hi im new to this forum and i just purchased 2 saz 3000's and at the last competition saturday my amps clipped out thinking it was the hot weather i stopped playing and let em cool then i saw a thread on this forum where sum ppl had the same problem where the slave wud switch into protect and it was due to the rcas runnning from the br out to the br in and once they switched the rca the problem was no more....now my question is what were the rcas that u had used in order to stop this problem???

Hey jacob, i know several people on here are really looking foward to the 250.2 that will be released in near future, but whats the update on the amp and the stage it in before it hits production? I decided to move away from looking into the spl lanes and hit up the sq lanes because trunk cars are pretty hard to get loud and i think this amp will be perfect for powering two subs using an a/b class amp for possibly mounting 2 12's or so IB or possibly sealed. just looking for a few things like what time frame we're looking at for preorders and when it should all be available to public. I got my amps in yesterday from jacob! And all I can say is WOW! they are beasty! SunDown has never let me down! SunDown Audio I LOVE YOU! Plus I love the new hex head screw's(not phillips anymore)

I've made repeated efforts to get an invoice for one of the amps I bought from DB-r over the last 6 months. I've posted here and sent e-mails to db-r. Neither of you have lifted a finger to help me. I've come to the conclusion that Sundown support is all hype because when I needed some help I couldn't get any at all. The next time I spend a grand on audio equipment it will be someplace else.

ok so i got my self a 3000d and am waiting on my fi q 15" D2 to come. i was wondering if i ever expand to a seconded one if i could run the 2 at .5 at around 2400 watts and not piss off the amp for daily use. other than that any tuning suggestion for the single fi Q besides don't crank the gain knob all the way up. and if u use a dmm what should it read for 1100 - 1200 watts, at the moment it says a bought 70V but that dos not sound right it would have blown my 100A fuse by now it that was true. thank you for your time.

If I wire 2 subs down each dual d1 coils down to 2 ohms meaning each sub is wired down to 2 ohms does the amp bridge that internally to 1 ohm..

So... who would do it ? Lets say if this amp was a full 1 dB louder than even the SAZ-3500D on 12v @ 1 ohm... and the 3500D was already 1 dB louder than the 3000D. Maybe it's already been in testing for a while So we are talking ~2dB gain from the SAZ-3000D on this bad boy. Pre-Order price would be around $1200 or so shipped. Lets see a show of hands.

well i have a long story here... i sold my sa8v2s and shipped them to the buyer.. well he got them and tested them with a dmm and one subs coils read 1.6ohm each (d2 sub) and one sub read 3.0ohm each coil (d4 sub) i was supposed to get 2 d4 subs. so now, i have to give dude his money back, pay for return shipping ($110 both ways now) and as far as im concerned, both 8s are shot... i bought them brand new off ssa 2 months ago. some may ask.. why didnt you check em with a dmm when u got em? well the way i see it, i shouldnt have to being i bought them brand new..... also, when i took them out of my truck, my amp was in protection.. hopefully its not shot but it aint looking…

this is supposed to be a top of the line amp and im so unsatisfied right now. well of course it hits really hard and most likely has the ability to kill my subs but still for being a top of the line amp it has a problem. like i honestly thought since it was described by so meny to be the best, i thought it would not have any problems. The amp works fine i know but thats not what im pissed about... MY BASS KNOB LED DONT WORK!!! like come on mr fuller. jesus... haha im just kidding, great product, and i was just wondering if the led on the remote was a common problem.

As you may know these trunks are huge but shaped stupid wierd.... Just counting the center portion of the trunk, internally i have 8.11 cubes possibly more. I think if i were to remove or alter the carpet padding in the trunk i could gain a little more space. No plans on competing, just having some fun with a rediculous street beater. Plan to run 5- 7k, 3 d3100s, d2400 up front. if i could possibly get a dual alt setup, which if i can getting amps at that is not an issue. All i listen to is rap. any other factors i may be missing, feel free to chime in. I've had no beat since 09.

Not really sure what I am asking here but here goes. I am running a TC3000 15"DVC sub. Each coil is 2ohms. I am running this parallel to a SAZ1500d for a 1 ohm load. With no music this specs out at about a perfect 1 ohm at the box terminals. Now whem I measure resistance while music is playing using my trusty calibrated Fluke 87 DMM, The lowest I am seeing resistance-wise is above 3 ohms. It never gets below and of course we are not going to discuss the high point. This is all done on a 60-20 htz sweep. So one of my questions is, does this mean that my sub is at most only getting 500 ish watts? I suppose what I need to do next is measure voltage and current. Was just doin…

How do I measure it? I have a pair of 1500s strapped on three Fi Bl 18s (dual 2ohm) in a series/parallel configuration. I've already clamped the amplifiers and they are pulling 460a of current, voltage drops from 14.4 to 11.8, and resting resistance is 1ohm. What else is there?

Im getting my Jeep Grand Cherokee ths friday. then gotta save up for sound system. im trying to get 2 18" NS v.2.. But idk if i need dual 1 or 2ohm. this will be for daily use(only listen to rap) and the occasional comp(maybe). 2 saz2500? 1 saz4500? i really dont know which would be best. Im in MOORESVILLE,NC, so i know a lot of people on this board are near here. Even the sundown audio warehouse!! lol.. i met jacob and a lot of the team members back in march in daytona for SBN. I am looking for some cool designs with Sundown Audio logo for a t-shirt. I've seen one before, it was with some amp guts in the back ground and the logo in the foreground. If someone can post that in good quality so I can give it for a print out, it will be great. Also looking for other ideas. I am going to make a white tee, so something that will look good in white back ground... but, just post whatever you got.

Hi all, New to this forum, veteran of Car Audio. I just purchased a new SAX50.4 to run my front stage active (6.5" Silver Flutes and Vifa Vifa NE19VTC ). I know next to nothing about the Sundown amplifiers, but like what I have read. I would like to have as much insight on this amplifier as possible. I mainly bought it for the flexible crossover section, and the good things I've read about it's quality and customer support. I have a RF Punch 200.2 I plant to run mono on a single eD 11kv2. I'm concerned about the two amplifiers being a good match. What kind of real power can I expect from the 50.4? I'm not looking for extreme volumes, but of course want good sound …

Jacob, whats the airspace requirements on these? and when will they be available. Im looking to upgrade my 4 sa8s with 2 10s. would like to use the Nightshade v.2 if possible. im trying to be louder than now but i have only 2.5 ish cubes and lots of power.
