hi, i got around to measure to see where i can mount the amps that i am about to get. and it looks like i am going to have to mount the 1500d on the enclosure. now the enclosure is 3/4 mdf with bracing. i figure if i mount the 1500d on a 1" thick mdf board then mount that to the enclosure that will be enough to limit the vibrations and any other problems with mounting amps on enclosure. so will that be enough or should i go thicker.

Well currently I have no room in the back of my SUV. So the only option to mount the amp is on the box. My box is subs up port back. I have room on the top to mount the amp. I put a couple coins, keys, and other chit on top to see how bad it vibrates. It definetly vibrates, but will it be bad for the amp?

Has anyone mounted their Sundown amps upside down? If so, were there any issues with heat?

I need to mount two amps together. One on top of the other. What is the easiest, best way to do this. I also need to keep them as tight as possible due to space limitations. Any suggestions?

Most of today will be a dedicated moving day -- we have been doing just a little at a time up to now but we are spending a solid day of it today. So shipping and e-mails will likely be delayed a day.

im new to this forum but not new to car audio. ive done many installs in many types of cars trucks and suvs. i have installed sundown some times before and now im deciding on buying a pair of sa-8s. i drive a 95 dodge ram 1500 single cab that i just bought. currently i have 2 jbl p1224 12s in a downfiring box center console build in a 3.96 cubed box after compensation tuned to about 37 htz on 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm on a hifonics brutus amp. ive heard sundown sa 12s sound incredibly good and i just want to make sure im not going to lose any output by running two of these 8s from my two 12s that mount at 14 and 5/8s and weigh 33 lbs a peice. i guess i just want some clarit…

If i were to use 4 or more sundown 3000's, does the BR out work for daisy chaining multiple amps together, or is it only for strapping 2 amps together?

Alright, not sure if jacob remembers but I bought a used 1500D off a guy named Rob E and it started blowing fuses everytime the amp would turn on...........and now, surprisingly im having the same problem. Amp ran just fine for almost a year then all of a sudden it just cut out during a song. I've been using gold plated 80 amp agu the whole time..... So anyway when I sent the 1st one in, I got a brand new unit back just hoping I can still send it in for repairs in a couple weeks as I dont have much extra cash for shipping at the moment. just to clear things up......amp was being ran at 2ohms to 2 old type r 12's sealed with 4 awg wire.....all connections were solid includ…

I figured I would share. I got it installed today. I am down a battery and some power. I had an additional YellowTop and a SS PCA2000D. I really can't tell too bad. Once I get the new battery and upgrade the power wire, I will give her the beat down and report back.

Both my 1500D & 100.2 is getting hot under normal operation. Not so hot I can't touch 'em but pretty warm. The 1500D is pushing my SS RL-p D2 at 1ohm & my 100.2 is pushing my comp set at 4ohms. I run 1/0 wire to both & they are in an area where they should be getting a sufficient amount of air for cooling. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks guys.

So... I got tired of not going to any shows so I've thrown something in the CRX. Took my "magic box" from the Jeep and threw my prototype Monster 15" in there as it was the only D1 sub I found laying around and powered it with the prototype 2500D. * Stinger SPP1500 under the hood with oval 1/0 Stinger flex wire -- one run power and one run ground to the back. * Upgraded factory ground wire here too. * Got it in behind the b-pillar. SAX-100.4 under the box. * Wire mess with distribution blocks. * Magic box in all of it's glory. * SAZ-2500D is under these boards. Just threw this in quickly with scraps to test. ... drum roll ... * Also did 150.1 but didn't take photo.…

I'm not seeing any new e-mail in my box since 7:30 PM last night... just a heads up in case anyone e-mailed me since then. I'm not sure if I'm going to get them later or if they are lost, my server is not responding at the moment.

Hey guys! Well, I finally built a box on my own. it is not pretty, but then pretty doesn't always add db's. It is 4.13 cubes before displacement and 3. something after displacement. I still have a lot to do inside the box, but it did quite well without any improvements done to it yet. In initial testing, I was able to do 149.19db and at the show I did 149.2. I could probably do better with fully charged batteries. Not too bad for a small box. I have some pics. Tell me what you think.

My friend got a sa-8v2 in a ported box and I was amazed how it sounded. So I decided togo the SA-12 route rather then my DC L4 18. Just got em in today. Can't wait to get started on the box Sunday.

Okay after researching and deciding on Sundown Audio SA-12's the time or should I say box has arrived and I have nothing but praise for Jacob and Sundown Audio. I don't have the space to list all of the different subs I have used over the years but if you can name them, chances are I have owned a pair. These subs absolutely lived up to the hype. When I first installed the box I just disconnected one box and put another in. I was replacing my Kicker SoloBaric L5's. With the volume at a low level I have to be honest and say I was not impressed but as I turned the volume up I was completely amazed at what I heard. I cannot say enough at how amazed I am at a sub that's …

came in yesterday, got her in and play with her for a lil while. figure i'd post some pics, know yall have seen em many times. pics are with a phone, kinda crappy quality. ya, i know its an ugly trunk, its not a show off trunk, no show, all go i havent had very many quality subs, so my review is pretty much worthless, but here goes. my last sub was an acoustic elegance c15.1, an old av clone, so thats all i have to compare this to, and this was a drop in replacement for that. first off, it looks gorgeous. got her in and wow, she sounds pretty good, not quite as musical as the ae, but not too much different. the ae sub kinda struggled with the higher bass notes be…
