I have a 2003 toyota tundra and I want 2 upgrade from (1) 18" btl and an orion 2500d - to - (2) saz-3000d's and (2) 18" btls. But toyota has a patent on the wire harness to the alternator! So I don't know if I can recharge a good sized power bank efficiently with the 130 amp stock alt.. Unless I get a solar panel on my roof! Will a red top optima batt. with 2 powermaster 3100 batt. be enough power for (2) 3000d's? I know i'll end up running through some alternators every year. I just want a daily driver but I still want full power potientail? Does any body know anything about upgrading toyota electrical systems?

So im on my way to building a new box, right now im using 2 6" aero ports, in a 5.5 cube box for 3 sa 12's. But i want to tune lower and cant with the aeros, so im going to have to go back to slot port. Now my question is what is the pros and cons of small vs big ports, i know people recommend 12-16 per cube, but thats pretty broad. So what would you gain or loose from having a port at 12 per cube, or 16 per cube?? or in the middle. Does the bass get sloppier with a bigger port? (this is all for music by the way)

I am a novice and am looking for some suggestions. I have heard a lot good things about Sundown subs, looking at the website I am similarly impressed. I have a Toyota Tacoma Double cab and am looking to put a modest sq system in it. I have jvc double din and alpine s series component and coaxials in place. I have been trying to research a sq sub for the low end. I was going to use a single 10 in a Tacotunes enclosure ( 0.55 cu sealed with a 5.5 in top mount depth enclosure). And powering with a 5 channel amp, either re audio or alpine. I have been looking at the e series and the sd-2 series. Which sundown sub would be the best choice for a sq sub? I appreciate an…

Recently my 1200D has been going into protect after about 30 seconds of being on and I have no idea what's causing it. I always let me car run for a few minutes before turning my amps on (they are both on switches). Two days ago I went and bought all new brass screws, bolts, and washers and re-did my grounds for both the Sundown and my Pheonix Gold amp. I sanded the paint off the area and tightened them down. Yesterday I pulled the Sundown out of my car and opened it up to make sure nothing burned up. Visually, everything looks perfect and my fuses are intact. I guess the problem started when I got my component set but I don't see how that could be the issue. I've checked…

I'll be making my new box shortly with 4 Sound Splinter Signature RL-p 12". All 4 are D4 ohm giving me a final load of 2ohms for the amp. I was wondering if I should maybe trade the sundown 3000 for 2 1500. This way I could run 2 subs at 1ohm to each 1500. I "think" my other option is to run the 3000 at .5 ohm, but I don't know if that's a smart thing to do. My electrical consist of a 200 amp alt, 2 yellow tops, 2 runs of + 0awg, and 2 runs of - 0awg. What are your thoughts? I'm kinda at a lost right now, lol.

Hello. Some of you may know me from other forums. I just thought i would stop by and show off some sundown power! Ive been running Sundown in my Comp/Project vehicle for around 7 months. I compete regularly for the most part locally. The vehicle has now been retired due to the fact that I cant damage it anymore then it already has been. lol Im going to trade it back in for something new. Until then i have a few vehicles that im looking at to make a new project with. I will compete with the vehicle as well. So time is critical. Hello Guys and Gals. Well, I finally converted to Sundown. Thanks to Sundown Audio's trade in program, I traded my two American Bass VFL-100.1 amplifiers and got a Sundown SAZ3000D Amplifier. This thing is a beast of an amplifier. I still have two American Bass VFL Extreme DVC 2 ohm 12 Subwoofers that are taking a pounding from the 3000D. Everybody says that I need to upgrade to 15" Nightshades. I hope to do that one day soon. I will probably have to get my 12's reconed soon with stiffer spiders and a better voice coil. well i use going to go with aq hdc3 18 but i love the way the z 15 look and i love sundown products. here the problem i dont know which set up would be better. i going to buy my subs on wensday and i dont know if u should get 2 z15's d4 and run them at one ohm to a saz3000d or i should i get 2 z15's d2 and run the at one ohm to each saz 1500d or should i just get another t10001bd and run each z15 d2 at one ohm to each t10001bd?

I have a set of cd1e horns and need to tune this amplifier down. The horns are 40 watts each @ 8ohm. What should the output voltage look like from the amplifier? Does this sound right? E^2/R = W (W*R)^(1/2) (40*8)^(1/2) ~= 17.89 volts

I built a sealed box for my E8V2 using the recommend cubic feet from the website of .25 and the sub just sounds restricted. Now I am gonna build a vented enclosure for the sub but lost on the port size. Every calculator that I use shows a 12" (w) x 2" (h) port being around 85" (L) tuned at 35hz with a volume of .6Vb. That just does not sound right to me, so where am i going wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

The bass knob for my SAE-1000D is really stiff and difficult to turn. I'm afraid that if I try to turn it it's going to rip the screws out of my cheap plastic dash. I have a Kicker bass knob that's much looser and easier to turn. Can I use the Kicker knob on my SAE-1000D?
