well i use going to go with aq hdc3 18 but i love the way the z 15 look and i love sundown products. here the problem i dont know which set up would be better. i going to buy my subs on wensday and i dont know if u should get 2 z15's d4 and run them at one ohm to a saz3000d or i should i get 2 z15's d2 and run the at one ohm to each saz 1500d or should i just get another t10001bd and run each z15 d2 at one ohm to each t10001bd?

hey, new to sundown, been hearing alot about the SAE 1000D amps, where can i get one of those??? and for how much??? im looking for something to power up my Fi SSD 12

I'm looking for a jumping off point for a box size. If someone would be able to help me out that would be great. It's going into a S10 extended cab.

I have 2 SA-12's in this box and am curious if I could use it for the Z-12's? It's 3.5 cubes tuned to 30Hz.

Was in the boys car driving with him tunes were medium loudness. We were able to talk over them. Suddenly speakers sounded funny and shut off. By speakers I mean subs. We get back home and amp fuses blown. We replace fuses subs come back on, sound even funnier and then pop. Fuses gone. Allow me to add, after the first pop of fuses, we checked all cables and wires. No shorts. Started checking subs and every one of them showing open. Not dead short. open as in there is no circuit from positive to negative. Subs are wired together at 2 ohms. I have 2 sundowns running, 1 amp for each. The subs are both seeing 2 ohms and putting out 1600 to each sub. Which output terminal do I put the speaker wire in. Left or right. It says for 1 sub its right, 2 its left, but the amps are not strapped. Help?!?!

I'm picking up a pair of Z15's off a guy on the forums here. Due to trunk space and lack of a HO Alt I'm only going to be running one of them and either selling the other or keeping it as a spare. Since they're dvc4 I can only run it at 2 ohms on the amp, and the product manual states that the amp does 600w at 2 ohms. Will there be a large downgrade in performance running them this low? Right now I'm running 2 shitty 12s at a 4 ohm load, and since the manual states that it does 300 @ 4ohm, I dmm'd it at 300. I'm hoping that the z15 on twice the power will blow the 12's out of the water. But by giving the sub just over half its RMS, am I severely limiting it's potential? O…

My buddy was driving and had his system on... And it turned off. So he came to my house. All the fuses were fried. And when i opened it up, theres a black wire that is now disconnected... How? Idk. What would cause this? Can i just sauder a new wire on and be good to go? the amp is a SAE-1200 and its running 2 Fi Q 12" D1's Thanks. Pics...

I was wondering if you think it would be better to get a 1000 or 1200 for a daily driver. I'm putting them on 2 15 BL's ... any idea's on this? the pro's cons to both?

Is it possible to switch the casing around o the amp, so the RCAs are on the left side? Also Jacob I need two speakers screws for a 100.4 please

well ive built many boxes for my ext cab s10 over the past 2 years, and ive never really been happy with it. Right now im running 3 sa12's on a saz 3500. my box currently is 5.26cubes @ 31hz with 81.25 in2 of port, with subs firing forward, port up drivers side. The box i tried before this was subs forward, 2 6" aeros firing up @ 36hz. I liked the box with the aeros but wouldn't play the lows i wanted it to (but found out later after 2nd box my ssf needed to be turned down, so im not truly sure if it would play the lows i wanted it to or not. Just as title states, I just aquired an used 3000d and it will be powering an D1 sub.. this is a daily setup and the sub is an RE MT12... Im basically on stock electrical with an yellow top and BIG 3 in an S10 chevy.. Should i wire this in series or parallel you think... I must add that i dont understand all that much about impedence rise but know it exsist and do not know what or how safe this is at .5 ohms.. anyways, thank you..

Okay after researching and deciding on Sundown Audio SA-12's the time or should I say box has arrived and I have nothing but praise for Jacob and Sundown Audio. I don't have the space to list all of the different subs I have used over the years but if you can name them, chances are I have owned a pair. These subs absolutely lived up to the hype. When I first installed the box I just disconnected one box and put another in. I was replacing my Kicker SoloBaric L5's. I have just installed my saz1000D : wow !!! I had a JL A1800D (650 watts at 4 ohms), and now the Sundown at 1 ohm. I was not expecting such a big change in output!!! It's'another world !! Couldn't be happier Now my Icon 15 is playing loud, low, and always sooo clean. But I wonder what to do with the remote provided : is it for the gain? Is it for bass boost? How to use it? Ok i m trying to get the best box i can for my tens i have been going back and forth on size and tuning. I just read the new thread saying about 1 cube would be good if you plan on pushing the subs i will be putting about 825 watts throu these for 10s. I thinking 35htz tuning. Should i aim for the 4 cubes or 1 cube a piece? low ? higher ? wats the displacement on these subs ? thanks

Just wondering about some power testing results for the SAX series amplifiers. Anyone ever test these to see what they really pushin? Also, I wouldn't mind picking up some equipment to do my own power testing, what would I need to do this?

I've never used the remote on my past amps because they never came w/ one so I want to ask what does the remote control when set to max. Max gain on the amp or max gain set by the amp?

Called my shipping company and they say I should have my pallets on Tuesday -- would be sooner but Holiday closings are delaying it a bit. So... we'll be shipping as many amps as we can next week, hope to have pre-orders cleared out by Friday next week.
