Hey guys I recently found out about sundown audio and everything I read so far is most impressive I was wondering if any of you do active competitions with the Sundown amps. I am in he market for new amps and I need serious power because my 2 15"s will handle 6000+ watts easy for burps a piece and finding amps is not as easy as one would think. I am trying to get a better picture of the capabilities of these amps. please inform me Thanks Phil

First of all, please forgive my posting in this section, but I want to hear from Sundown guys why the product is better then the other two I am thinking of, instead of "it just is". A little on my background, I was pretty into car audio back around 1996-2001, but have been out of it since then. A LOT of things have changed since. I ran a Xtant X1001 and X604 in my last car for reference. In any case, I am looking to put together a pretty simple system now for personal use, no shows or competitions. The amps I am really considering are: Sundown SAZ1500D (used by Sundown guys, but with warranty) Hifonics Brutus BXI2608D Lanzar OptiDrive 2000D I will be running in a '0…

Went out to another TBP event out in Longview today with the car in 85 degree weather.. 1st run was 151.3 2nd run was 151.2 3rd run was 151.3 all with the mic in the passenger kick. I also tryed port wars, and I've never done it before, but I managed a 165.9 in port wars. Apparently thats pretty high for 1 sub to...go figure ... These amps are astonishing everyone. They are performing flawlessly and everyone wants to know where to get them..I need some brochures Jake...and I need to step up to a pair of 3000D's....hook me up.. I acquired a 18" RE SX today, and I'm planning on building a wall with this woofer, with the trunk as my Infinite Baffle and tearing some stuf…

I am trying to figure out how the night shades compare to the digital design subs for a spl vehicle. I am wanting to know how loud the night shades are to the dd subs. with the same rms levels. I guess i would like a comparison btw the 9500 series and the 3500 series against the night shades. Any one with some experience here?

I am sold,, i just got my nightshade 12 with the cracked rim from this guy for a 100 after I checked the coils both read 1.3 so i snatched it. First of seing as how this is my first sundown product I must say I am VERRY Impressed. Going from maistream product to Sundown I must admit I was a little skeptical at first. But all I can say is All Hail Jacob this sub POUNDS. As a matter of fact after hearing this sub I just bought a Sundown 3500 and cant wait to hear them togather. Even though here in north Louisiana Sundown isnt really heard of that much but I promise I will personally be making sure it is. Cant wait to the v2s come out so that I can get another one. Keep up t…

I had decided to go with another set of 18s and swap amps too. But, I really would like to get alot of my room back. So, I will sale my bl 18's and keep both sundown saz 1500d's. I would like to change to either 2 12" nightshades or 1 12 or 15" with both amps strapped on 1. I have 20 cube box now, so anything smaller I will get alot of room back. Any suggestions on those above or possibly Z15?

So I picked up a 12" nightshade a few weeks ago and today I just happened to be switching the box I had it in so I figured I would put my dmm on the coils just to see what it read. The first one came out right at 1.0, but then the second one reads 1.5. Is that normal? I let it sit for a while too, they would both go up and down by .1, but would eventually rest on the resulting numbers. Is that an issue, or is it fine?

* There she is. This proto is totally chrome... production models will have the chromed basket but will have a black anodized top plate and back plate to match the black / silver / black color scheme of the SAX and SAZ amplifiers. * Big fat tinsels with "tie down" routing to prevent slap. * Nightshade vs. a TC9 based sample I am also working with on an unrelated project. The TC9 weighs around 35 pounds for reference. I hooked it up for the first time last night and knocked the rear view mirror off in my Civic using an SAE-1000D for power and a roughtly 4.4 ft^3 box tuned to 35 Hz (6 x 6" port).
