Sundown Audio

I am building some for a foreign market and they turned out pretty well. Before I start offering them in mass I am making a different spider but these worked out very well. The new spider will sit down on the 7" landing to give more cone to spider clearance. I'll put up some specs before I ship them off.

I've tried emailing support like 5 days ago.... Haven't heard anything back. Called a few times, always a busy signal. All I need is a replacement dustcap for my sub.

Going to be installing a HD315 that's dual 1.5ohm VC's. Getting it for a good price, otherwise if buying new I'd just have gotten a dual 2 ohm. I have a 200a alt, SVR batt up front, Deka Intimidator in back, BIG 3 in 1/0, amp wiring is 1/0, gain set with DMM. Is there anything else I need or need to know as I've never run an amp below 1ohm. It's a daily driver and 99% of the time I listen at moderate levels, meaning you can talk in the car with the stereo playing, but once in a while I plan on leaning on it pretty hard when playing music, NO burps, just cranking some tunes to unwind after work. Hi All, Complete noob to the Sundown name, but I recently purchased a SAE-1200D to power a SSA Icon 12 as a daily driver. My question is on the remote that came with the amp there is an 'off' labeled to the left of the min setting. Does this turn the amp off if the knob is put there? I was going to install a switch in the remote turn on lead so that I can have the radio on with out the sub at certain times. (Like listening to a hockey game on the radio) But if the remote will serve my purpose then there is no need for the added switch. Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Can someone tell me how efficient is it ? did someone compare it to other LOUD SOUND QUALLITY sub like the FI-Q or AA-Havoc ? Thanks

well i hooked up the 1500d in place of my sub channel on my belle and i with i had a meter.not much difference in sound. i have it @.7ohm (dual 1.5 ohm) and i just can't hear any difference in the 2 amp's.but as soon as i get my meter I'm going to test the differnce. yes i have 2 battery's to run off of one optima and 1 stinger in the hatch. anyways later

I got 8 dual 10" subs in a ported box I TOTALLY forgot about. So while the glue dries on the newsetup, I'mma hook the 8 10's up to the pair of 1500 watt Sundowns. Anyone care to guess the db's?? Box is the size of the cargo area up to the side glass in a 99 Explorer. About 4 inches shy of the tailgate. Tuned to 42 hz if I remember right. I'm thinking I can pull a 143 atleast. J

i remember jacob telling me about it a while back, and i lost the PM. what kind of power is it going to put out at 2/4 ohms, and bridged?

Sundown did a hell of a job @ MidwestSPL finals this past weekend. Klade Turner and Daniel Arbuckle (ME) were both in the same class and took 1st and 2nd place in the Basic 4 class. Team Sundown FTW! I took second in a "pretty box" with two 15" Nightshades, Klade took 1st place. WTG Klade! Had never met Klade before this weekend and was glad to meet him, great competitor there. GJ! Is it possible to get a custom recone for a pair of RE HC's that I have?

Just whipped up a quick ported box for a 03 Ford Lightning truck for a local here, box came out good and cannot wait to hear it in his truck. Box is pretty simple 1cuft tuned to 35hz with a single aero port. Will be installing this and building his small amp rack this coming weekend, and I have nothing but great expectations on performance from this sub. This is the second local here that I have recommended the SD series too who purchased them. The first I believe picked up a pair of the SD12s.

Sundown's website is not working for me and by searching I have found confliciting measurements.... So anyone know 100% what the cutout diameter is for an SA-12? Thanks.

I have (2)Dual .7ohm DD 9512e's and I need some power.. I need to get 1500rms or close too.. Which Sundown (2)1500 or (1)3000 amp and how should i wire the subs to amps?

We plugged up one port hole in a box I had laying around the shop and dropped an NS 15 in there to see what would happen. Good times I think we've had too much fun this weekend. Also did a video of a 149.5 run -- my clamp did not register in the video for some reason... but when we did the 149.7 run I clamped 2500 actual watts. VIDEO :

Would running the SAX amps at 2 Ohms potentially hurt the amps in the long run like other amps? Im looking to run a sundown to a set of Infinity 680.7cs speakers. Anyone every use these amps as well?

Hey all, just got my 100.4 from the UPS guy....opended it up, and then realized that it had a remote knob included....I never had a mids/highs amp with a remote knob included...so uh...what is the knob for??? very lame and dumb question, I know Freddy head unit mids/highs & 100.4 all get installed on friday morning at T-Rex audio here in CT..ill post pics and video when I get home most definately

Think the subs would be able to handle that kinda power birth sheet is 3303rms at 1 ohm and thats what i would wire them to box would around .75 cubes per sub tuned to 36 htz maybe a lil lower looking to be louder than the btl 15
