So after a very long hiatus from this site, I wanted to post some updated pics of where Im at currently. Originally I started out with a couple pioneer shallow mounted subs, which were great. But always left me wondering what more I could get, so I found SSA and picked up a single 15" Xcon. I absolutely loved it. Except it was in a huge rear firing ported enclosure. Then I started having kids, and the need for my cargo space forced me back to a shallow mount option using two Sundown SD3 12"s. Again, this left me wondering "what more?". Anyways, after I bought my first Xcon I loved it so much I bought a second. But I just never had the opportunity, until now....8ft^3 …

so im building a CNC machine capable of cutting full sheets of MDF, wood, plexi etc.. my goal is to be able to produce these for sale most cnc's that cut 4x8 sheets cost upwards of 100k and the backyard ones that you see aren't that accurate (over 1/16th inch accuracy) and still cost 4-7000 dollars, my goal is to get them build for under 2500 so anyways onto the build pics thats the render of the final product another render y and z axis

Finally posting up some pics of my ride so everyone can see what I have since I use to ask so many questions and get tons of advice all the time and noone ever saw any of what i ended up with so far. I had wenn_du_weinst design this for me. Its tuned to 35hz, I can't remember if he told me the airspace. Day one looked like this. Knocked a little piece out.. Lookin down the port. Bottom of the box.. Day two I glued the second baffle on, and cut out the sub holes. This is the second time I've used a jig saw, first time was yesterday when I cut out a mount for y CB out of some left over mdf. I think the holes turned out okay? Its all glued inside on the seams. I started a building for the two DP21"s a couple days ago. They'll be powered by four JL 1000/1v2's. Also doing a couple layers of Damplified Pro on the roof. Should be done this weekend or next week depending on what kind of distractions come up. What it's all going in. Everything. It was a bit breezy. Port. That's all I have done right now, more pics coming tomorrow.

Just realized I have been posting this build everywhere except for here. Allow me to share: :cool: Amps on the left and right, Processor in the middle. The white plexi is going to be for wires to run through from the audio processor. The rest from the amps will go to the left and right of the amp rack.

hey fellas. so I work 6 days a week. I don't have a lot of free time so this will be a bit slow so sorry for that. I have some pics of a build I did May of 2014 that I'm going to post right now. I'm planning on rebuilding it completely. so here's some pics of what ive got going on right now.

As I type this, I have yet to figure out how to get the pics of the build so far off the camera and cell phone and onto here, so any knowledgeable folks are welcome to jump in and help me out... Right now the box is together and the inside is painted, and I will be painting the outside with some textured stuff soon, or I'll just carpet it... Hopefully I get these pics on soon.

Round number two for the real deal. Started planning and collecting for this build a few months after I got the car, so basically a full year now. After forever the build is finally coming together. I have an Adcom GTP-450 pre-amp with a GFA-535L for power (60W @ 8). I'm going to do the build using a combination of MDF and Oak. The neighbors shop setup More pics to come soon

Ok this is for a buddy of mine ... I am helping him with his build in lifted 1999 F250... it will be 2 15in icons in 8cubes tunned to 32hrz with 128sqin of port. big three and dual batts aslong as amps and front stage will be determined later once funding is here.. shouldnt be longer that two months. for now it will be off a pos dhd2000 with what ever he has as frontstage and deck. here is a pic of the box tell me what u guys think and if we should go with this design the space ontop of the port is blocked to cut down the box size.. i still got .88 cubes to play with and some bracing to add.

Hello from Martinique , A friend of mine, a box builder for a shop here, is upgrading is sound system. He's going from 1 SSA xcon 15" on 2 Sundown saz 1000 d amps to 2 xcons on 4 saz 1000d. We bought the design from someone on this forum ! The box is made in 2 parts : one for each sub. Totally independant chambers and ports. 2 exactly same boxes. For the mids (2 8" Davis Acoustics speakers on each front door)he will use a JBL amp (px 300.4) and for the highs(several 5.5" speakers and tweeters, all Davis) he will use a new amp : the JBL 100.4. Doors and trunk are already deadened with SecondSkin Audio Damplifier and Damplifier Pro. Here are some pics of the box build.

Got the call from someone local to build a box for his setup. He has 2 SSA Evil 18's on 2 NS-1's at 0.5 ohms a piece, with 4 XS D3100's and a Mechman 270. His current box was initially built for 4 18's (something like 18 cubes net) and stuck WAY above the window line. He wanted a box for just the 2 that he has, a lot smaller box, and something with a little "flair". Well, here it is... Specs: 13.2 cubes net 12" Octaport 32.3 hz Double layered all around (except sides) Window style bracing Bolt terminals Bedlined outside with a fire-engine red port Be sure to watch the video at the end!

You take 2 audio geeks, 2 cars with similar installs and 2 of the cheapest 10" speakers. Add some particle board, a huge port and try to lay the smack-down Here's how the box looks, 2 $20 subs, in a push-pull configuration. It's going to have to fit in the cargo area, initially designed for my car but my friend and I were both anxious to hear the thing before the wood glue cured and it's pretty awesome. The Honda will get a custom-fit box once I exhaust all the ideas in the Jeep. We even did 2 burps with a short port. Considering the end goal for the system is 142+ dB, how about some educated guesses on the actual score today?

Been putting this off for a while. I have been contemplating on doing a wall then I said nah i'll just trade the sub and back to keeping it and doing something with it. Well here goes a buncha wasted time later and I finally decided to kick off the build. I decided to stay street and try something different for once.
