Ive had to scrap my original idea of using a single 8 due to the port length / space limitation for where I wanted it. Ive decided to use the pair i have and not worry about the space required. Im guessing eclosure volume would be double the single so 1.2-1.5 cuft, what should my port size and length be? this will be for every day use thanks

I am considering an Eclipse CD7200 Mk II, which has 8v pre-outs. I'm wondering if there is going to be a compatibility issue since sundown amps are specified for up to 6 volts.

I am trying to figure out how the night shades compare to the digital design subs for a spl vehicle. I am wanting to know how loud the night shades are to the dd subs. with the same rms levels. I guess i would like a comparison btw the 9500 series and the 3500 series against the night shades. Any one with some experience here?

The Z v.2 woofers are back in stock. There have been a few revisions made : 1) The top shorting ring has been removed -- but the internal ring was upgraded from aluminum to copper. 2) The coil windings changed from 4-layer flat aluminum to 4-layer round bifilar copper -- this lowers Fs a bit and I tested no loss in efficiency at lower power and a small gain at high power. Coil is a bit more robust than the aluminum was as well due to additional mass. Copper also has a lower thermal expansion to accommodate the Z v.2 tight gap. All in all it makes the driver more tolerant to abuse. --- We still have the 4-layer flat aluminum coils to match other subs on re-cones... also, t…

"The ATO style fuses in the SAE-1000D are designed to handle roughly 130% of rated current for 10 minutes per the spec sheet for around 98 amps of handling, which at 14.4 volts is almost exactly 1000 watts at 75% efficiency. Since this is not an SPL competition amp I decided to go with 3x 25 amp fuses. The prototypes had 3x 30 amp fuses and I found that they would not blow even at a 1/2 ohm load for extended periods. I went with 3x 25 amp fuses to give a warning to inexperienced users when they wire the amp too low." Also posted in the FAQ thread: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7406 Item Number 4. I was seeing the question about fusing on several …

Hey guys i know this might be a dumb question but what are the diffences between the nightshade and the Z? What does each sub excel at? I hear alot of people saying very good things about the nightshades but not much info is floating around about the Z. I see that both are rated at 1500wrms(im sure they take way more), is one a SQ sub and the other SPL or a combination of both. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

ÎÒÂ-Ïðèì >> [PRO] Òà÷êè: àâòîçâóê êàê îí åñòü First car is a SQ ride with one SA-12 -- I caught a "Sundown Audio" around 6 minutes (I don't understand Russian so that is all I got). At around 8 minutes they get into the Team Sundown Russia Mitsubishi Pajero ground pounder with four SA-12s. Looks like audio is big time in Russia with a 15-minute segment on car audio !!!

Hi, I have just sold my Mmats 3500.1 amplifier as it didn't have the subsonic option and I just wanted a change... I was looking into a Sundown 3000 amplifier but after speaking with our UK dealer (DirectIce) I have been advised they are being replaced with the 3500 version. He is still looking into if he can get hold of the 3000 for me, any ideas and prices for both? In

Hello everybody. I just wanted to let everyone know that my Kia Sportage SUV is on the Sundown Audio's Rides Page. It is listed under the Customer's Ride's Page, but it should be listed in the Team Sundown Audio Member's Page. I am just happy they accepted my pics. Tell me what you think guys.

I'm running 10g wire for the POS connections and had a hunk of 4g laying around, so I used that to connect the NEG terminals. Any problem with running bigger wire for the NEG connections?

I'm picking up a pair of Z15's off a guy on the forums here. Due to trunk space and lack of a HO Alt I'm only going to be running one of them and either selling the other or keeping it as a spare. Since they're dvc4 I can only run it at 2 ohms on the amp, and the product manual states that the amp does 600w at 2 ohms. Will there be a large downgrade in performance running them this low? Right now I'm running 2 shitty 12s at a 4 ohm load, and since the manual states that it does 300 @ 4ohm, I dmm'd it at 300. I'm hoping that the z15 on twice the power will blow the 12's out of the water. But by giving the sub just over half its RMS, am I severely limiting it's potential? O…

So I just got my SAE-1200D in the mail and installed it. Im pretty sure I installed everything correctly. This is far from my first time wiring an amp. The issue I had was that I couldn't get any sound from the subs so I started trouble shooting. I had good power, ground and remote cause the little green light was coming on, I checked my wiring for the subs and everything checked out there so I figured the problem must be in the RCAs. I check the HU to make sure the subs were turned on and they were. I broke out a new set of RCAs and ran them unimpeded to the amp and still got nothing. Then i decided to move the connection from the INPUT to the OUTPUT and voila, I got m…

Hey guys, Seems like everything is selling out this month -- that happens when sales climb WAY faster than expected I suppose SA-12 stock is low but I have TWO production runs on order back to back. I easily sold 2-3x more than I predicted of these -- so thanks to all of the new and existing Sundown customers who are supporting our new SA line woofers. We are growing really fast this year so I apologize for the low stock / out of stock at this time -- I am working to get inventory lined out for the updated demand, though!
