I know a made a review thread before, but I didn't fee like bringing that back to the top. I recently just got my third amp was able to really give some power to these guys before I was only giving them ~30 watts. Amp in theory is putting about ~125 per speaker, rough guess is probably they are seeing ~110 at full tilt. Man does power bring these things to life. Crossover set at 85@24dB slope. The combination of the MS-8 really helps brings these speakers to life. They get LOUD and have no problem keeping up with my horns receiving almost the same amount of power (of course the MS8 helps with that too). They sound amazing as well, even at full tilt. Newest production run arrived a few weeks ago -- we changed the output FETs to the same parts the newest 3500Ds are using (more powerful) and made a few other small tweaks. 0.5 ohm performance is now just as good as the v.1 1500D while maintaining the slightly better 1 ohm performance that we had already achieved on the v.2 model. Hooked up the 1500D today after it has been sitting for about 2 months and now it keeps blowing all the car's fuses. Putting it in a late 90's Tahoe which originally had a 1,000watt amp hooked up that ran without any problems. Now after hooking the 1500D we've already been through 2 fuses so far and are unsure on how to fix it. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

the good................ well.. this past weekend was one of florida largest mini truck/car shows.. Slamfest.. they had a stereo comp... so i went to the show on sat to qualify in the two classes i entered.. i entered 30 sec average..kinda like bass race.. and outlaw spl.. the meter was a term lab but it was like 6 db high in its readings.. so i do a 162 in the average 30 sec..( would be a real 156 ) and a 163.2 in the outlaw thing.... had a good day .. demoed my van talked about my sundown amps ect.. the bad.... sunday on the way to the show i am driving like 55mph in a constuction zone with concrete barriers on eather side.. my front upper ball joint broke.. i almost …

Going to be installing a HD315 that's dual 1.5ohm VC's. Getting it for a good price, otherwise if buying new I'd just have gotten a dual 2 ohm. I have a 200a alt, SVR batt up front, Deka Intimidator in back, BIG 3 in 1/0, amp wiring is 1/0, gain set with DMM. Is there anything else I need or need to know as I've never run an amp below 1ohm. It's a daily driver and 99% of the time I listen at moderate levels, meaning you can talk in the car with the stereo playing, but once in a while I plan on leaning on it pretty hard when playing music, NO burps, just cranking some tunes to unwind after work. Hey ! I have 15" AA Havoc D2 in 3CF sealed. The sub is 1250 RMS. I wonder if the 1500D would be worth the extra money (450$ vs 600$, domned Israeli taxes) or maybe the difference won't be that big. someone told me that the difference would be 1.5 dB because the latter is half more power than the 1000D. What do you offer me to do ?

Well I am going too try my luck in Meca when the next season starts in their amateur street class. I am going to do AS1 or AS2 not sure yet, and I just joined up with Team Apocalypse. The equipment being used is one 15" AudioQue HD3 and a Sundown 1500D or 3000D depending on which class I am in. I am just playing around for now with fuses but here is a vid of my HD3 in a 32hz box and one 1500D. What ever class I am in is looking promising right now. Sundown FTMFW

I'd figure i would post it instead of calling or emailing you jake anyways here is the question lets say i got two 3000D's and 2 15" subs dual 2ohm What would is the difference (if any) between a. 2 3000D's strapped to the subs (take the subs wire them to 1ohms and put the amps strapped) b. 2 3000D's one on each sub @ 1ohm each (take the subs wire them to 1 ohm and put an amp on each) I get this question quite often I would think that the strapped pair would have the advantage of equal gain control.. but is there a power advantage over another as well as an efficiency advantage

My buddy was driving and had his system on... And it turned off. So he came to my house. All the fuses were fried. And when i opened it up, theres a black wire that is now disconnected... How? Idk. What would cause this? Can i just sauder a new wire on and be good to go? the amp is a SAE-1200 and its running 2 Fi Q 12" D1's Thanks. Pics...

Friends. I have ordered a FI Q12 (Dual 2 OHMS) single sub that will go into a ported sub-woofer enclosure just as soon as I can get in contact with pound that sound. First, I am trying to find out what's the difference between the following two amps, if there is any. a. Sundown Audio SAZ-1000D = RMS 600 x 1 watts @ 2 ohms b. Sundown Audio SAE-1200D = RMS 600 x 1 watts @ 2 ohms Secondly, will either of these two be sufficient enough to power that particular sub since both are 2ohms x 1 600 RMS--------------------(underrated) ? a.

Just got done unloading the trucks... the 15s and 18s are here in stock for the first time. We have additional 12D2 models for any over-flow overs as well. Any 10s either coil or 12D1 we'll still have to build until the next shipment. Also some X-18 in D2 and D4 were on the truck as well as re-stocking quantities of SA-10/12/15 and SD-2 10/12 woofers.

Hello, How many watts will my Sundown SAZ 1500D give me @ 1.34 ohms? I have a Duralast Gold battery up front, Batbap 800 in the back. 0 guage wiring in the entire car. I have 3 T3 TS series 10 in a sealed box single 4 ohm wired for 1.34 ohms. Thanks

You should do a couple of Highres Sundown Backgrounds for PCs.... A few with just the Sundown Audio logo, then maybe a few with one of each Sundown Amps or one with each amp and a one of each pair of drivers... I have a laptop and three PCs at work that I like to cycle the backgrounds on...
