Sundown Audio

Any one have them like t/s, mounting depth, displacement etc?

Hi all, I've read here and there not to use the bass boost( because of clipping signal?). But, if it is so bad, why do we have it on the Sundown amps like my saz 1000 D ? How and when to use it? Mine is still set to the minimum, and my 15" Icon seems to love it:)!

Alright so i get my sae 1200D and 12" fi bl installed saturday. drive around for 30 minutes and love it. stop to eat for about 45 minutes. when i come back and try to turn it on the sub makes a weird noise and the amp goes into protection mode. restart the car a couple of times and it does the same thing. take it to the place i got it installed and they rewire it and it still goes into protection and they hook up an alpine amp and the alpine works fine. so do i send it back? or is there some other way of fixing it?

Alright, my 2 amps came in. My kicker amps never had this many controls, so I'm going to need some help... How do I hookup the RCA's on the 1000D? Besides the gain, how should I set the other controls? Why are there 2 speaker terminals if it's a 1 channel amp? Which terminals do I use for a single dual 2 ohm sub? How do I hookup the RCA's on the 100.4? ...All the controls? The manuals say practically nothing. 1000D... 100.4... If you need a better picture of something please let me know.

The molds completed a few days ago and the first samples rolled out -- here are a few of the first look photos from our basket manufacturing company! I am super excited about the potential these will bring to out larger woofers. Once our new spiders, cones, surrounds, and spacers are all tooled we can really show off what these are capable of -- those parts should have completed samples as well soon too. These things carry some serious heft... the base plate that bolts to the motor is 9mm thick un-painted compared to 5mm on most 4 and 12-spokes and 8mm on the Ti-18 frames (add about 0.5mm for paint). Well guys I finally did it. I broke 150db. I got a 150.7db @ 36Hz in the passenger kick with a TL and drivers door open. need new amp. quick question.... how would it hold up @ .7 ohms? with, 230A alt, Yellow top under hood, Kinetik 2400 in back, 1/0 under hood & back, second run there but not hooked up, It's either .7 or 2.8, two Quad .7 coil subs... TC-3000. I could do two 1500's @ 1.4 ohm each I guess... but I rather like the idea of one big amp... Ideas?

Started in on the install.. Wish I had more ground cable, we decided to do multiple runs and I don't have enough grey/silver since we used some for more power wire.. doh. It'll all be hidden anyway. Lots more to do (probably a couple more days worth).. I'll keep the pics coming.

this is part of my new sq install which consists of a premier 880 prs head unit morel hybrid ovation6 set RE XXX 12 the install inst complete yet but , i just couldnt wait to post it ... any feed back will be appreciated the laser etching was pretty cool to watch ... took about ten minutes and was totally worth it ... cant wait to light it up with blue l.e.d.`s

yo guys. im still patiently waiting on my 2000d to come out of preorder but till then im tryin to get everything else. the memphis mojos that i want arent in stock now. so my question is, how do the 12'' ssa icon compare to the mojos?? and how much RMS do they push? is the 2000d sufficient to power 2 of them? D1 or D2? their in the same price range. so im wondering if should try them out instead. please give your opinions thanks

I have 2 ns v.2 12's D2 and 2 3500s strapped to 1 ohm. How ballzy must 1 be to strap to 0.5 for 0.25 each? Would there be a good db gain?

I just moved to west sac and went to a dbdrag show and I didnt see one person running sundown.seen a ton of DC stuff wow do they like dc here. I'm looking to start an s10 build SSNW in an s10 reg cab and was thinking about running some more sundown.what do you think? going to start small couple of 18's and a single amp for now. but i have to find the right truck first.

I figured I would share. I got it installed today. I am down a battery and some power. I had an additional YellowTop and a SS PCA2000D. I really can't tell too bad. Once I get the new battery and upgrade the power wire, I will give her the beat down and report back.

I received a brand new Sundown saz-1500 this week and I just got around to installing it. All I can say is wow, it pushes the heck out of my RE SE 10 d4. It's funny, this is only giving the sub about 800 watts since it's running at 2 ohms. In addition, I have the gains on the amp turned way down, as I have not had a chance to set the gians properly yet. I think it's going to be time to get a sub that, first of all, can get to a one ohm load, and secondly, take the 1500 watts. That amp is a beast. I'm excited lol. well yesterday i went to install my sax 50.4 and the amp turn on but when i hook up my speaker there was no sound. Well then today i went to turn my radio on to power up the amp and it was in protection mode but when i unhook my rca the protection mode goes away but the blue led doesnt light on when i unhook the rca

I recently just purchased a set of Rainbow Germaniums (150w RMS) and a Profi 12" subwoofer (DVC 2ohm - 50~350w RMS). Currently I have eD amps in my car (9.2 & 9.1) and I've heard alot of great things about Sundown amps. The SAX-100.4 caught my eye after seeing pictures of it, but not sure if it's gonna work with my setup. If I run Channels 1-2 to my Germaniums and have Channels 3-4 to my sub (needs to be 2ohm if possible), would this be a possible setup?? I know the Germaniums will not get the power it needs @ 100x2, but if I bridged the 100.4, then that is way too much power for them. Also, how many watts will the Profi sub be getting if I bridged the rear chann…

Just finished wiring up my car and I'm kinda confused about the settings on the amp. Heres my setup: SAX 100.4 (#1) Bridged 1&2 = Left Mid Bridged 3&4 = Right Mid SAX 100.4 (#2) Ch 1 - Left Tweeter Ch 2 - Right Tweeter Ch 3&4 = Saved for future sub Ok from my previous installed with a Pioneer Premiere 860MP running actively, I know where I want my Xovers to be at, but I just dont know how set that on the amp. Its been four years since I last setup my system. I recently swapped headunits to a Pioneer Avic D3 and now will be going passive. Jacob, thank you so much for all of the support and finally here it is... the F150 is done mostly. Most of these photos are on my build log posted on the SSA forum. Here is the finished (mostly) product. A few more tweaks are coming a Kenwood head unit, leather interior, some fiber glass work (probably going to put some E8s in for mid-bass), wheels and new paint. Oh did I mention that it's a sleeper?
