It took a little longer then expected, but my brother and I finished his truck stereo. The center console came out great!!!! My brother did almost all of the fab work, as I was busy with school and couldn't help much. We decided to go with a sealed enclosure for the death row at about 1.5 cu ft. It sounds fantastic in his truck. I wouldn't hesitate to run them in sealed boxes. His front stage consists of aura sound buyouts and vifa tweets with the madisound XO for them. Here are some pics of the build. Took a couple weeks to do everything. The box itself is in 3 parts. The enclosure for the sub, then the separate piece with cup holders, and the top piece that house…

I had a thread on here a while ago but just decided to start a new one. I really only have been updating the build log on DIYMA but I'm bored so I am making a new one here. System consists of CD1-Pro Mini Horns for the Tweeters, X69 for the mids, and a Kicker IX500.4 bridged to each pair. That is what is in right now. Right now I just started on an Infinite Baffle set up to mount 2 15" Dayton HFs. BTW I know pics of the car will be requested so when I clean her this weekend I will post some new ones up.

Just about finished it all up today, got a few more things to touch up but for the most part it is done. First off thanks to Matt at MCOR for giving me a hell of a deal and JL for coming through in the clutch and sending me a free t-shirt! The goal of the install was to get much improved sound while keeping it stealthy. I choose to go with JL Audio C5-650 Components powered off a Sundown 100.2 still with the factory head unit. The mids were placed into the stock locations, with baffles made onto the 6x9 brackets and the tweets placed into the kicks. Just about all the wires were techflexed, heatshrunk, and labeled for cleaniness and ease of install. The amplifier and…

aight after the 3x event i went to this weekend it made me want to give my g/f something she can bassrace with cuz she actually enjoyed it alot. so i figured hell we got a new vehicle together and she still has her old car. so i decided i am gonna wall it off with 4 of the cheapest 15's i can find and im gettin a fosgate 1501bd *old school badassa amp* for 200 from a buddy of mine. i just spend $129 shipped on subs and $200 on an amp. so im at $330 i have a head unit, got some wire, pretty much have everything covered. probably gonna buy some cheap car batteries to throw in the back. tryin to keep it under $500 for the whole build. my goal for her is a 139.9 bas…

Hey guys.... Been a while since I have been here. Glad to be back. My progress has been slow due to work and procrastination ( and a little too much reading ). I will post more pics up as I have made more progress than my Flikr account shows. I will be starting work on the A-Pillars and Center channel shortly. Kronos and Leviathan have been installed and I absolutely love them. Any questions just shoot me a pm. http://www.flickr.com/photos/49617895@N02/

Hi All, A while back I had come up 2 designs to build for my 12" BTL. Click Here for Topic on Box Designs This next thing is quoted from the topic on the box designing. so this past week we started the build. pics below. so we started by trial and error on the kerfing. failures are below. then we finally got it right. we did .25" spacing for 4 inches, it should be a total of 17 cuts. and we also left about 1/32" of wood left. very thin. so after we got that right we finally started cutting the kerf for the other boards. we then ran into a snag with the paint can. when we opened it up it was broken. so since its easier to paint the pieces when they a…

"OK, lets revive this build log. I need you to post what you are gonna be running in your wall. I need to know the subs, the amps and the batteries that are going to be used. This is the information i got off of your video, if it does not match up to your Aviator, let me know immediately before i start the build process. Baffle = right behind front seat area Height - 42.25" for baffle height, 38" once over the hump. Width - 50" in baffle location, 44" wide throughout the rest of the vehicle. Width 2 - 41.75" wide if box goes to the headliner.. Depth - 37" on the hump, 63" total. 2 questions i have- Depth - am i to assume that you can use 26" of depth in between the hump…

Just realized I have been posting this build everywhere except for here. Allow me to share:  Amps on the left and right, Processor in the middle. The white plexi is going to be for wires to run through from the audio processor. The rest from the amps will go to the left and right of the amp rack.
