well i'm throwing my first show this month and would like some feedback from you guy's. 1-2 woofer's 3-4 woofer's armagedan (anything goes just dont break my sensor) first place winner's will win a 4 gauge install kit with rca's and anybody that enter's has a chance to win a custom box,2 10" subs,6.5" comp's or a small 2 channel amp. I thought this would be a little different then seeing all the same people win all the time.tell me what you think! oh and jacob I'm in need of a banner/sticker's for my show's or anything you might want to throw down thanx for the feedback peps

  3. Don't mind the title but it made you look.. Well I must say my sundown is GREAT, my pioneer SPL 12" D2's sound great but was lacking in bass race today. So am pulling them back out ( I just got them in yesterday ) and want to run 2 15" so I can get the numbers I am looking for 145+ run in 139.9 class, but my problem is do you think 2 FI BL's D2 on a sundown 3000 at .5 ohms before rise would be ok or is that going to be to much for the BL's for a 30 sec bass race run? If the 3000D is to much for the FI's I have would one sundown nightshade D2 with upgrades be better. I am sure the 2 15" BL's would be louder right due to cone area. Reason I am thinking the BL's is because…

ok so i'm about ready to buy my amps. i will have 4 15" fully loaded 1 ohm btl's in about 16 cubes tuned to 32hz. but before i buy the amps...can a 3000d handle a pair of fully loaded btl's @ 1ohm? only time it will get turned up loud will be for competition burps. maybe to turn up for demos for friends . other than that it'll be regular volume, so nothing strenuous. i have a 200 amp H/O alt atm, couple extra batteries (will upgrade to some kinetiks in the future), and i'm getting a solid 14.3/14.4 volts. i may try to add another alt if money allows. also...would bass race be out of the question with this setup? to prevent burning up the amps? i'm kinda going out on a l…

I have been running my 1500d for about a month now. It was working perfectly until about 3 days ago. I hadnt been in the truck or anything for 2 days, and then i go and get in it and as im driving the subs are making a popping noise. I have been trying to figure out what the problem is, and i dont think it is any of my wiring. I have figured out that the popping only happens when the amp is shook or tapped on or of course the truck bounces or something while im driving. The amp works fine except for when this happens, which is frequently. Im thinking it might possibly be something loose in the amp or something. Let me know if you have a possible solution.

What's the highest voltage I can give a SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4? I'm giving them between 13.8 and 14.2 volts in park before voltage drop and the lowest I've seen it drop is 13.2 volts while playing at max. I'm considering a voltage regular for my EA 250A alternator. I may be adding another 1000D btw.

which way should i go. i have 16 mids for the MINI. all 8 ohm. 8 per door. they will be wired in pairs of 4, in parallel, making each set of 4 mids a 2 ohm load. so its either 2 100.2s, with 8 mids per amp (basically 1 amp per door) running each channel at 2 ohms or 1 100.4, running 4 mids per channel, at 2 ohms. the 100.2 is rated 200 x 2 @ 2 ohms the 100.4 is rated 160 x 2 @ 2 ohms i know the 100.2 is supposedly a little more underrated than the 100.4 is, but i found a good deal (IMO) on 2 100.2s, bnib for 370 shipped. what do you guys think?

I just want to say thank you to Jacob at Sundown with all the help he has given me. I purchased an SAE-1200v1 from a person on another forum, and as soon as I hooked the amp up it went into protection. I checked my wiring, and even hooked up another amp, which worked fine, but the Sundown just kept going into protection. This was on a Sunday, and Monday morning I sent Jacob an email asking if there was a remedy to my problem. Of course, I had no documentation for the amp in question, so Jacob offered to send me either a new 1200v2 or a 1500, both for a very nominal upgrade fee. I jumped on the chance to get the 1500. (It is probably way more power than my single 10 …

Greetings Folks, I'm in the process of upgrading my setup to 2 RE Audio SX15's and I'm on the verge of crossing over into Sundown's territory by powering them with a SAZ-3000D. The amp will see a 2ohm load. I have no intentions of competing but I want to shake things up whenever I get the urge (usually when cops aren't present). Would this be an ideal amp for these subs as a daily driver? The subs are going in a 8 cube CRX box tuned to 34hz. The vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Thanks to all for your views/replies!!

  23. Finally did some real testing on the KIA last night. I actually did a 149.2 sealed, but forgot to take a pic of it. This was done at 45 Hz and a little over 2600 watts clamped total for both amps. Amps are wired @ 1 ohm each rising to 3 ohms. All settings on deck were flat, and loud button off. Cone rise is killing my power and score. Need dual 2 ohm subs bad. Crazy thing is truck and box are same frequency. Also did a hard core run and the score was a 150.8. Here is a pic of the Term Lab Score.

Newest production run arrived a few weeks ago -- we changed the output FETs to the same parts the newest 3500Ds are using (more powerful) and made a few other small tweaks. 0.5 ohm performance is now just as good as the v.1 1500D while maintaining the slightly better 1 ohm performance that we had already achieved on the v.2 model. I don't have any 1500D v.1s around the shop right now so I'm using previously tested data : 1500D v.1 POWER : 1970 Watts AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : 49.25 V AMP CURRENT (calculated) : 40 A ACTUAL IMPEDANCE (calculated) : 1.23 ohms SUPPLY VOLTAGE : 12.85 V 1500D v.2 POWER : 2030 Watts AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : 47.4v V AMP CURRENT (calculated) : 42.…
