Okay here is my somewhat problem. I have a 3000D with a Bass knob and I am trying to figure out how to get this Gain Knob set right. Now I have my gain set, and everything right on my deck, my thing is when I plug in the Knob do I set it to minimum or Max, or do I set the Gain and deck with the Knob already plugged into the amp? I am trying to get it where I can just turn the knob to turn up the gain instead of the deck, which is a pain in the ass. Because as of right now when I turn up the Knob it reaches it full potential at about half instead of max, so I really cant get it to where I want it with that small of a range. So am I doing this sh*t right or what. Thanks En…

The current model Nightshade is officially discontinued. We used the last brand new motor in stock today. This is how the Sundown Audio line will look soon : Z series v.2 = 1500-watt RMS model * ETA is 6-8 weeks Nightshade v.2 = 2000-watt RMS model * ETA is mid 2010 (maybe sooner) Both of these new drivers will feature several new technological advancements compared to the Nightshade v.1 to improve power handling and output per watt (efficiency). We will also be offering a spider option with double up tinsel leads for folks that like to run amps at 1/2 ohm daily. I won't release a whole bunch of details just yet. I will let the testing speak for itself when they are avail…

Creating a new and separate thread to clear the clutter. We still have a fair amount available ! ---------- Paypal me at [email protected] to order or talk to your favorite dealer. ---------- SAX-50.4 -- $200 shipped in continental 48 states I will still include a 2-year warranty on these. Most customers shopping for an amp at this power level are more concerned about $ to watt and less about crossover flexibility. So we are closing out the 50.4 and will be developing a less expensive model to replace it without as much crossover flexibility to offer more watts per dollar. Make no mistake... the 50.4 is deceptively powerful as it produces over 60 watts per channel…

I finally got this box built and a chance to test this speaker out. It is replacing 2 15" polkmomo drivers on a crunch amp. The box is roughly the same size as the other but this one lets the seat lock into the up position. It is about 3.25 ft3 at 35hz. There is no bracing or 45's in the corners. Its facing up right now as I find a place for the amp(s). But it sounds better forward. I know its a little ghetto but Ive just recently started building my own stuff. As you can see it is hooked up to the SAX125.2. It is bridged at 4 ohm so its only about 450 watts. Gain up halfway and it still rocks. This driver sounds very nice. This driver is of high quality and great sound.…

So my next install will consist of 2-saz2000 and 2-15inch NS d2 and i was wondering how much AH i should have on my batteries to support my 2 saz2000 straped at 2ohm? i know i read somewhere that if it is at 1ohm just take the fuse size and divide it by 2 and there you go! so for 1 saz2000 at 1ohm i would need a mini of 100ah battery to support it! now i am wondering, i got a good deal on some nsb 90 (90ah) and i can't pass up the deal but they are only 90ah each and i want to get 2 of them. now will this 90ah (180ah total) be enough to support 4krms at 2ohm? thanks for your time Kenneth

I've seen this asked before and I thought I knew ""Best Practices" but then in reading, I discovered there are some things about the PRE inputs on teh Sundowns where they don't like certian ""Higher End" RCA cables... Who woulda thunk it???? So, if that was unknown to me, what else is, you know... So my question/scenario is I have: Headunit - Front Stereo Preouts to SAX125.2 Pre-Ins Headunit - Rear Stereo Preouts to SAX 125.2 Pre-Ins No question there, next is the question part. I will be running (4) SAZ-2000D, if I can ever afford the rest of them.... Trying for by Christmas... Should I run from Head Unit Sub Pre Outs w multiple RCA Y Adapters to SAZ-2000D Pre-Ins He…

I got the shipping conformaton on my saz100d so it will go in next week. I just wanted to drop a line and to say this thing rocks. Anyone wanting to step up their system but dont want to go real big this thing is perfect. It was way louder than I expected. Good job Jacob.

Hey guys! Well, I finally built a box on my own. it is not pretty, but then pretty doesn't always add db's. It is 4.13 cubes before displacement and 3. something after displacement. I still have a lot to do inside the box, but it did quite well without any improvements done to it yet. In initial testing, I was able to do 149.19db and at the show I did 149.2. I could probably do better with fully charged batteries. Not too bad for a small box. I have some pics. Tell me what you think.

I just got around to starting the install of my 50.4 I am still waiting on some parts to complete it. When I took it out of the box it has been sitting in I noticed a burnt wire smell. It seems stronger on the side where the crossovers are. Is this just because it is new and closed up in the box and fresh soder? It shows it was tested before packaged and I know Jacob said he tests them all. It is new never installed bought at SSA so I'm not worried about warrenty issues. I am just wondering if I am a little paranoid. I won't have everything for it unitl the end of the week so that will be the earliest I will know anything. Just so this dont get misunderstood I do NOT t…

Hey all I currently have an SUV and the rear fill speakers which are Morel Tempo 6's have messed up x-overs. I've tried to call morel and it wasnt a help, I called local dealers and they werent a help either, it turns out I would have to buy a new set and I cant do that right now. So I was wondering if somebody can help me figure something out, should I just hook the mids and tweets up to the SAX directly and adjust things from the amp? you know x-over settings? I wouldnt really know what to set them at. My Headunit is a Kenwood DDX712 if that will help. Thanks
