I got a pair of these and have a question about a box. I really want a ported box, but don't have the room. They are going in a 350Z and i still need trunk space. what do you think about a sealed box? What size would be ideal? Below is a link where i have some pics. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/enclosure-design-construction-help/574003-help-ported-box.html

i was wondering...i have 2 sets of components...and was planning on giving them 150watts each..600watts in all for all 4. I figured i could bridge each channel and run 2 comps off of the bridged channel. but the amp is rated for 320w at 4 ohms not 2 ohms which is what they would be running...i dont guess this would work would it??

Ive been planning and install for over 2 years swapping out different components and subs and wiring and batteries and even cars. But I finally landed a good job and was making money I decided it was time to treat my self. Back when Jacob started SA, I was excited to get the new amps and was even going to test .5 ohm, yeah that long ago, is when i really started to plan this system, well a couple weeks ago I finally got it installed by Aaron over at Innovative rides. It was a quick weekend install and I just wanted the major work done. I still have to fix the dash and finish the rear deck, but I wanted to post how happy I was that it was done and how much I have enjoyed t…

Monday I ordered 2 of the SAZ 1500d amps called Massive and told em i hope they did'ent plan on selling a lot of amps in Dallas or Ft Worth Tx after Fu@king me around like that a Happy Customer tells 12 people an Un-Happy customer tells EVERYONE anyway after Much discussion with Djman, and James they agree with Jacob that the 2x 1500d's would be better in the long run over the 3000d for wireing options, as sometimes i use 2x 15" and the next time i will have 4x 15" subs !!! I am so freekin Stoked

I just placed an order at DbR for a refurbished SAE-1200D. They are stated as not including the remote. Does anyone know where I can get one for it? Are they a standard phone jack type remote that I could snag one from Ebay or somewhere else ?

so i have decided on getting the sundown 2500 to run a pair of fi q15's and i had some questions about the electrical needed to support this. i was looking at getting a delco alternator that puts out 220 amps max and 110 amps idle, stock is a 110 max, a kinetik 2400 in the back and 0 ga wire for power, ground and big 3. you guys think this will be sufficient? also would a 250 amp fuse be ok, or should i go with a 300 amp fuse?

i met up with nightshade the other day just to talk and hear the shades. And let me tell you its brutal!! i have been to a couple of shows and havent heard anything like this. vision blurry, hard to breathe, felt like somebody was just punchin me n the head and kickin me n the chest and that was only halfway on the bass knob. at full blast, i felt myself drifting in and out of consiousness LOL . zach is one of the coolest dudes youll ever meet, and he knows his chit. Just wanted to show him so love. Shout out to team sundown!! the videos doesnt do zach's setup any justice. his car flexes like crazy!! oh, and excuse the terrible cameraman **cough**

I have it powering 2 speakers in 2 channel mode bridged. One speaker is on channel 1 (Positive) channel 2 (negative) One speaker is on channel 3 (Positive) channel 4 (negative) RCAs: One line to channel 1+3 (using Y-splitter) One line to channel 2+4 (using Y-splitter) It seems to be working fine, but I am unsure about RCA connection, Did I connect it right? From what I've read, if in bridged mode, then all RCAs need to be filled via Y-Splitters. If I have it hooked up as 1+2 and 3+4, then only 3+4 will play (this is coming from the MIDS input of the HU as I am using the 4 channel to power my mids in bridged mode)

Four in my Explorer powered by a single saz-3500 @ 0.5ohm. They love it. These subs are truly little beasts. You need to hear them in person to understand just how good they sound and how loud they can get. And they're a good price too. Playing DJ Billy E Playing Gorilla Zoe - Juice Box screwed More vids coming later. Gotta get home to upload them off my actual video camera.

Running a strapped pair of Sundown 1500d's at 2ohm daily, and .5 for comps. Kinetik 1400 up front, two 1800's in the back. Or, to the point, will an excessive amperage 200a be ok?

I got 2nd place in the Modified 1001 - 2000W class last night with a score of 147.0db @ 48Hz in the kick panel of my '02 GMC Envoy. This score to me seems really odd though. A month ago with my stock 150Amp Alt I did a 147.9db @ 38Hz sealed on the dash but this time sealed in the kick I was only able to achieve 147.0db @ 48Hz with a 300Amp alt. Can anyone comment as to why you think that is so? Also looks like I have an issue somewhere with my wiring. I can play music all day long at full tilt with no problems, but once I put on the USACI Shootout CD and play a test tone the slave amp goes into protect once I hit 12V. Forget to mention before above. System consists o…

Well I have most of my system in right now. Had to send my planar mid ranges back to good ol Parts Express so slapped together two little boxes with some quart 3 1/2's to play the mids in my system. Also blew my Fosgate 500a2 and swapped in an Orion 900.2 my boy was going to use (I bought him a refurbed SAE1000d from Db-r) So its been some ups and downs. I am running a Sundown SAZ1500D on a TC Sounds TC3000 15 DVC in a 3 1/2 cubic foot box @ 40 hertz. Here is the amp rack as I got it fitted in my car. Just for the record, am running a full active system with 8's in the door, my missing planar midranges and planar tweeters. Hope to do Sundown justice.

I am a new Sundown Dealer and I have been seeing great results w/ these woofers. BUT...the lack of mounting information is really hurting my leeway to fully expand my designs in limited space builds. I see that mount depth is listed most subs, but motor diameter would REALLY help also. probably an unreasonable request (just wishing) but a google sketch-up model of the subs would make my world exponentially better I just finished an install today w/ 2 SD-2 10's in a '97 ext cab chevy (sealed ~.6cuft each, customer loved it, great low-end response) and I "called" the SD-motor diameter ~7". After crunching some #'s, I figured that I can build a SICK budget setup w/ a sin…
