Thought you guys might like to see a build we are finishing...you may have seen it on another forum...This isn't exactly going to be a full build log, mostly just pics of it as things get finished. This is my buddy's van, we have been building it at his house the last few months. What we have been trying to accomplish is an "old-school" type build, full install, LOW LOW extension, move a bunch of air, and do decent SPL (definitely not our main goal). I worked at a shop in Akron, Ohio in the 90's doing mostly big installs, and competed some myself. He used to compete in consumer classes in USAC back then too. (Both of us had world records in the 90's)...on to the pics... T…

I decided to let the old one die and start up a new one because the other one turned into me asking a ton of questions, not an actual build log Vehicle I'm starting with (The stupid green chevy emblem was painted black the day I bought it ): Equipment going into it: - (1) Fi BTL N2 18 - (1) AQ2200D - (1) XS Power D1200 - www.weldingsupply.com 1/0 wire Here are a few pics of the box build. Unfortunately I was more focused on building the box than taking pictures, so I only have a couple haha: And while it's picture time, here's me. Just in case you see me at a show or something, you can say hello. Me, my dad, and my brother. Yeah, we're weird.. The not-quite finished …

Well, since Fraze(CNC) disappeared with my door panels, 6.5, tweeter, and crossover. Decided to get started myself. Started off slacking on the pics (was anxious and in a hurry lol) I was outta town with work, and showed my dad what I wanted done before I left. He started with this Good thing I made it home before he did any fiberglassing. Now looks like this. Not much had to be cut Rings to space it up, to give it a curvy look Rings to make it flush mounted Bam, waiting for all the glue and what not to setup

We found a huge pile of scrap plywood, and said hey, we could sure use more bass =P It is ~1.3cuft sealed and the ported section is 12.5 cuft before displacements. It is an 8ohm aspire audio 10" subwoofer. We are picking up a bash 300w amp by the end of the month. Tuned to 28hz. Me in the box.... Inspiration for the project =P Super sweet port ends. Catt says: "I do believe that this right here, this is a subwoofer" Long day =) I found the bass....yes......in here..... The first two members of Lurking Skarred

Basically I plan on running 2 Fi 18's off of 2 Alpine PDX 1000.1's I am leaning twords the Q series but i havent made up my mind. I want something that is going to stand up to everyday driving and will sound good with all kinds of music. All this great equipment is going to be installed into a 2000 GMC Safari van. Hello from Martinique , A friend of mine, a box builder for a shop here, is upgrading is sound system. He's going from 1 SSA xcon 15" on 2 Sundown saz 1000 d amps to 2 xcons on 4 saz 1000d. We bought the design from someone on this forum ! The box is made in 2 parts : one for each sub. Totally independant chambers and ports. 2 exactly same boxes. For the mids (2 8" Davis Acoustics speakers on each front door)he will use a JBL amp (px 300.4) and for the highs(several 5.5" speakers and tweeters, all Davis) he will use a new amp : the JBL 100.4. Doors and trunk are already deadened with SecondSkin Audio Damplifier and Damplifier Pro. Here are some pics of the box build.

Wow... It has been years since I've been on here. But I can say, this website taught me a lot when I got into the industry almost a decade ago. Now I'm in college and build/design boxes as a side job to make some money (pretty good money some months). Bought a TJ a little over a year ago, and finally decided it was time to do a semi-permanent system (something I could easily remove if I needed to). Didn't want to spend a whole lot of money, because well, this vehicle has plastic windows. Good luck was in my favor because over all the years of helping people out, they helped me out. I got the sub for free and the amp for $50. So anyway, onto the build. I wanted a box t…

Hey guys, just wanted to show my build I just got done a few weeks ago. I've had a quite of few different setups recently and am finally very happy with how it is now. My box is about 22 cubes after displacement with 320" of port area tuned to 32hz. All walls were doubled up, and the inside was fiberglassed and braced, its very strong and HEAVY! Each of the 40.1 amps are at 1 ohm, and my electrical consist of a DC power 250 amp alt. Kinetik 1800 up front and 600AH battery bank in the rear. Havent got in on the meter yet and honestly I'm not to concerned with it. This was meant to be a daily driving ground pounder, and it is definitely that. It gets LOWWW and loud and that…

Hello world. Well, here's my Civic build. It's a simple SQ setup. Front stage: 2way DLS UR6i Sub: mac Audio Aliante 10" Black LTD Front amp: Helix H400 Esprit Sub amp: Steg QM 220.2 Stock HU as signal source and re-used Pioneer P88RS as signal processor. (HU>LOC>P88 aux in) It's an unusual configuration, works for now, but I'm really thinking about an Audison Bit Ten. Doors were deadened with SilentCoat, but I still have some work to do on them. Cables are AWG4, and hand"crafed" RCAs. Here's the car - or egg-shaped rocket ship, as some may call it: Old picture of the dash, pre-install (the same, but OEM tweeters): Overall requirements of the install…
