Sundown Audio

Can somebody help me with a box spec for my 2 SA-15. This is going into a Isuzu Rodeo. The widest the box can be is 41 inches. I want it for a daily driver and for competitions. I would appreciate the help.

I would like to know exactly what it takes on voltage wise and battery wise to run my 3000ds at .5ohm daily to my 2 15" BTL's. Or what would be the best way for me to go to get excellent power from them 3000's. Any input would be great, strapping or wiring to .5ohm since when you factor in imp rise and all that. Anyone have the sundown logo in vector format, such as .eps or .ai? Would really like to cut my own decals in the color I use for my car and I could retrace it but that would take a bit of time

Okay I am buying my Christmas present a little early. I have a 1997 Toyota Camry. I use a Pioneer DVD H/U and I have 1/0 ga. KnuKonceptz wiring and I am looking at running the Sundown Audio SAZ-3000D on (2) 12" Fi Audio BL's with the cooling option. This will be a daily driver and I want to hunt down a JL Audio guy, will this do the trick? I listen to just about anything but I still have my DJ Magic Mike and Techmaster PEB CD's. I do have an additional battery in the trunk and upgrading the alternator won't be a problem. Please help!

hi, i have a opportinty to get 2 12w7 ( svc 3 ohm) for cheap ( 500 for both) and i am looking at an amp for them before i get it and i would like to stick with 1 amp for price and i am wondering what does the saz1500d do at 1.5 ohms and also i have a 200 amp alternator. hc1400 under the hood and a hc2400 in the trunk and it is all connected by 1/0 guage wire and the other amps i am going to have 2 eclipse xa4000 amps to give you an idea of the power for the amp. i might add another hc2400 if i can get a good deal on it,

I have 2 SA-12's in this box and am curious if I could use it for the Z-12's? It's 3.5 cubes tuned to 30Hz.

My father is considering this driver. I want to know if you guys think it fits the bill for him.His system consists of the following. I'm redesigning the system in my truck. I'm going to be running 12 Re Audio RE 8's. Dual 4 coils, so I can get a .5 ohm load (i think). They are 175 rms, so if I use a 1500D I should be able to give them 125 each. I've been hearing a lot of good things about sundown. I'm just curious if the 1500 will be a good choice. I'm aware that they aren't warrantying .5 loads now. But I have a 200amp alt. 3 Mercedes 1200amp batteries and a dual 1/0gauge wire run. I used to run two Orion 2500'd and the voltage would only drop down to 12.4 ish. I guess I'm being cheap, but I'd like to find a place where I can get one for less than 599$. Went to a USACi comp in Marrerro, LA last night. Took 1st place with a 147.9db @38Hz Legal all sealed up on the dash. No camera with me so i'll post pics of the plaque when I get back home later tonight. I feel as if I could've gotten really close to the 150 mark but the amps kept going into protection. I got two SAZ-3000d strapped together on (4) Phoenix Gold Ti12d Elite subs. When I put a meter on my terminals I get a DC Resistance of 1.7 ~ 2.0 ohms which doesn't make any sence because the subs are dual 4ohms. Not sure why I sometimes get a resistance less than 2ohms. ive got 4 12's that handle 1500 watts max a piece and a box being build to spec.i was wondering if a 1500d would b enough for as3 next year at competition.i am planning on getting a second one the year after and strapping them.im using 0 guage wire and a 100 amp fuse.ive got a factory alt. w a decka intimadator batt. under the hood.will that be enough power and can i run them at.50 oms.?im doing the 4 12's cause i just wanna upgrade amps and batts. the following year.please give me some feed back.i would greatly appreciate it..

My buddy was driving and had his system on... And it turned off. So he came to my house. All the fuses were fried. And when i opened it up, theres a black wire that is now disconnected... How? Idk. What would cause this? Can i just sauder a new wire on and be good to go? the amp is a SAE-1200 and its running 2 Fi Q 12" D1's Thanks. Pics...

ok here it is i have a goliath that im sick of! allways at the shop. i have 2 15 FI audio fully loaded bl's with the daily option the box is 6 cubic ft vented at 33hrz 0.70 ohms at the amp a 200 amp alt, 3 yellow tops and 0 gauge althe way around the way i see it is i can get a 1500 watt.. and it should push these subs well,,, and if not.. ill buy a second 1500, and strap them to get more power, or i can get a 3000 watt.. and be in the same boat as i am now, relying on the one amp, and then if it breaks i got nothing until the repair is done but will the 1500 indeed push these subs alone, just one?…

I have a guy trying to sell me a nightshade 12 that the rim where the surround meets is cracked. I am just wondering could that be fixed and if so, howe much would it be. He said that it was supposedly damaged in shipping.

10,320 watts from my pair @ 1.5 ohms each actual impedance after rise, starting at 0.5 DCR 5160 each 17.9 volts rest - did not measure voltage drop yet This is similar to what I got from the 3000s at a rise to ~1 ohm or below Will post more when I get more results.

Just swapped out my US Amps for some Sundown Audio amps. Sad to see the ol' faithful US Amps go, this was VERY hard to do. I must be a responsible sundown dealer and use the stuff that I sell. I did consider slapping a sundown sticker on the US Amp heatsinks. Old install I still have an Fi Q12 and the Sundown SAZ-1500D is my first ever class D amp. I metered at 140.5 db. Pretty damned good if you ask me for the bass eating BMW trunk. A 2.3db gain since I was metered using the sub brand new with a super stiff suspension. so my 2-SAZ2000's will be hidden under my sub box as soon in this pic here: . so as you can see i will have no access to my gains to fine adjust them! so then i thought well if i max them out AND plug in the remote gain knob and follow my ears for clipping and bottoming out and such, all the while using the gain knob now will this work? did i over or under think this? did i miss something? like is it bad to turn up the gains all the way then use the remote to turn them down(control them) i assume what i want to do will work but i just wnat to double check b/c once everything is in lol i don't want to take it out just move the gains an 1/8 of an inch down or up if you k…

Ok i m trying to get the best box i can for my tens i have been going back and forth on size and tuning. I just read the new thread saying about 1 cube would be good if you plan on pushing the subs i will be putting about 825 watts throu these for 10s. I thinking 35htz tuning. Should i aim for the 4 cubes or 1 cube a piece? low ? higher ? wats the displacement on these subs ? thanks

Just got done unloading the trucks... the 15s and 18s are here in stock for the first time. We have additional 12D2 models for any over-flow overs as well. Any 10s either coil or 12D1 we'll still have to build until the next shipment. Also some X-18 in D2 and D4 were on the truck as well as re-stocking quantities of SA-10/12/15 and SD-2 10/12 woofers.

I am picking up 3 SA8 motors and would like get some baskets and recones for them. I'm wondering what my options are, since I've seen v1 and v1.5. I'll be running these off an saz-1500d in a town car with a 240 amp alt, deka starting battery, deka 9a31 in the trunk, big 3, 1/0 wiring throughout etc... I want to wire these to .66 and want to know how big of a box I should go with and how much port area I need. This will be a daily driver, and will be turned down most of the time. I was thinking 2 cu ft net tuned to 34 with 30-35 sq in of port area. I looked in another thread and the recones were listed as $32 and baskets were $10, let me know if those prices are still goo…
