldnt work at all strapped? or could that be a problem?

so i am new here just kind of feeling out a system for my daily driver(91 civic hatchback) i want to keep the rear hatch for the most part seeing as i do take my kid in it sometimes and have to randomly carry little stuff back there so i was thinking either 1 of the sa-8's in a t line(really want to build one they look sweet) if i have the room i know they can get to be pretty large or do 2 in a box around 1.5 cubes i will be powering what ever with a planet audio big bang 950 so 650x1 at 2 ohms that should work really well on a single or a pair. keep in mind i am not trying for huge numbers just something cool that make people go wtf 8's no way and be decently loud. any …

Looking for suggestions on which sub would be better suited for my situation. I have right at 6 cubes after all displacements, figuring on 82 square inches of port tuned to 33hz. Power will not be an issue with either sub, current plan is one or two PPI Black Ice 1800s. Electrical will consist of 270A alt and 2 D3100s. Going into a very well deadened 99 Ram Quad Cab. The reason for the limited space is I'm attempting to keep a small seat area on either side and run the enclosure centered on the back seat, seat bottom to ceiling. This was to be a week of catching up on e-mails BUT the container of SA speakers showed up about a week early so we've spent the week unloading, sorting, and shipping the SA woofers. I've done as many e-mails as possible during but still have over 100 messages to do. Do you think it would be okay to install a SAZ-1500D and SAX-100.2 like the following pictures? The SAZ-1500D will be powering two TC Sounds OEM 10's and the SAX-100.2 will be powering a pair of CDT Braxial ES-630's. The pics are of a 350Z.

Everything was working fine last night. This morning i turn on the car and i can hear static coming from the woofer. I figured it was the subwoofer coil rubbing or something. Well i try 2 other subwoofers and i get the same result. Everything seems to work fine except there's static that kind of sounds like rubbing styrofoam together. I tried everything to rule out other components and still the same result. Strangely enough the amp works fine apart from that. So i have no clue what to do now. Do i just send it in to get repaired or what? I never thought i'd have any problems with it. Any help would be appreciated.

So, I have a 2006 VW GTI that needs a system. Plans, so far, as follows: Dynavox 8" Midbass driver (~60 - ~250 Hz)* DLS Iridium IR3 midrange (~375 - ~3000 hz) DLS Iridium IR1 tweeter (~3000 Hz and up) * I may opt to use Morel HU9.1s or a VIFA 8s -- still brain storming here. Built a box for a guy, he put a little sub in it on a Sundown SAX 100.2 bridged at 4 ohms and took a couple videos for me. I figured I'd share them. I've said it before, the 100.2, while being the smallest current offering, is my favorite amp. A single DD 1008 on a 100.2 bridged at 4 ohms. Tuned low, especially for an 8, but still managed to do a 132.9 on music out of a trunk, and the back seats don't fold down.

Coming back from a snowboarding trip almost home and system shut down. Fuses are fine but amp is not turning on. Light is not turning on the amp.

I'm helping my friend find some e8s and everywhere seems to be sold out, plus it looks like there's a rush for them on forums. What's the deal? Is there just a shortage in production? Update in design? On hiatus? I'm just afraid they're being discontinued.

Revised my winter rebuild plans for you guys. These are set in stone now and all my calculations for airspace and port area have been tested with the old drivers. This should give everyone an idea of what is going in. Car is getting a motor rebuild, transmission work, and suspension work done for the weight that is about to go in it right now (this should be most of Winter). I Can't guarantee a time I will release it. My hybrid 18" TC5200 Drivers will be here in a week!
