does anyone know the mounting depth of this sub

The SA line is mostly sold out right now... we only have SA-10 D4 in our warehouse at this time. We have more SA-8s both ways and SA-10 D2 due in 3-4 weeks. We have all other SA sizes and configurations in large quantity due in November. ----- Our distributor in Iowa, Top Dog Audio, has some SA woofers in stock. WoofersEtc.com also has stock on most configurations of the SA line right now as well.

So im happy to say that ive made up my mind and instead of squeezing 2 HDC3 15's in my truck im gonna go with 2 nightshade 15's since they like smaller boxes. My question is when are they going to be back in stock in the ssa store and are they gonna be the v2 or v1 or both? Has there been any word on how much the v2 is gonna cost?

Some production shots from the factory before they were loaded up : ---------- SD-2 10" ---------- SD-2 12" ---------- You will note these have 16 vent holes in the frame vs. 12 on the prototypes and the surround is stitched on -- the surround material is also an upgraded material. Otherwise the cone / spider / frame are equal to the SA line. The motor and coil shrank down a bit -- so you can think of the SD-2 like a "mini-SA" line.

I didnt want to clutter up the thread that was talking about the upcoming E8 woofer but I had some questions about it in relation to other sized woofers. I can not find anyplace in my town that sells or even has 8 inch woofers on display so I can hear. I have no idea what kind of bass come from the 8 inch woofers. All I'm familar with is the bass that comes from my two 12 inch Cerwin Vegas in a sealed enclosure. I'm looking for something punchier (the bass from the 12s seems muddy) but I still want it to get as loud at the lower frequencies as my 12s do (so I'm looking at 4 of these E8s). I just need to know if the 8s will deliver this punchier bass....i'm assumin…

Ok, I have 2 FI BL 18's, D2 ohm now with 2 sundown 1500d's strapped. I still have stock alternator battery up front and powermaster d3100 in back. I am getting another 3100 and missinglink module, and think it comes set at 14.4-15.2v. Now I want to add another 18". Should I run both my 1500d's strapped on the 3 which is 1.3 ohms I believe, or sell them and run 1 saz-3500d?

I need to mount two amps together. One on top of the other. What is the easiest, best way to do this. I also need to keep them as tight as possible due to space limitations. Any suggestions?

Alright everyone I'm having a custom box made for my 2002 Chevy Avalanche to be installed in the midgate. What do you recommend in terms of specs and advice.

Okay so I have the low end figured out, but for the mids and highs I haven't decided. I figured since I already have Kicker 6 x 9's I'd go with some Kicker 6 1/2" for the doors and some 1" tweets. I think the SAX 50.4 would be a good buy. My low end will be (2) of the SA-12's powered by the SAZ-2000D. Will the mids and highs keep up with the low end or should I go bigger?

got it back today hooked it up to my RF power hx2 15 and all i can say is DAMN!!!! much better then the 250wrms i did have lol. i gotta do some tweaks to my box and it will be even better im tuned at 40 hz and im regretting it now shoulda stayed tuned at 30hz...... pics and vids coming later today

just wondering if 1 nightshade 12 and saz1500 in my waggon would worth a shot. im getting my a$$ beat in meca as2 i know i have a big space to fill but i love to do crazy things. i love the thiught of single subs. one more thing does anyone have a used saz1500

Congrats to CnJ autosound one of my dealer in the philippines for winning first place in several competition. FI BTL 12 with an enclosure tuned @ 39 hz powered by 2 Sundown SAZ1500d strapped with 2 powermaster xs3100 Surprisingly did a 146.2db sealed on dash and the cd played is lollipop by lil wayne.

Placed an order for another SAZ-1500 this morning! Nothing but the best from Jake and the Sundown Team!

I'm running 10g wire for the POS connections and had a hunk of 4g laying around, so I used that to connect the NEG terminals. Any problem with running bigger wire for the NEG connections?

in peoples opinion which sub will sound better for spl. both will be in ported box built to specs, powered via 3500d?

I read the instructions in the FAQ's section but i'm still somewhat confused. If i have (2)saz1500s strapped together i will still be getting a (1ohm) load correct? I am going to be running (2)FI BL - dual 1 so will run into a problem strapping these two amps together for my setup? Should i look into purchasing dual 2's instead

I hooked up my amp the other day and turned on the car for the first test and the protection light turned on for a couple seconds and then turned off. I wasnt getting any power to the speakers so i checked the manual and it said i either have a short in the speaker wire or my amp is faulty. So i disconnected my speakers and tried again and the light still flashes on then off. Should i send the amp in? Its an SAX-50.4

so my friend tells me this idea, and i became interested and want to know some opinions. if its a good idea i may just go with this over a 4th order bandpass through armrest.... he says "Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. How you guys think that will work? " 727kid on here, 2 12" BLs and 2 sundown 1500d's BTW.

I just wanted to say thank you for your great products Jacob. I just put my system in the other day. It consists of 1-12"Sundown Audio Nightshade, a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D, an old school USamps 4 channel powering a pioneer component set with a Pioneer Premier head unit. The Sundown audio equipment is amazing. Couldn't be any happier with the output. I haven't had it tested yet, but as soon as I do, I will post results. And the assistance making the box and everything about Sundown Audio, is what is going to keep your name and company getting bigger and better. Went to local show, Larry's Electronics today in Mesquite....Lotta nice stuff there... Had my hoopty out there as usual...both 3000D's strapped @ 0.5ohm...each amp seeing 0.25ohm....and the 18" Nightshade in my daily music box tuned to 27Hz....WoW! lol.......Peaked out at 44Hz.... Tone 44, I burped a 150.4 and a 150.5.......I can't wait to get the SPL box in this damn thing... On to a couple pics..... The Ride.. The set-up... The Equipment of choice.. The score... Had a good time...Looking for 154's when I get the SPL box done...
