To start off, i have 3 sa 12's, they were on a saz 2k, and i had them in a 5.5 cube box 2 6" aeros, tuned to 35hz, Well that wasn't cutting it for me for the low's, So i had to go back to slot ports, i made a box to recommended size, 5.25 cubes for 3 sa 12's, tuned to 31 hz with 81.25 port area. It sounded great, i loved it, But thought the subs needed more power, so i got my saz 3500 back. Put it in, and the sound changed a lot. It is louder, but doesn't sound as clean now and not as aggressive on some songs it did with the saz 2k. It almost sounds like it lost its "clean, accurate" sound, if that makes any sense. What would cause that? the box being to big now becuase i…

After nearly four years as our best selling product (our first Class-D on the market for that matter) the SAZ-1500D is being re-designed. Everyone knows and loves the current model as it is a powerful, reliable, work horse of an amp but we have been quietly thinking about what to do in order to make a fitting replacement for a while now... I think that everyone will be happy with where it is going Details will be sparse right now but it is going to shrink about 1.6" following our trend of making amps that are more powerful per square inch (SAZ-2500D and SAX-1200D especially). We are also looking into removing the internal fusing as well -- that was very commonly reques…

I was checking out the sundown SA-12's on this website and was wondering if there is a build time for the marked down subs? And as far as the RMS rating goes is it underrated like the Fi subs? Also would a 2.3cuft box @ 34hz with about 25 square inches of port be ok? Here is the link: My link

Hi- I was wondering if it would be more efficient on my electrical to run two 1500d's or one 3000d. I want to get as much efficiency with the current draw as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.

Is the wired remote control for the SAZ-1500D a bass boost or is it a level control meaning will it boost a certain frequency or will it adjust the entire output level of the amp? Also when I set up the amp, my head unit outputs are 5V so I set the gain on the amp for 5V right? So when I attach the wired remote for the amp, regardless of what level the remote is set to I shouldn't get any clipping? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but I've never owned an amp with a wired remote. One last thing, the SAX-100.4 also comes with a wired remote, does it work the same way as for the SAZ-1500D?

Got a pair built to ship to a customer... Customized with double leads, 3 spiders, and a Nightshade cone. Specs as follows with a few minutes break-in : RE: 1.84 ohms FS: 37.87 Hz Qes: 0.531 Qms: 7.56 Qts: 0.496 Le: 1.30 mH Vas: 45.9 L BL: 16.73 NA Cms: 52.21 uM/N Mms: 338 grams Sens: 88.56 1w/1m NS cone + Double leads add about 80 grams MMS compared to the Z v.2 cone with single leads. The added mass got the Fs down and Qts up a bit -- which will be quite suitable for the 4th order band-pass the customer wants to use.

Planning to run this setup for nSPL Finals this weekend... needed to stay under 5000 watts on the nSPL clamp meters. On my meter it clamped exactly 4000 watts last night which should be 4700-5000 on their clamps. Tuning is in the high 30s and peaks at 47 Hz... tuned to 30 Hz and also peaking at 47 Hz it was about 1.8 dB quieter but still not bad at all, IMO. I plan to try cutting the ports down a bit more to see if I can get a tad more from it on the meter... may or may not get that done before the Finals event. Best score with just me in the Jeep was 153.8 and with Nick from Stereo Integrity in it as well we got 154.0 dB -- sealed on the dash. * One SAZ-4500D chilling o…

Well I got a trophy for loudest at the show! Contest was your 30 second average score on music (if that makes sense). I did a 145 flat average 30 seconds. I burped a 148 at 46hz. But that was after beating them ALL DAY long. System consisted of 2 Sundown 1500ds. 2 15" Fully loaded Fi Bl's wired to 1ohm each

Just curious what head unit some of you are using. I've been using a Kenwood kdc-x791 for the last year and I hate it. It sounds good but the screen is horrible in daytime and the interface is the worst I've ever seen. Anyone have a good suggestion in the $300-$400 range? I mostly play mp3 so that feature is a must.

I wanted to know how to strap together 2 of the amps? Do you have to run power, ground and remote to both or just master?

Anyone know where to find mounting depth and cut out for these subs? I'm wanting to install single x-12 in trunk of 09 mustang. I'm sure there are plenty of others looking for this as well.

... do not call from a blocked number or name, your call will not be answered. Sales people love calling us so we do not answer these calls. Also... MUCH more effective than leaving a phone message would be to e-mail me if you can't reach us by phone on the first try. We don't publish the number on our site since it is NOT the best way to reach us... often times we cannot get to the phone.
