Hello from Martinique , A friend of mine, a box builder for a shop here, is upgrading is sound system. He's going from 1 SSA xcon 15" on 2 Sundown saz 1000 d amps to 2 xcons on 4 saz 1000d. We bought the design from someone on this forum ! The box is made in 2 parts : one for each sub. Totally independant chambers and ports. 2 exactly same boxes. For the mids (2 8" Davis Acoustics speakers on each front door)he will use a JBL amp (px 300.4) and for the highs(several 5.5" speakers and tweeters, all Davis) he will use a new amp : the JBL 100.4. Doors and trunk are already deadened with SecondSkin Audio Damplifier and Damplifier Pro. Here are some pics of the box build.

Well I thought I would start a build log even though my stuff doesn't even come close to what most of you are doing. lol Anyways, build will consist of the following stuff: 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 2- SSD 12's dual 1 ohm Soundstream RUB1600.1 amp All Knuconceptz power/ ground wires 0 awg 12 awg speaker wire 250 amp alt Yellowtop under the hood Big 3 w/ 0 awg 40 CDL tiles from Don @ Sound Deadener Showdown just to tame the cargo area a bit. My friend just finished bagging his Tahoe a couple of weeks before Scrapin the Coast. He wanted some bass so he bought 2 18s and here we are.. Each chamber is 7.6 cuft with 12 square inches of port per cube tuned to 34 Hz Laying frame on 24s.. Now some test fitting. On to the portssss More to come!

BIG install coming soon!.... This is my first build out....the only experience i have with glass are with the 2 kick pods i have in there now and it was a learning one! They turned out great but i made the mistake of drilling a big hole through the back to port them...oooops! They made $800 dollar comps sound like a gramaphone....so I'm making new ones. New box, 2.2 cubic ft per sub, 25 + sq in of port per cube

Here's the build log for the volvo so far already have the box built and the subs thumping thanks to "SirLancelot" Running two 12inch fully loaded Fi BL'S! Box is tuned in the 32half hz mark. about 4.4cubic feet all togther after displacement and some bracing(2.2cubic per sub). The subs are running off a Pa 4000w bamf at this moment but not giving the kick i need so i upgraded to the AQ 2200. All wondering how your going to power that beast, already installed a alt Bosch high output 100amp alt(Dont laugh at the 100ampns of it way beefier then you think). this is my first build doing it all by myself box is 28 long 20 deep and 15 high tuned to aprox 32hz did the carpet in the basment with contact cement and almost passed out due to lack of ventalation this will be the future home for my fi btl 12 and i will have more photos when i get my amp and sub

Here's my system. Not much exciting going on. 2008 Saturn Vue Stock HU Stock door speakers MTX RFL600D 12" Adire Audio Shiva in 1.21 cubic feet sealed The factory speakers sound pretty good, but are little harsh. I do plan on replacing them in the future, but they will hold me over for now. The HU will probably stay. Onto the pics. Like I said, not much, but it will hold me over for a while. The bass knob is way under the dash and is kind of hard/dangerous to adjust while driving (most of my driving is done at 65 mph). I'd like to move it to the center console somewhere so it's right there within arms reach, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it.…

Alright so many of you may know I've gone through several systems in the past few years that have ranged from third row boxes, third row walls, all the way to a b pillar wall. Every single one of these systems were only able to reach 150db and not more beyond that. I've decided to step it up a notch this time and stop doing 2 subwoofer setups in such a large vehicle. With that being said, here are some details. I Recently decided to change my setup and go with a little more. I loved my 18" BTL, but it was time for a little more. I am about to start my build log for my new car. I'm wanting to do an 18 btl not sure about anything else yet I need a cheap amp that does 2 kw rms. For mids and highs ill run 2 sets of coaxials off the deck for now will amplify them later if necessary. I just went to pull a part today and got all the carpet for the trunk. I'm gonna try to do the big 3 tomorrow. Will get and install a HU when I decide on one. I'm not sure on electrical upgrades yet ill play that by ear. Gotta get more 0 awg wire and build the box also. Will try to add pics of the trunk before and after tomorrow or tonight. Also plan on painting some interior pieces. Any feed back or suggestions …

So i posted some pics of the new box i got for free and decided i was going to do a half wall with it, ha yea not to much thought has gone into this at all just kinda going to go with it and hope that it all works out ha, plan is to take the box build a false floor get it on bolt it down, see how it sounds than eventually build some baffle to go over that so air doesnt escape, im new to car audio only been into for about a year but the box is for 1 15 but i amgoing to cut it to do 1 18 and its tuned around 30 hz, i have a elemental design 19av2 that i got for a 100 bucks, the box for free and 6 sheets of 3/4" mdf i also got for free im looking for an amp as we speak and e…
