came in yesterday, got her in and play with her for a lil while. figure i'd post some pics, know yall have seen em many times. pics are with a phone, kinda crappy quality. ya, i know its an ugly trunk, its not a show off trunk, no show, all go i havent had very many quality subs, so my review is pretty much worthless, but here goes. my last sub was an acoustic elegance c15.1, an old av clone, so thats all i have to compare this to, and this was a drop in replacement for that. first off, it looks gorgeous. got her in and wow, she sounds pretty good, not quite as musical as the ae, but not too much different. the ae sub kinda struggled with the higher bass notes be…

Im thinking bout picking one of these up for my daily Warden set-up. Wanted to see what tests have shown in a standard 12/14.4 volt set-up, id be wiring to .5 ohm.

how could this have happen? i have 2 sa-12's the other one looks ok but i don't know. the amp i had was a sae-1200d. if you need more info let me know. i will get better pic in the morning.

We are working on 12x 15s for a customer build... few teaser shots -- more as it progresses. These are being customized with chrome 4-spoke frames. Standard build otherwise with 2 spiders, single leads, and standard cone -- most efficient setup for this application.

I read somewhere that the little saz 1000 d was discontinued. Is it true ? A friend of mine needs one more for his instal. Can he still buy one? He may not be ready to do so, but he really needs it. He already has 2 of them strapped running a 15" xcon, and he needs one more to strapp with his 3rd saz 1000 (that he bought from me !! ) He is building a demo car with 4 saz 1000, 2 15" xcons, and a lot of speakers in the front doors. He needs a 2nd JBL Crown (bpx 600.4) amp for his mids and highs. Everything will go in a small 2 doors Renault Clio. I will make a build log, of course !

hi there, i got a saz-1000d with 1 15" re xxx with FI d1 recone i recently hit 145.2db, i got stock alternator a 525cca engine batt and 750cca back in the trunk and my ported box is 4.0cu/ft what else can i do to raise more db's with the same amp cause i saw in this forum this amp can hit 146.8, so can you help me out with some tips to get my goal thanks, sundown rules

Im Rebuilding my s10 dis yr with sum new goodies i had the sundown z15s on 1 ab 500.1 and now im stepping up to 2 Z15v2s and 2 ab 500.1s and adding more 1/0 and 4 big C& D Batts! The old setup with the Z15s did a 152.4 at 38hz at the headrest meca style on 160amps of fusing for s3! But this yr im movin up classes since i got more power!!! Hey guys, Seems like everything is selling out this month -- that happens when sales climb WAY faster than expected I suppose SA-12 stock is low but I have TWO production runs on order back to back. Last night as I was just listening to the radio as I was driving along and I began to notice an odd smell in my car. My volume was low, and I have not played my music loud in a while. Initially I thought maybe something was just coming through the vents outside. However, when I got home and popped my trunk I was greeted with a haze of white smoke!!!!! Hi all, I've just installed my new amp : a saz 1500. I had the saz1000 on my 15" xcon. I did it this past week end, so I could not buy what I needed. I used the distribution block I already had. I have a 0 ga wire coming from the under hood battery to the trunk, and coming trough a dist block with 3 "out" : 1 for the sax50.4 amp with a 60amp fuse and the 2 others are now used for the saz1500 with a 80 amp fuse for each wire. So, I have 2 4ga wires that goes into the bass amp instead of one 0ga from the dist block to the amp. Is it safe ? I did not change the ground wire from 4 ga to 0ga, but I will do it today because it might not be safe at all now! Is it worth changi…

so here's my dillema. i bought 2 sa12s after hearing my brothers friend erik talk about them on and on. they were on ebay and i got 2 fro 200. sorry im ballin on a budget. so when i decided to buy my amp i guess i lost my mind cause i bought to big of an amp just because i could and the price was good on db-r. was originally gonna run the 12s in my civic but its kind of ugly right now and just bought a pair of 23s for my tahoe so i might as well put the system in it. if I were to run 3 or 4 dual 4 sa 12s what would this amp put out at 2 ohms or 2.667? it will be a sealed enclosure cause i dont think i can fit a ported enclosure behind my third row along with an extra ba…

i was wondering...i have 2 sets of components...and was planning on giving them 150watts each..600watts in all for all 4. I figured i could bridge each channel and run 2 comps off of the bridged channel. but the amp is rated for 320w at 4 ohms not 2 ohms which is what they would be running...i dont guess this would work would it??

so ive just finished building my 2nd box for these, and still not satisfied. ive done subs forward, port up in middle, but the box made me move my seat to close to the steering wheel it was 6 cubes 80sq inches of port, and i think there wasn't enough port area. sounded good though. my new box is subs up, port up (drivers side) 6 cubes, 94 sq inches of port. both box's tuned to 32 hz, so im looking to for help on something will i will be happy with, im not looking for numbers, just something that gets low and hella loud at it. my truck is a 99 s10 ext cab. do i need a bigger box for such low tuning? higher tuning? i play a lot of low 30-35 hz songs when i have it full ti…

I am sold,, i just got my nightshade 12 with the cracked rim from this guy for a 100 after I checked the coils both read 1.3 so i snatched it. First of seing as how this is my first sundown product I must say I am VERRY Impressed. Going from maistream product to Sundown I must admit I was a little skeptical at first. I've been pretty quiet on here for a while now but I have to say a few words about Sundown and Jacob. I bought 6 - 3500D's and 3 - 125.2's over the course of last year. I never got them all at once but Jacob gave me discounts anyway even though I'm not a member of Team Sundown. Not to mention numerous stickers, t-shirts and a can cozy all for free. A few months back I had an issue with one of the 125.2's and asked Jacob what I should do. He suggested the normal "check your wiring and signal paths" which I did. I even took the amp out of the car and the problem still occurred on the bench. Jacob accepted it as a warranty repair but could not find anything wrong with …

Through them in a box I had laying around the shop yesterday. They are being powered by a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each. Vid. Got my new box built today. It works MUCH better. Because I had to move the amps to the back of the truck my rcas weren't long enough. Using some y-splitters as a ghetto extension I was able to get one amp going. With only one saz-3500d @ 1ohm on both subs it hit a 149.1 on the TL. Did the same exact # playing some music too. More vids tomorrow.
