  1. by looking at your products alone you know your shit about subs. i have a pair of 10's i had built for me a couple years back 60lbs each so there is some serious magnets on them. the bl/re in series is only a 92 im guessing this is due to the coil. if i had it rebuilt to something with twice the motor strength what could i see in output diffrence? current coils are round copper 8layer not sure on what the rest of the specs are. i know they could use a spider spacer for more travel they will hit the top plate before the coil can bottom. is it possible the charge is weak on the magnets?

  2. I am just wondering, coming from an Sq person to spl, I still tend to choose amps for clean power and heaps of headroom, size is never really an issue (as in footprint) as I will make it fit. I rarely even look at features as well. (mostly because I am running active, all I really need is a gain.

Due to all the negative comments that were way out of line imo on the announcement of the new SAZ-2500D. I think Jake you should post a sticky stating that all Sundown Products and specifications are subject to change due to continuing upgrades, modifications and improvements! This would help clarify to all that Sundown continues to develop and improve new models and older models will be phased out.

  7. Hello Guys..I want to be convinced that I need to Purchase one or your Saz-1500d amps...I currently am running the Us amps Xt4000d and my Fi BL 15" Seems like It still needs more Power...It is fully loaded in a 4cuft@30Hz enclosure. My current amp just doesn't put out what I think the Fi speaker can handle...I really like your Amplifiers and would like to be one of the team...Could one of you who acutally own or make the amp give me some input about how it performs at 1 ohm....I really want one so my Us Amps amp went on sale today...Thanks guys..

The SAZ-3500D is the successor to our extremely popular SAZ-3000D model. It is not only more powerful but even more reliable than the SAZ-3000D based on years of research in the SPL lanes and in the hands of regular customers. You will not find a better 3500-watt Class-D amplifier anywhere! Sundown Audio only recommends this amplifier for experienced users with an upgraded alternator and additional batteries due to the enormous power output potential. Hello Jacob, I have 4 XS Power D3100 as secondary batts and a Yellow Top under the hood and a DC Power 320 amp alternator (strongest the company makes for me) and both of my SAZ-3500Ds are going into protect when I compete.…

  11. Ok, so I did an install for a friend in his 2009 Honda civic with a Sundown NS V.2 prototype and a sundown SAE-1200D and we have encountered sort of a serious problem. It seems as if there is some sort of a current draw coming from the amp when it is turned off because if he leaves his car off for more than 24 hours the battery is so drained that it can not start the car... The amp is definitely the problem because whenever I take the fuses out of the amp the car works perfect and there is no current draw. The amp also is completely off whenever the car is off (I checked) and is connected to the ACC fuse for the remote turn on since the car has a stock stereo system. I am…

I am thinking of dropping my two 8W7's for one IDQ12. If it's a 2ohm sub, can I use one of my 125.2 to power it? How would it hold up (and how much power) bridged at 2 ohm?

I am currently running a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-x40 for my comp set and I have had no issues with any whine or hum coming through my comps. However, yesterday after swapping out my SAE-1000 for the SAE-1200 I now have a whine in my comps when I plug the RCA's into it. With the volume at 0 the whine is still there. I think it is odd that I am getting a whine in my comps when plugging the RCA's into my sub amp. When I remove the RCA's from the SAE-1200 the whine goes away completely. Any insight into this would be more than appreciated. Thanks!!!! Head Unit: Kenwood DNX-5120 4-Channel RCA's: JL Audio XB-CLRAIC4-18 2-Channel/Sub RCA's: JL Audio XB-CLRAIC2-18 Power &a…

Does the saz1500 have a signal output, so you could run rcas from it to another amp? I'm thinking about getting a smaller amp for mids and highs and wanted to know if I would have to run another set of rcas from deck? Or if the saz could output it. Thanks

  24. Specs are per 8 subs 1/2 of the box, I used bb6 to calculate a box prism w/ a truncated edge, and basically doubled it and put both sides on top one another. Fb is actually the f3 on the picture, and the calculated fb for three 34" long 2"x10.58" ports @ 2.392 cubes is 45.26, but I did not take into account the flared aspect of the alligator mouth style of this box, but added it's length to the port length...so it kinda is a mystery.
