I got my amps in yesterday from jacob! And all I can say is WOW! they are beasty! SunDown has never let me down! SunDown Audio I LOVE YOU! Plus I love the new hex head screw's(not phillips anymore)

I was wondering what the difference between the older 3000D and the New 3000D? Besides the casing.. Can the older 3000D be okay at .5 Ohm?

'06 Nissan Altima 2 RF T1 15s & 2 Sundown 1500s '93 Ford Explorer 2 Sundown NightShade 15s & 2 Sundown 1500s Yes they use the AudioControl meter but its still fun and yes we both took first in our classes by a huge margin. I was just over 10db louder then 2nd place in my class.

System: (3) SA-8 D4's Phoenix Gold ZX600.2 titanium. (1200W @ 2 Ohm bridged) Looking for help designing the box for these bad boys. I've don't see any information on the Sundown site regarding recommended volumes / port sizes / tuning, so here I am... I've played with WinISD some, and basically decided to tune it somewhere around 33 Hz. For those of you that have these bad boys, what tuning do you run, what volume of box, and how many subs? For my build I'm thinking of going with .6 cubes per sub (chambered box) with a slotted port that is 5" x .75" x 16" (slot port inside dimensions). From what WinISD tells me this should be sufficient to run @ 33 Hz tuning, but I want i…

Hi Sundown or whoever can help me. A few questions. What is the main differnces between the new and old amp? How long can a amp be in a shop before it go's bad. The thing is; they dont sell any of these amps as most people here are into SQ. Im just worried I buy the thing and it gives me troubles.

alright well i just got my install in my crx finished today. and decided to show up at some small competition in danville illinois called bass wars or something like that. unfortunetly they are still using the audiocontrol. im running 2 Treo SSi 15s off a sundown 3000d with the gain turned all the way down. This weekend i wanted to see what the Lb Moab XxX 15" would do in a Street beat boxx.. 149.3db @ 44Hz was thats 1 sub w/ 6000watts rms / 7cf box ported to 36Hz

So the 1000 is rated at 1000W @ 14.4 volts. What kind of numbers are we looking at closer to voltages on stock electrical, say 13V? Would two 1000d's be content on an 100A alt, with the big 3, and a battery in the rear? Also, one amp does 1000W, but two strapped does 1800. Why is this? And one more question... would a 1000d on a Fi SSD 12" wang awesomely? Thanks! -Trevor

A few Sundown guys at the show today... Big Al with 2x SAZ-3000Ds @ 0.7 DCR each un-strapped running on only two Kinetik 2400s + starter battery... powering 2x Kicker Solo-X 18" subs in a daily-tuned listenable, beautifully done, fiberglass box. All in his Cadillac Escalade. Honestly don't remember his class designation... believe it was truck/suv 25 - 48. 150.9 dB today! He has 2 more SAZ-3000Ds and more batteries going in soon. okay i have some questions about the output, with a 1ohm load + box rise (lets say 1.5ohms) with the proper electrical would i see 3000+ watts without clipping?

i know they're rated at 100w rms, but crossed at say 80 to 100hz, what do you think they can take Jacob? i have about 250w per mid the way itll be wired. not sure if theyll handle that over time or not.

I may just be overlooking something, but i can't seem to find enclosure recommendations or sub displacement. And it says that it has 2 inches of xmax, so 48mm? I may be wrong, but I think there is 2.4 cm in 1 in. which means 24 mm=2.4 cm.

Hey Guys. Well, I traded my SAZ-3500D and got 2 SAZ-2000D's. Here is a pic. It is hard to believe all of that is in my spare tire well. Each amp is wired to each Sundown Nightshade 15 dual 2 ohm at 1 ohm each. Little SPL Box. Hoping to do a 151+ at NSPL World Finals tomorrow.

How do I go about joining? Or do you have to be invited or something like that? Anybody want to fill me in I must have missed it somewhere haha. Thanks!

Is this (2 saz-4500) too much power to put on 4 15" Fi BLs?

Got my new toy in today....pictures dont do this thing any justice..at all... Insanley massive......Makes me want to order another one.. I got gain and bass boost at 1/4 and its slamming already....I can not wait to turn it up and see what it really does..but at 14/35 on the volume...the lows are crazy..... Gonna break it in for a few weeks at low volumes though.... Powered by 1 of my SAZ 3K's and 3 DEKA's..... Thanks for a bad ass sub Jacob.....was packaged great to...arrived here in top notch shape. hi everyone need some advice on a custom built box for a single 12 inch sa-12 2 ohm sub. I'll be building the box with 3/4 mdf wood and the space i have to work with is 41 inches from left to right and 17 inches in depth. the car the sub Will be going in is a 2001 kia sportage ex small size suv and the amp i will be useing is a pyle plad3300d which puts out 1200 to 1300 watts at one ohm. now i never built me a custom vented box before but i have built a few sealed boxes in the past so my skill level for building a vented box is low. the music i listen to is rap and hip hop and my goal is to more daily driving and a little competition so i want the most spl i can get but w…

I'm running 6 Sa 8 v2s on 2 1500s in a 6th order in my Tahoe. They sound ok on the low end(28-38hz), but they sound like they have so much more to give. I'm debating switching up enclosures, but I wanted to get the opinions of people who have run them. Is it worth it to give the subs more time to break in before I switch boxes? I'm also considering adding another 1500. I've only had the subs for a couple of weeks. I only have a chance to get on them driving to work and around town.

about to build a box for a 99 s10 ext cab, single 15 nightshade. what size box should i build. i have designed a box right now that is... net air space 4.72ft3. port area 65.25 in2. @31.85 hz will this be ok?

Welcome to Sundown Went live yesterday. The biggest upgrade is behind the scenes... the new software actually allows us to do more modifications so we don't need to bug our web guy (aka: taking forever for us to get around to it). I have already started filling in lots of missing information, pictures, and typing descriptions. Comments / big reports are welcome at this time. I have the saz-1200 on a fi sp4-15 dual 2 for right now. Was wanting to know if strapping 2 saz-1200's to the sub wired @ 1 ohm would work out well??
