Sundown Audio

Goofy question I know, but my 100.4 just came in and I was admiring it... Tehn as I was looking at the lil knob that come with it, I had the thought that I don't normally adjust my gains or boosts after they are set... Also, I don't really have a place or want to mount 2 knobs up front on the TrailBlazer when I get my system in and if I ever do get the system in teh Blazer, I sure don't want 6+ more little knobs up front there...

Does anyone here have these components? if so how do you like them and how much power can they handle

I just got around to starting the install of my 50.4 I am still waiting on some parts to complete it. When I took it out of the box it has been sitting in I noticed a burnt wire smell. It seems stronger on the side where the crossovers are. Is this just because it is new and closed up in the box and fresh soder? It shows it was tested before packaged and I know Jacob said he tests them all. It is new never installed bought at SSA so I'm not worried about warrenty issues. I am just wondering if I am a little paranoid. I won't have everything for it unitl the end of the week so that will be the earliest I will know anything. well i bought my sundown 100.4 off of ebay as a refurb, and i must say this amp is amazing, the crosovers sound great, and my RE components sound awesome on it shipped fast as hell, and nicely packed. only 1 problem... i fudgeed up and put my sitcker on my truck crooked lmao how much for a new one Jake? i will have some pics up in a few im gonna charge my camera

Anyone have this new amp up and running yet. How is the power of it?

So heres what is on my mind. First off i am wondering how to wire a subwoofer down to a one ohm load due to there being two sets of speaker terminals. Maybe a noob question but i cant figure it out. Second and this mite be harder to answer. Will this amplifier overpower a Fi BL15 with with the hyper pole upgrade or would it be able to take the juice without messing anything up? Any elightenment would be appreciated.

well i went to a db drag show over the weekend....it was my first time with the new amps... bass raced at a 155.3 not too bad.. the amps work great.. but my voltage was kinda suckin.. 11.5 voltz full tilt.... workin on getting more batts and another alt.. funny thing.. i did that number with my main RCA's falling out..i only had one in when i bass raced !! maybe i could have done a 156 with both plugged in.....oh well.. good weeknd .......... lil-john

got my 2 sa-12s in a 5 cube box tuned to 30-31hz using 2 4" aeros anyway i just got my crescendo bc2000 and i was playin today had to be pretty close to full tilt although amp clip light never came on anyway i am very happy with the performance of my amp and subs and box !! once done after about 10 min or so of playing different songs here and there i felt my dust caps and noticed they were luke warm now i went directly to the ports didnt smell anything is this normal ? sorry but first system i have ever had that was capable of actualy flexing anything so i had to play with it

Does anyone have an idea of about how many amp the 1500d pulls at 1ohm while going from 14.4 to around 13 volts

Wow so fri i was going to buy 2 of the sundown audio sa-8's off here, and now they don't have the listed any more whats going on.

Question #1: I will be purchasing a Sax-125.2 within the next week, the speakers that will be playing on them are (8) Eminence Alpha-6A, four on each channel. The frequency is 85-6,000 Hz, so how would i go about setting the crossoverson the amp (confusing to me)? Do I set it at Full Pass, then change the HPF to a setting and then the LPF to a setting? Question #2: I will be purchasing a Sax-100.4 within the next week, the speakers playing on them will be (4) Eminence Alpha-6C, four on two channels(2 on each one); (4) Kicker KS20 tweeters, four on two channels(2 on each one). The frequency on Mids are 81-5,500 Hz, and the frequency on the tweeters are 4,500-21,000 Hz. So…

I am going out of town for an extended business trip on July 23rd -- I will be returning August 5th. I am the only one that will be gone; everyone else will still be here. I am a novice and am looking for some suggestions. I have heard a lot good things about Sundown subs, looking at the website I am similarly impressed. I have a Toyota Tacoma Double cab and am looking to put a modest sq system in it. I have jvc double din and alpine s series component and coaxials in place. I have been trying to research a sq sub for the low end. I was going to use a single 10 in a Tacotunes enclosure ( 0.55 cu sealed with a 5.5 in top mount depth enclosure). And powering with a 5 channel amp, either re audio or alpine. I have been looking at the e series and the sd-2 series. Which sundown sub would be the best choice for a sq sub? I appreciate an…
