I've been havin to measure a few amp's outputs recently to measure wattage output and actual resistance at a given note for competition. All the amp's i've ever tested, i always have the user keep it at the same volume level for several seconds so i can get an average voltage and amperage reading sinec these numbers always fluctuate due to resistance changing and voltage dropping... Well, i had the opportunity to measure a sundown SAZ-3000D over the weekend.. and i've NEVER seen an amp remain constant throughout the whole test! Hello SSA, I was pulling my woofers out to look at like I do every once in awhile since they aren't installed yet, and I noticed (not for the first time, but was reminded) that one has the cooling ring with "Sundown Audio" incribed and the other does not. (It has three holes which I assume are for the same purpose) I was wondering if that would cause problems later down the road or if it significantly affects power handling? I finally got around to a dry-run of my comps and amps last night. I must admit, the JBL P650c's sound every bit as good as I'd hoped. The Sundown 100.4 really makes them shine. But I've been thinking, isn't it a waste of the 100.4 to just drive the two front pairs? They run at 4 ohm, and I end up only using the first two channels of the amp. I also purchased a 100.2 to drive my RL-i8 DVC4, but I wonder if it wouldn't make more sense to swap amps and have the 100.2 driving the front stage and move the 100.4 to the sub? This would also fit much better (physically) into my vehicle, as the 100.4 peeks out from behind the driver's seat. Can anyone suggest the best scena…

How underrated is the 100.2? I saw jacob post that it is extremely underrated... I was just curious if anyone has any figures.

This is the first time I've used a remote gain, so sorry if I'm just being stupid. Anyway, I just got it installed and have my gain on the amp set about half way. Now every time I start to turn the remote gain, I get a pop from my subs. Why is this happening? Is it my ground? If so, I'm not sure how I could make it any better. The ground is secured to the chasis and I sandpaper'd the area where the ground makes contact. I'm also using brass screws/bolts to secure it. I'm just a little confused here.

can a sazx-100.4 handle 2 ohm on bridge mode?, if any one have try it before, let me know thanks

K got my saz-1000d today. Now I know on other amps to get the most out of it you need to bridge the 2 channels. Now on this amp do I need to do the same? I noticed it doesnt have it printed on the amp. You know what I mean. Pos of 1 channel and neg of 2nd channel. I have it wired to a 15 fi Q with bp option in a sealed box. sub is wired amp pos to 1 side then bridged over to the the other pos. same for neg. I think this presents a 1 ohm load to the amp.

Hey jacob, what kind of crossovers will the 250.2 have? will it have crossovers so it can be used in a high powered component setup or will it be a sub amp? Or both?

As long as I don't let my voltage drop I should be able to strap them at 1 ohm right ????? what is a 3000d rated at at .5 an ohm has any one ever tested them??? plan on runnning four dd 12's 3500 or 9500 at 1 ohm is it worth it??

I know you can run the 100.4 active. I "believe" using the SSF to make a bandpass. Does it do that with chan 1/2 or 3/4? The manual doesn't really explain much. Any help or links to a post with that info would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm doing an install for a guy this weekend and need that info asap. Or Mr. Sundown replying and setting me straight is always appreciated.

I need help with a box spec for my 2 Sundown Audio SA-15s. Its going into a Izusu Rodeo. My goal is to hit over 150db. The box needs to be 6 to 8 cubic feet, port tuned to 35hz and max width is 41". I looking for a box that i can use as a daily driver and for competitions. I would appreciate the help.

So today i noticed something interesting regarding my SAX100.4. I am currently running no subs (waiting for my saz2500(2) to come in) so my setup is the big 3, h/o, 2-nsb90, 2-zapco RB13.2 comps and the 100.4 so let me see if i can explain this issue correctly... here is my door panels for starters so i currently have all 4 channels in use and the crossover point is 80hz channel 1/2 - is 1 set of gains and filters (hpf) channel 3/4 - is another set of gains and filters (hpf) i am at the 1x range and hpf on channel 1/2 i have the gain set to 1/4 of the way up (just positioning i am not a noob it is for reference sakes) to match the output of 1/2 i have to set 3/4 gain…

I used to be a rep back in 08, was told by Jacob if i even needed anything let him know. Ok, should have my tax check here next friday...woot woot. I will be ordering 2 12" SA's and was wondering if this box and amp will work. Was getting a design done for 3.5cuft @ 30hz and will be running a Rockford Fosgate T1000.1 (the new mini black one) The amp says 1250 @ 1ohm I might upgrade the amp later...but this is what I have now.
