Figured I would get some pictures up of the stereo build up for my mustang. Nothing really over the top or crazy. Just wanting to improve on sound since its my DD. The "skirt" underneath the box shows where the old ported enclosure came …

So i did a build in my wife's car awhile back. It's a simple build just added a 10" sub for a little added bass. So i am going to start on my wife's car with a custom enclosure in the trunk. Its a 2012 toyota corolla and i will place it in the wheel well area. This is going to be a slow and learning process as i only get an hour or so a day, if that. A few starting pics... So i thought it would be easier for me to take it out to start with the taping and prep work. Also once i get to fiber glassing I would not want it to be smelling like fiber glass in her car.

  6. So I figured I'd start the build log for this car, Its gonna be a little slow to begin as the first big step for the install is going to be a pain in the ass. For those that were looking forward to the bronco build, and wondered what happened to that.. well the truck was wrecked, and the body work that is needed to be done is now quite extensive. So the work on that will be to bring it back to its original beauty before any audio work is done. The car is an 2013 all wheel drive Chrysler 300 with pearlescent white paint. (uploading picture atm) Already has the Team SSA sticker on the back window (uploading picture atm) My current temporary plans for the audio ar…

Been off the forums and out of the car audio word for a while now. Decided I want some more bass in my 2014 escape titanium. It has the factory Sony 10 speaker system but I need more. I originally decided on a xcon 15 and a hifonics brz1200 amp. The next day I go tab place the order and the black and blue sale starts. Now I have a death penalty 15 and ia10.1 amp on the way! I have every thing wired in the car now, 0 Guage from the battery, 0 Guage ground, and a pac ls1 up front. Found a turn on lead from the rear fuse box, and spliced into the Sony amp in the rear as well. When first checking the car to see if it can handle a stereo I found that it has a 150 am…

whats up guys. I've had a few build logs on this forum in the past and figured why not one more! This time around it is for my personal vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. Love this car. Goals for this build is foremost SQ, especially regarding a wide deep soundstage. Secondly to be able to hit +145db around 30hz. Gotta love dem lows! Concerning amplification, the limiting factor will be a single run of Sky High 1/0. This is over sized cable but will limit current draw to 300 amps max. I want a somewhat usable trunk and will be utilizing the spare tire well for the subwoofer enclosure. Front stage limitations include using stock door panels, stock a-pillars an…

I picked up this car recently and wanted to toss in some equipment that I've had laying around BNIB for years. I don't know how much of it will fit or how to make it work but I'd like to use all of it if possible. This is all the same stuff I was going to install in the old Merc. That car didn't work out and was sold a few years ago. I'm going to attempt to install this myself again but was looking for pointers so I don't fuck anything up along the way. I've been looking at a few videos on how to take the interior apart etc. Not gonna go crazy like I did last time tho. I think when it gets here, I will start with the h/o alty and the big 3. I bought an alt from Mechm…

Here are some pictures from my build in the suburban. The box is approximately 20 cu ft tuned to 34 hz. I have a 300 amp Ohio Generator alternator with 2 runs of 2/0 welding wire. The amp is an Audiopipe APK-5500 @1 ohm. I have a Boston Acoustics GT-42 running the selenuim mids and crescendo tweeters.

Hey Guys, Some of you already know who I am, and for those who don't, here is a quick summary. Basically, I run Taramps, and I have been using Lithium batteries from the good people over at Juice Box Battery. I also use 6 15" SSA Evils subs in a 4thbp that's 50 cuft Gross. This 12DCV system topped off at 162db with poor electrical being at fault for not betting that score since achieving it. Well for 2016, I am changing things up a bit, at least for what seems like the rest of the season. I have shipped my LiFePo4 battery back to JB for repair, and since have acquired 18 XS Power D3400s. I have also wired them in series to achieve 230 DCV Resting. The amplifier…
