Would my 1500d power 2 12" t2 ok? I know they are 1000rms/2000peak but I dunno if its underrated or over rated specs.the reason I'm asking is cuz I found the t2s at an awesome price too good to pass up! I just wana know if my 1500d would be a good match for the 12s.any input would be appreciated! Thanks

Alright. I have the amps installed in my car. I have the Rca's wired properly for strapping. Now the speaker connections. I have both subs wired like this. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=3 Mine are wired for 2 ohms. I have one set of wires coming out of my box. Positive speaker wire is going to my Master amp. Negative wire is going to my slave amp. Do I have them wired properly or am I going to have to wire each speaker to each output on the amp? It just isn't getting loud. I have the output voltage set at 77.5 volts A/C. Could someone show me some pictures of how to wire 2 dual 2 ohm subs up in the strapped configuration? I know…

I'm going to be replacing my HiFonics BXi1606 with one of these amps...I currently have 0/1 guage running from the battery to a fused distro block that has (4) 4ga outputs...the length of the wire running from the fused distro block to the amp is about 12 inches...would it be okay to run 12 inches of 4ga to the power input of this amp?

I am going to be purchasing a 3500 in the next week 2 at the most. I was just wondering what would be a better match 4 sa12's or 2 nightshade 12's both boxes will be ported. reason I am asking this will be my first time using sundown equipment so I was just seeking a little advise. I have a 275a alt., 2 svr1500 batt., so I think I will be fine powering it .

Wanted to share my install with everyone on here because I have been reading your post and advice for a long time. Its a saz 1500 on two Kicker L7 10's in a sealed box internally fiberglassed for extra strength and also for better sound quality. Kicker was not my first choice of subs but its hard to find a 10 inch sub with shallow mount that can handle the 1500. Went forward firing because its the loudest application you can get in the titan and also because up or down firing limited mounting depth. Went through 4 brands of subs and swapped out a diamond audio d5 1200 for the Sundown before being happy not an easy truck to get great sound out of. Here are some pics.

great. i have 2 8ohm mids in my car temporary for now until my door panels are done, and ive had numerous amps hooked to those same 2 mids with the same HU settings and all, and on any amp ive used (RF Punch amps, MTX, etc) the sundown 100.2 sounds the absolute cleanest, HU can be turned up alot higher (pioneer 880, usually keep it at 50 out of 62 max) and now, like 55-58 doesnt even distort when before 50 was the most i could go. great amp overall, im really glad i went with Sundown. :bigclap:

Just curious about a few things. I will be doing 3 of them in a c pillar wall so i am curious about how far would i need to keep the subs surround away from the back seat? Also how much would it have mattered if i got these d2 ohm and have them wired at 1.35ohm powered by 2 AQ2200 strapped together?

From what i've read, bass boost only sends an ugly, distorted signal to the sub. So should bass boost be set to zero, and only use the wired gain remote? Also, when using the gain remote, does it override the settings you have on the actual amp (the Gain knob on the amp)? Also, bass should be set to zero on the head unit, correct? Edit: Talking about the Saz-1500d here

I just got around to starting the install of my 50.4 I am still waiting on some parts to complete it. When I took it out of the box it has been sitting in I noticed a burnt wire smell. It seems stronger on the side where the crossovers are. Is this just because it is new and closed up in the box and fresh soder? It shows it was tested before packaged and I know Jacob said he tests them all. It is new never installed bought at SSA so I'm not worried about warrenty issues. I am just wondering if I am a little paranoid. I won't have everything for it unitl the end of the week so that will be the earliest I will know anything. Just so this dont get misunderstood I do NOT t…

Video Caption : Purposely tearing up an E-10 to demonstrate what it takes to do so. We are seeing *clamped* power of 50-100% of the woofers rating with NO BOX for 3-4 minutes straight in order to hurt the woofer. When using an amplifier rated for 400-500 RMS on these woofers in a day to day situation it will be EXTREMELY difficult to damage them. Again... this was intentional abuse -- any person hearing the type of mechanical noises we did in this testing would obviously turn it down =)
