Hi, This will be the first build log I have ever made. Been on the forum for years and have gathered a lot of my knowledge and expertise from this forum. I have been working on audio system for about 4 years now, and have had many different setups in my Saturn with each just getting louder and better. It has been a journey. What’s up everyone. Picked up a pair when they were released. And finally got around to installing them.

My wife wrecked my town car. There's $5k in damage, almost enough to total it. So I took the check, and it's for sale for 3k on craigslist as a driver. I replaced it with something more fun. 06 Pontiac GTO I found on eBay. Here's a pic I took an hour north of Fresno, CA on the 13 hour drive back to Portland, OR. It's a one owner with 27k. So far I've bought a Diablosport Predator tuner, a Vararam OTRCAI, and tinted the windows. Other than the stereo I'm going to try to keep the mods to a minimum(it's 400 from the factory). I have finally began to piece together the equipment for my next install. Being away at school makes it difficult to work on things, so slowly but surely it will get done. I'll try to keep this thread updated as I go along. To begin, the vehicle will be a 2002 Ford Explorer. Winter is a great time to start a REBUILD in MICHIGAN! I'm building up a "foundation" for a future bass race setup in my Jeep. Right now, it's just for two 15's but I would like to get some heavy duty 18's in the future once I add more power to the mix.... I received a phone call last night at work from a friend who I have not seen in several months. He moved for our company to start up a new facility. He has done may wild builds in the past some of which I ask him to post. He recently started an account here and ask me to start his build log. So far he has purchased: 8 Kicker cvr 15"s 2 Hifonics XXV Colossus amps Audio Control Epic-160 4 sets of Kicker ds650.2 Deka batteries (not sure of size) He is going to putting this in a Ford minivan and is currently planning on going with a sealed sub enclosure. So I finally decided to start my first build log as my box is almost done and I've received most of the equipment. So far my build will consist of 2 15" SSA Icon 15" in a 7.2 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 32hz. The subs will be ran by a Crescendo BC2000D wired with one positive run of ofc Knu 0 guage and one negative run. Battery is a brand new xs power d2700, front speakers are hertz hsk components in front and hertz ecx in rear on a Rockford T15004. Also have a 250 amp alt from Mike Singer coming. Will post pictures later today. I'm open to suggestions and critisism as long as its constructive as I'm always looking to learn.

So after finally getting the money together I'm beginning the build on my 1994 Ranger. My Wires came in yesterday. And my amp and sub stuff should be coming in tomorrow. Without further a due. This build will not be a rushed one.. I want to take my time, cause I rushed my last build. I have learned alot of stuff from other forums, but from the little time I have been looking at the amazing builds here.. I know I will be busy soon getting this beast running before any audio goes in, but I have also been working on some ideas.. It's not for sure cause if I can get to it I have been in contact with Mike Singer to design me a 4thorder for 12 12's.. I probably will be using some Alpine type R's (older models swr-1242d) for awhile until funds allow me to go further.. Mike said that using the alpines would not be a bad thing cause they do so well in sealed enclosures…

I'm not sure how I could fit a wall in a single cab. It doesn't have a bench seat which makes it more difficult. It's two separate seats with a console. So far I have two 6 inch earthquakes and a 10 inch selenium with a quantum audio equalizer and a 1,000 watt DHD amp. Any advice will help on how to build or what I need. I was thinking two 6's two 10's and two 8's and fabricate the wall in camo and paint the grills orange. I'm not sure if it's possible and if so let me know how. Thanks!

this is my first build doing it all by myself box is 28 long 20 deep and 15 high tuned to aprox 32hz did the carpet in the basment with contact cement and almost passed out due to lack of ventalation this will be the future home for my fi btl 12 and i will have more photos when i get my amp and sub

Well it's time for a rebuild. I am shooting to win MECA Street 5 finals this year. I set a state record so far this year with my two death penalty 21's. 148.6 at the headrest. Thats pretty good I think, and I am very happy with it being my first year competing. I have also picked up xs power as a sponsor, and am a member of Team DBs! Now to win the finals I am going to need to get louder. In the mid 150 range. So I sold the 21's and am getting 4 2010 model Death Penalty 18's, an will be running them off of my new 40.1!! And here is the start of the rebuild. Starting with the box.

working on the bottoms of the doors after cutting out some rust he will indeed wavy hood more rust spots fixed didn't think new oem skins would need so much work to get them straight.. urethane - plastic prep + primer = oops

My current build can be found here. Decided to try out a ZCON. I probably would not have bought one but I bought this used at a good price. USPS is holding the driver at their facility so hopefully tomorrow I can pick it up. Really going a different route with the enclosure as well. I picked up a few 8" aero ports from Adrian_D Enclosure specs : 4.11^ft tuned at 35hz The port opening is literally right beside the sub. I am very curious how this will work out. well, havent started the install, still waiting on the battery terminals, some ring terminals, d block, comps, some speaker wire, and of course gotta find an install sleeve and trim ring the douchebag didnt send me with the HU, got some lined p just waiting to see if the guy ever gets back to me. but heres some pics. I am also probably going to wait til I get some CLD tiles for the doors to install the comps, and the box is going to be somewhere around 3-3.5 cubes at 32-35. still gotta make a decision on that. but heres some pics of what Ive gotten so far. the odd sub is just a RF S212S4 to compare the size of it.

Wished I had taken pics of during the construction of the box, but I didn't have my camera on hand. But it's your plain sealed box. Internal volume of .75 cu ft net. Hertz called for an insanely small .57 cubes sealed, but I was afraid the bottom octaves won't be as pronounced. So I ended up going with .75 cu ft. I picked up the Sundowns and the Eclipse 8443 back in December and threw in a temporary set up. Now that I'm not having my life sucked away by a manipulative bitch, I'm finally getting the install completed. I'm rebuilding the RL-i boxes to be slightly larger and not have airleaks and be more attractive. Side panels will be build into which the amps will be flush mounted.
