Sundown Audio

i have a sa-8 d2 and i was wondering what box would be better. Today we had a gathering in hawaii with some other audiophiles.. some veterans and some new... I asked one of my fellow Sundown users to come down and demo the amp (a sundwon-3000D on a fully loaded 18" BTL)... No chit man his system was the biggest draw... everyone was gathered around his truck and wanted to just stick their head by the window.... Ride Truck x-treme (I think didn't really notice) 18" fully loaded BTL Sundown saz-3000D Iraggi 260 amp alt Kinetik batteries... The 18 BTL was a freaking monster and the sundown 3000D is a freaking BEAST........ With the windows fully down on both sides, we were doing hair tricks with GUYS LOL.... You couldn't sit in it witho…

Does sundown have a webpage? I googled it buut found nothing.

this is a neon partly built by Luist(nickname on this forum)...sounds loud but needs more volt(hes playing on the 11 volts and the 100.4 overheats) here are the pics... and here a lil vid

Due to all the negative comments that were way out of line imo on the announcement of the new SAZ-2500D. I think Jake you should post a sticky stating that all Sundown Products and specifications are subject to change due to continuing upgrades, modifications and improvements! This would help clarify to all that Sundown continues to develop and improve new models and older models will be phased out.

I'm going to go ahead and have my SAE 1200 run a DC lvl 4 12'' sub. I haven't decided on a front stage yet, I'm looking to run an active 3-way midbass//mid range//tweeters I think I'm going to go with the SAX 100.4d BUT I need another amp! Should I use the SAX 100.4 for the mid range and tweets? or the tweets and midbass? or the midbass and midrange ????? And what other amp should I use? SAX 50.4 bridged? or ... ? suggestions and explanations why please

What "bass knob" does the SAZ use? I REALLY like the one that came with my SAX-100.4 amp and would like to have the same kind for my SAZ. Anyone know?

My friend got a sa-8v2 in a ported box and I was amazed how it sounded. So I decided togo the SA-12 route rather then my DC L4 18. Just got em in today. Can't wait to get started on the box Sunday.

Does the saz1500 have a signal output, so you could run rcas from it to another amp? I'm thinking about getting a smaller amp for mids and highs and wanted to know if I would have to run another set of rcas from deck? Or if the saz could output it. Thanks

hi im new to this forum and i just purchased 2 saz 3000's and at the last competition saturday my amps clipped out thinking it was the hot weather i stopped playing and let em cool then i saw a thread on this forum where sum ppl had the same problem where the slave wud switch into protect and it was due to the rcas runnning from the br out to the br in and once they switched the rca the problem was no more....now my question is what were the rcas that u had used in order to stop this problem???

I just wanted to post a thread saying thank you to Jacob over at Sundown for some excellent customer service. It could not have gone any better. Story: A few weeks ago I started to have problems with my SAE-1200Dv1. It was mysteriously jumping in and out of protect. I tried to troubleshoot myself but could not get it working, so I sent Jacob an e-mail for some assistance. He asked me to verify my voltages with a DMM and everything checked out alright. However, the amp was still going into protect. After about a week of troubleshooting, trying to avoid an RMA, he decided it was best to just send the amp in. All I had to do was give him the invoice from where it was origina…

Is the amp available in the store? It's perfect for my application but it has no image and the description saying that it's essentially in a prototype stage.

Is it possible to switch the casing around o the amp, so the RCAs are on the left side? Also Jacob I need two speakers screws for a 100.4 please

What a great guy Jacob is. I am/was in a pinch with my amp and he has been such a help. He is by far the best salesman/business owner I have ever dealt with. If you are considering buying anything from Jacob DO IT!!!!!!! You will thank yourself later. Thanks again Jacob for all the help. Jeremy
