Well first comp of the season yesterday, I was not really prepared, my resin on my box wasn't completely cured, I hadn't done any testing, my car looked like crap... but I went anyways. I hit low yesterday, but was having issues all day. Final run for head 2 head eliminations was a 139.1 in street A. Good enough for first place. Street B was won by TJ (goes by old/skool on termpro) with a 151. something. Street C was won by my friend Matt in his ford festiva with a 138.6. Bob the guy with the blue van and all the t3 woofers was there doing mid 60's all day, it was impressive. Bassrace, I came in third in the 139 class, I wanted to be in the 129 class but qualified with…

Fully tested down to 1/2 ohm each. Both were mounted and used and show a few signs of use on the mounting feet and near the speaker connections. Both come with remotes but no manuals, you can download the manual here: http://www.sundownaudio.com/products/SAX-1...manual_0607.pdf The white dot in the picture is from the flash and is not a mark on the amp. $475 shipped each or $900 shipped for both. They come with the full warranty from date of purchase.

Well I hope that every one has a great christmas!! :23) The new year will be upon us soon. Lets hear the new goals and new setup ideas for this season or even predictions for the up and comming season? I would bet there will be a new addition to the 150db trunck cars comming to the lanes soon? I am also hoping to maybe see 160db in a SSNW setup I know there are a few cars that are on the hunt for this score. Also there are many new setups that plan on bassracing the 149.9 class and a few new ones for the 159.9 class if they can get it done before SBN? so lets hear about the new builds comming out this season or tell us about what scores you hope to do or even what score …

My father is considering this driver. I want to know if you guys think it fits the bill for him.His system consists of the following. HU- Kenwood....Soon to be replaced by an Alpine 9887 Amps- Front stage- US acoustics Usa 2100 running a pair of Alpine SPX-17REF in well sealed and dampened doors. Sub amp - Us acoustics Usa-2150 The sub amp does 500 watts at 4 ohms. I'm sure it's a little underrated. How much not sure. My guess would be 550. He listens to almost every type of music except hard core rap.....He can't stand it. BTW....The vehichle is an 04 Explorer. Will the SA-12 be what he needs? Does he have enough power to get good sound from it? He is also stuck betwee…

I know this has probably been answered before, but the search bar is pretty much useless on this forum. So if I can keep my electrical system from dropping below 13.0-13.5 volts, how will the saz take the .5 ohm load?

Going to be installing a HD315 that's dual 1.5ohm VC's. Getting it for a good price, otherwise if buying new I'd just have gotten a dual 2 ohm. I have a 200a alt, SVR batt up front, Deka Intimidator in back, BIG 3 in 1/0, amp wiring is 1/0, gain set with DMM. Is there anything else I need or need to know as I've never run an amp below 1ohm. It's a daily driver and 99% of the time I listen at moderate levels, meaning you can talk in the car with the stereo playing, but once in a while I plan on leaning on it pretty hard when playing music, NO burps, just cranking some tunes to unwind after work. What's considered safe: 5 minutes, 20 minutes, doesn't matter??? I just do…

  11. So i figure what the hell might as well post this up, this was at Midwest SPL Finals (so its legit, best ive done is a 150.5 with these, just not at an event, and it was much colder of a day when i did that compared to this). this metering style is on the glass (like db drag) but with windows and doors able to be open during the run. and yes, i lost to an AQ HDC3, but thats not the point of this LOL system is in a 1997 chevy cavalier, box is around 5 cubes with a 6" aero, burps at 42 hz, enjoy the vid (best if watched in hd)

Here is the situation. Just bought a 2003 Jetta GLI VR6. It had the factory option for the Monsoon sound system, which included an amp in the trunk powering the components in all four doors. The previous owner put in an aftermarket Double Din Kenwood DDX418. It isn't the best deck but does what I need to right now. The mids and highs sound better than what I expected, but I am missing the lows. I am not looking to shake the neighborhood. I just want to hear a more full sound that can handle my varied taste in music. I listen to everything from Squirrel Nut Zippers, to the Gravediggers. What I think might work, would be pairing up a Sundown SAX 125.2 with a SA-8 with the …

I thought I saw some where that there was a carbon fibre cone and dust cap on the SA-8v2. Was this a one off that I saw? Or was it on something else? Also are there dust cap options for no insignia? Sorry if this is posted some where else but I could not find it. I do believe there is a CF dust cap option but I would prefer to have the whole cone and dust cap of possible. Or at least a blank dust cap that matches the cone. Again thanks to anyones help.

I bought a set of Sundown Audio Z-15's around december, sadly i never got them hooked up and now im movin out and i need the extra cash so i gotta sell em. Heres where my problem comes in. I need to ship these subs in order to sell them because the people intrested in them are out of state, one being in Oklahoma and they want around $250.00 to ship them. The price seems ridiculous to me. Does anybody know who will ship them from residence to residence for cheap? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i wonder if the SAZ-1000D would be a good amp for midbass at the moment i'm running a 100.4 for mids/highs and the 125.2 for the midbass now i wanna get 8 (4 in each door) SPL Dynamics HF6.1 for midbass, but i don't think the 125.2 will have enough power for 4 per channel so i thought about going with 2 SAZ-1000D anyone tried them for mids yet?

Hooked up the 1500D today after it has been sitting for about 2 months and now it keeps blowing all the car's fuses. Putting it in a late 90's Tahoe which originally had a 1,000watt amp hooked up that ran without any problems. Now after hooking the 1500D we've already been through 2 fuses so far and are unsure on how to fix it. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Went to a USACi comp in Marrerro, LA last night. Took 1st place with a 147.9db @38Hz Legal all sealed up on the dash. No camera with me so i'll post pics of the plaque when I get back home later tonight. I feel as if I could've gotten really close to the 150 mark but the amps kept going into protection. I got two SAZ-3000d strapped together on (4) Phoenix Gold Ti12d Elite subs. When I put a meter on my terminals I get a DC Resistance of 1.7 ~ 2.0 ohms which doesn't make any sence because the subs are dual 4ohms. Not sure why I sometimes get a resistance less than 2ohms. Each sub is series for an 8ohm load then all paralleled to one set of terminals which should be a …

Hi all, I have a JBL GTO 1201.1 ii amplifier, I used to own two RE Audio SEX 12" subwoofers but the cheap tinsel leads snapped; I had heard nothing but great things about sundown so I opted for the X-15! I wanted to know if anyone has used the JBL GTO 1201.1 before, and if you think it would sufficiently power the X15. I know the X15 asks for 1200w rms, the JBL only pushes ~1100w rms if I recall correctly. Is this a problem? Another question, I had the two RE's in an L-Port 4.0cu @ 32hz- given the power of my amplifier do you think the single X15 in the correct enclosure will be just as loud? Thanks in advance!
