Sundown Audio

has anyone tested this. is one louder then the other? and this can happen! my cyclop's were .2 louder when they were not strapped

so my dads drag racing buddy has a car audio shop and he has 2 saz1500d's that need repaired. waitin to here if he can get it done. but would it be cheaper if i got them from him as is for cheap and sent them for repair? if so where would i send them and what would be the average pricing? theres a place her in oklahoma city called toms two way or sumthin like that that repairs all kinds of electronics including amps. would that be a good idea?

So heres what is on my mind. First off i am wondering how to wire a subwoofer down to a one ohm load due to there being two sets of speaker terminals. Maybe a noob question but i cant figure it out. Second and this mite be harder to answer. Will this amplifier overpower a Fi BL15 with with the hyper pole upgrade or would it be able to take the juice without messing anything up? Any elightenment would be appreciated.

Alrighty down to business! Take note of my 2 pics below. The first pic shows a piece of mdf with 4 12volt fans in it to cool the amp which is under it. Notice the second pic where the amp is underneath the fans. I am doing this so i don't lost 100% of my trunk as i will be going back to school in september. I guess this is a makeshift amp rack! My question is should my fans be blowing onto the amp? Or sucking the hot air off of the amp? I have Knu Konceptz Krystal Rca's in my ride and I need a Single Rca to Master/Slave my Saz1500d's together. Anyone know of any nice Rca's to use to make the Single run? If you will post me a link cause i am looking to buy one tonight. I am searching as we speak. The shortest KnuKonceptz has is 13 feet. That is way to long. I am still looking.

well yesterday i went down to Andrews, SC to meet with Walt(cookiemonster) to pick up some new sundown goodies. Already had a saz1500 so i picked up 4 sa12's and a saz1000d. Walt gave me class A service. 2 of these are for my truck with the saz1500 and the other 2 go in my wifes honda pilot with the saz1000d....i got the two in my truck yesterday and all i can say is wow...so much better than my re se's

will sundown be making anything like the SAE 1200D again? i was about to pull the trigger until i found out they are being discontinued

I use a ~$300 DMM to measure our coils here at the shop... why ? Well I'll show you... * Our Dual-1 coil on a cheap meter. * On our meter - factory spec is 0.84 ohms +/- 12%. This thing is dead on. * Our Dual-2 on a cheap meter. * On our meter - factory spec 1.85 +/- 12%. Again... 12% variance allows up to 2.07 and the meter only reads to the tenths place so it is dead on. So. Keep that in mind when reading your coils on a cheaper meter.

I had my sae1200 for quite some time. Then got an SAZ1500, planned on getting a dc lvl 4xl, but got a great price on a normal lvl 4, so I went with that and sold the SAZ1500 and started using my sae1200 again. I've been trying to set the gains with my dmm, But I've run into a problem. At first I thought it might be the headunit, but I switched headunits and the problem still persists. When I set my gains with the DMM and the subs not connected to the aim, I set it to 30v, which is down slightly from 1000/sqrt 1 All EQ's and bass boosts are set to 0. hi, i am going to be getting an sax100.2, sax100.4 and a saz3000d. and i am wondering if this is going to be enough electrical to support it. 1 powernaster D1200 up front, 2 powermaster d3100 in the back, a 190 amp alternator (biggest one for my car) 1/0 big 3, and i am going to be running a ground run to connect all the batteries together. also the sax100.2 will be at 2 ohm. two of the channels will be at 2 ohm and the other set will be at 4 ohm on the sax100.4 and the saz3000d will be at 2 ohm(reason for the saz3000d at 2 ohm and not an saz1500d is that i might get a new vechile(sp) in a year and then i want to go for just spl in the new vechile(sp(. so then i will al…

Wow so fri i was going to buy 2 of the sundown audio sa-8's off here, and now they don't have the listed any more whats going on.

I am wondering about something I hear alot of people talking about and want to know what it is. What is the big three? I have a Sundown audio 1500.1, to a single 12, sub box tuned to 40 hz. Electrical setup is as follows, for right now at least, stock battery up front. With two runs of 4 guage back to kinetik 800, then to a 3 farad cap, then to fuse block and lastly amp. Ground wire on second battery, and capacitor are 0 guage. I know I need to upgrade to all 0 guage, that is coming. I ran outta money, but I am still running at 12.7 at full tilt. And that is at the amp. I am just looking for more db's anywhere I can get them. Any help is and will be greatly app…

Up for grabs is a pair of 10" Sundown SD-1 subwoofers. I used these briefly for testing purposes, they will come with full warranty as they are very close to new. They do have speaker wire soldered to the terminals, though, pretend it's "direct connect" like DD Price is $125 shipped for the pair in the continental USA. These are GREAT with an SAX-100.2 to power them. I am running a pair of 10" SD-1s in my 2002 Civic if that tells you what I think about them
