I always assumed that the 1000d had 3 - 30 amp fuses like alot of other Zenon 1000d's , but the web page says 3-25's , is this a type o, or does it have 3 - 25amp fuses

What would be the power output of this amp at a steady 14.4volts at 1 ohm? And what battery would u recommend from powermaster?

I read somewhere that the little saz 1000 d was discontinued. Is it true ? A friend of mine needs one more for his instal. Can he still buy one? He may not be ready to do so, but he really needs it. He already has 2 of them strapped running a 15" xcon, and he needs one more to strapp with his 3rd saz 1000 (that he bought from me !! ) He is building a demo car with 4 saz 1000, 2 15" xcons, and a lot of speakers in the front doors. He needs a 2nd JBL Crown (bpx 600.4) amp for his mids and highs. Everything will go in a small 2 doors Renault Clio. I will make a build log, of course !

i know there both sundown but which one would be better on 2 kicker cvx 12"woofers?being that one is a saz versus sae i dont know the difference...

Just installed my Sundown SAZ 1000D in my Camaro. As soon as I fired it up, the protection LED lit (I thought it was the power LED at first) I unhooked the output speaker wires and reset the amp (disconnected power & ground) and tried again. Still had protection LED. I then unplugged the INPUT signals, reset the amp, and this time got the power light (woohoo!). As soon as I attempted to plug in a INPUT line, the protection LED would light up. So it's the input causing the trouble, not the output. I'm using a wiring harness from Sub Thump, maybe it's bad. I checked the wires from the harness against the wiring diagram for the car and everything seemed ok. May…

Hi guys need your help here, would you recommend the SAZ 1000D or SAX 1200D to drive 1 Fi Q 12 Dual 2 ohms (1000 watts RMS) in a ported enclosure? I been doing some reading which indicated that, it's been recommended that the amp should be higher than woofer's RMS so I decided to ask the experts. Thanks, Shopvac.

I just got my saz 1000d amp and saw that it had 2 sets of speaker outputs labeled A and B. Do i only need to use one of them for one sub to get my full 1000 watts or both of them?

what is everyone getting on a saz 1500 output voltage wise ?? i did my set up with a 60 hz tone crossover set at 80hz..speakers NOT connected.. i set it at 39 voltz...output AC sounds good but not very loud at all.. maybe i am doing something wrong ?? i know they can get louder .... help..

How much electrical back up do I need to run a pair strapped at 2 and 1 ohm?

im looking for a SAZ 1500D. prefer old heatsink (to match my other sundown amps). must have pics to show condition of amp.

Only took a few shots of the actual box build as I just didn't feel like stopping to take pics. 45's in the corners and strap braces on all walls, plus double front baffle. Box is plenty solid.

How much would I gain if running one NS 18" D2 on saz-2000D against saz-1500D? Would there be difference on the ear with 500W more from saz-2000D? Is it really necessary to run over 1kw more than rated(assuming the underrated power of saz2000) to get loud or I should run 1500D and save that 100$. I don't really care about the meter. Just want to save some money.

Hey guys, first post, but a long time follower of the forum. So here's my questions. I've got a 98 explorer with a 130amp alternator, yellow top optima 55AH, upgraded big 3 (i think, got a question about that too in this post) with all 4 gauge, 1.5 farad Rockford cap w/ digi display, one Saz 1500d, and one jl 13w7 in a ported box built to the jl specs, wired in parallel so it's at 0.75ohm load. Looking at the owners manual for the 1500d it says 1500@1ohm, 800@2ohm, etc., so what would it be pushing at 0.75ohms? I have a 100amp ANL fuse between the battery and the cap. The owner of a local car audio shop told me that my amp wasn't pushing more than 1000 watts if i wasn't …

i got a saz 1500d 2005 chevy colorado and a fi bl 15". i was just wondering for the the power/ground wire, it says its recommended 0 gauge wires. but i have 4 gauge. will it be ok to use it or will it damage the amp and/or go into protection? has anyone used 4 awg for that amp?

All I can say is wow. No exclamation points. No Caps. They would not do it justice. I have no numbers regarding SPL as am not sure where I would go nearby. I have not swapped out the interior speakers yet but did hook all of the factory speakers to a RF 500a2. I ran a positive and negative cable run of 1/0 Knuconceptz Kolossus cable. As temp power I ran two 4 gauge cables to the positive of the amp and a 1/0 ground. Alpine cda 9884 cd receiver and the Alpine RUX-C701/PXA-H701 controller processor combo. Well i have finally gotten around to installing my saz2000d to power my 15inch NS at 1ohm! and let me tell you! it is loud!! Something i did notice though was with the sae1200 i would have a voltage drop of like 14.4-12.8 on the money and that was with the amp set with a dmm at 60hz at 1000rms. But with this 2000 in my trunk i get voltage drops of 14.4-12.8volts and that is set around 2000rms at 1ohm! also i was monitoring my voltage drop with a stinger voltmeter and the car was at idle which is about 750rmp. so i don't know i s12.8 good? should i upgrade my stock alt? right now i have 2 batcap 2000s in the rear and the big 3 done and that is it for upgraded electrica…

If the 5k does not make full list by the deadline, can you start the saz 2000d instead? I'm really waiting for this one, I believe it's the route you need to take next in my opinion. Any input on this is appreciated, thanks.

So I have gotten my 2-SAZ2500(and they are strapped at 2 ohm) installed on my 2-NS v1 15inch subs. I know the gain isn't set 100% and i am using my gain knob. the gain on the amp is set 60% (that is the position of it) and the gain knob is set to about 3 clicks up... when my h/u is at 40/50 and a bass line plays for a good 30 seconds the bass cuts out and doesn't come back on until i reset my h/u? my first idea was it is going into protect to I looked back and nothing both light were blue...the only thing is maybe it flashed into protect and then back into normal really fast but then my question is when an amp goes into protect and when it comes out of protect shouldn't…

So I got my 2500D, and I just realized that it doesn't have an internal fuse. So what to do? Fuse the + lead about a foot from the amp? Why doesn't it have a built in fuse anyway? Just wondering.

OK I just got my amp from DB-R today. All I have to say is that this thing is beautiful but frightening. Still waiting on my Fi 15" BLs. This is my first upper class amp. So all of you well experienced bass heads what should I expect out this amp?

I started running my Sundown 3000 at .5 ohms a little over a week ago, and I figured I'd share my experience with performance in regards to temp of the amp. Subs: 2 dual 2 ohm audiopulse axis wired down to .5 Electrical: 200 amp alt, one kinetik 1800 under the hood and one kinetik 1800 in the trunk. Sealed box, 2 cubes per sub, impedence rises over 1 ohm at 18 hz and doesnt drop below 1.1 ohms after that. Gains on the amp are set with 50volume on the deck as max Before started I took the temp of the amp it was 62 F I started playin music on volume 40 for 8 minutes, then I turned it up to 50 for 13 minutes.
