I figured I would go ahead and start a build log to keep track of my progress. My current vehicle is a 1994 GMC Jimmy 4 door 4wd. I haven't had a system in any of my vehicles in a very long time, and for some reason i got the itch. So, this build began. i never posted this when i first installed it all over a year ago. originally it was supposed too stay small, but that went out the window. so i will just post some of the older photos first just too give an idea of what it was. in the pics i show only one of many different sub stage setups. the original idea was the pdx 1200rms amp that put out rated from 2 to 4 ohms, so i could run at least one of every type of sub i have as i please. this is my ride this was the equipment. this was the most common sub stage i used with the pdx amp, it is a passive setup, i would rotate from the sdx15 pictured, an eclipse 3hp ti, or a tc3000. and this below is were it stands as of n…

So... i have been rockib the DCON 15 for a while and i am VERY impressed. So i have decided to add 3 more! Yup... 4 15" DCONs walled behind the second row seating I plan on doing a little deadener as welll. Not crazy tho. So i will be lookng to buy a 1200-1500 watt 1ohm stable amp. (Sae(x)(z)1200-1500, AQ1200-1500 etc. No more than $200 Pics and stuff later.

My current build can be found here. Decided to try out a ZCON. I probably would not have bought one but I bought this used at a good price. USPS is holding the driver at their facility so hopefully tomorrow I can pick it up. Really going a different route with the enclosure as well. I picked up a few 8" aero ports from Adrian_D Enclosure specs : 4.11^ft tuned at 35hz The port opening is literally right beside the sub. I am very curious how this will work out. This is the first time I have actually built anything but test boxes for my subs. I have had 9 other cars and I never have them long enough to put a real system in them. ok ssa family members i sure could use your help.... i have 2 sa-8s.... i built a slot ported enclouser.... 37w/12h/13d = 1.5 cd. after port/sub displacement.... i ported this ecclouser 3.25in. wide port 1 was 9in. and port 2 was 28in. long.....35hz..... poor results.... im wondering if port width may be to wide.....this enclouser build just doesnt seem to have decent deep bass.... im thinking possibly aero port enclouser build now.... im using dual 2ohm subs on 1500watts..... 2 ohm load....i need some real experienced advise since mines a failure.... i know best recommended 1.2 cubes now how about this porting issue.... help... help.... every day w/out bass is a day in…

So I finally got around to helping my little brother install his little system lol! I must say it looks and pounds very nicely! $650 Ballin On A Budget Build. Had to add $50 for the two sheets of cabinet ply I'ma pick up at HD hopefully this weekend. Everything else was traded straight up for what I already had.
