Wow... It has been years since I've been on here. But I can say, this website taught me a lot when I got into the industry almost a decade ago. Now I'm in college and build/design boxes as a side job to make some money (pretty good money some months). Bought a TJ a little over a year ago, and finally decided it was time to do a semi-permanent system (something I could easily remove if I needed to). Got a 2009 Pontiac G6, came with 15% on all windows but the front windshield. Black Dubs rims. Couldn't take not having bass any longer. Pulled the trigger on a B-stock Sundown X12D2 from EMF. Going to order a Shark Audio SHKAMP-2500D today from ebay for $99 shipped to power it with till I can get a better amp. Seen this as I was putting away the box. Explains the B-stock designation. I'm guessing they smudged the finish as seen here:

DeYoung. I installed them today.

Well yesterday finally got descent weather to let the kids play outside so I can work on my build. Yesterday I was able to start with the sound deadner I had purchased several months ago. I am going to have to order more I did not have enough. Also I am going to order the SDS deadner next time. I have read alot of good things about don and his product and he responeded within hours of my email about his products. enough talking here are my pics. So excited to get this started. <p> This is just of the sub portion since I already had everything else installed and replaced sub stage. I went with Quentin's box design, 12" XCON D2, and BC2000. Only thing left is the 270a Mechman. I'll just run through what i have. Kenwood excelon, 4 kicker ks68 6x8's, 2 kicker tweeters, each Tweeter is in parrellel with a 6x8. running the is a MTX te404. Looking to upgrade speakers sometime in future. All 0 guage wire for big 3 and ran to the back baterry and sub amp then 4 guage from batt to te404 amp. also had these made for my door speakers cause for some reason I have 6x9s in the doors I got to installing them today. with the crescendo mezzos I bought of S. DeYoung I believe his name is.

So far my box is pretty much complete. I used the recommended build for the optimal ported . I adjusted a few recommendations in the build as this is my first ever. I cant wait to place in my X-Con!

i been wantin to make a thread like this so fk it i am lol.... i started w/ this system ~10 months ago.. big difference between now and then. 1st was an splx15" and ss pca1000d: 136.8db still the same clarion deck.. added EQ w/ 7v out got a bigger box maybe 3cubes added a 4" aero.. this box and 4" port was the lowest hitting out of all the ones ive tried so far. 138.9db picked up a used 9515 and also swapped the pca1000 for the pca1500d the splx was a loud sub.. the dd sounds alot nicer though sealed off the 4" hole on the front, added a side firing 6" flared port.. 141.8db most recent mid/high amp, if you look at the pics i've been through 3 or 4 already.. …

So i just started my build this weekend(tue-wed)for me. The build is simple, not to much to it. 2 Sundown Audio SA-8's Dual 4 ohm 1 hifonics brutus 1200.1 1 xs power d1200 batt. That's all the new stuff i am getting. I already have 1 d1200 under the hood and a 300amp custom built alt. This is going to go with my 2 sets of massive audio rk6 component's and my massive audio 4 channel with a pioneer touch screen dvd3100.
