Whats up yall. Started the box about 2 days ago, still need about another 2 days to finish everything. Its been raining but it'll be gone by tomorrow. This is my first 4th order enclosure, although I have built countless sealed and ported boxes. I am trying to keep this system lightweight, while still being somewhat loud. I had 2 Fi btls before but it was just too much weight for my car. 4th order is 1 cu.ft for the sealed chamber and 1.8 cu.ft for the vented chamber after sub and port displacement. It is tuned to ~43hz. 2 4" aeros. It is ported into the cabin via the rear seat armrest. Wat? Build consists of: 112 sq ft. of Dynacrap Xtreme Pioneer AVH-P5100DVD Arc Audio…

I got started on my boys Caddy this week. The goals: 1. Build a very solid daily system to pump the sounds while riding. 2. Take up as little trunk space as possible. (Need space for hydraulic set up) 3. Make it a clean install worthy of popping the trunk for. 4. Put some JL system to shame while spending a fraction of the cash. The gear: Kenwood head unit. Infinity 6.5 components, 2 sets 12" Fi IB3 subs, trying to fit 4 but may end up with 3. Sundown SAX-50.4 Sundown SAZ-2000D Lots of 1/0 cable Undecided yet on electrical system. more to come... Here is the ride. Started doing the front doors. I stripped the carpet off and used the press board as a temp…

This isnt gonna be anything crazy but heres what i got so far. I got polk audio 2ways in all the doors, pioneer 5200 HU. Over the past few days ive been laying down Fatmat rattletrap in the car. I got the whole trunk done with one layer and the outsides of all the doors are done too. I was thinking of doing the roof or the floors but im lazy and dont wanna rip it all apart. I only took a few pics of the trunk and dident get any of the doors (sorry). I have just ordered an FI SSD12 and will be building a box this weekend for it. Its gonna be sealed 1.25cubes BEFORE displacement. I'll try to take some good pics during the build. Thanx for looking and here are some …

I started on a new sub box for the RE SX15 in my 98 jeep grand Cherokee yesterday. It's 4 cu ft net tuned to 31 hertz, sub firing up, slot port firing back. This was my first ported box build, and came out alright. It still needs alot of finish work. I'll post pics later today.

So after ordering parts and doing some small work here and there since August 09, i finally decided to start this build log. It's my first real build. Everything else prefab boxes and no electrical upgrades needed. (two set-ups off of a Crunch p1100.2. my favorite set-up was 2 12" mtx tr55 in mtx ported box). So this current build is a big, giant step for me. All the equipment is in my signature. It's my first box build and i went off of some dimensions that i received here on the forum. Should be around 32 hz (home depot doesn't do exact cuts!!). I wasn't entirely sure what to do for bracing... If i'm not pleased with the sound of this box, i'm more than open to making a…

This is my ride ... 1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab ... My Chevy is getting a total rebuild. Found a MAJOR water leak and messed up ALOT of stuff. Got the water leak fixed. Now I'm in the process of tearing everything out and starting over. No speakers or electronics dammaged. I just need to replace fiberglass, carpet and other interior stuff. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks ... Randal ... Will be starting on a-pillars and kick pannels and soon as carpet and wiring work done. I will be using a pair of BluesCarAudio 6 1/2s and tweeters powered by a Linear Power 2.2HV.

figured i'm sitting outside the court house wasting time waiting for someone so i might as well type something up here. Current set up is an alpine cda9807 hu. Front door speakers are cdt cox622. The rest of everything now is still bose stock with an arc 4150 xxk already bought for powering the front doors and the kappa 692.9i.'s i've already bought as well for replacing the rear 6x9's. I'm keeping the rear deck 3's and front pillar tweets stock and keeping them powered by the bose amp. Sub change is in progress but i'm leaning to an fi q or sundown z15. Currently have a re se-xxx 12 powered by an audiopipe ap1500. Already bought amp replacement for the ap and have an ar…

Well, I decided I'd go ahead and post up my vehicle and stereo setup. It's nothing big, but it works for now. 2008 Saturn Vue Factory HU Factory door speakers Tsunami and Power Q 4 gauge wiring MTX RFL600D Clarion SW1051 The amp and LOC were installed by L&H Mobile Electronics of Topeka, KS. Good bunch of guys there. I bought the amp used for a very good price. I also found the pair of Clarion subs BNIB for an awesome price so I snatched them up. Only running one for now, and I'm not sure if or when I'll ever install the second one. I'm very impressed with the performance of this sub. Not at all what I expected. I do plan on upgrading the door speakers, but I…

Most likely a Buick Rendezevous... like last year, I'll set out tomorrow and may have one by the end of the day... but last time I ended up with an Aztek... we will see how it goes this time. I currently have 4 Adire Audio Extremis 6.4's, 2 CSS FR125S's, and 2 Vifa XT25TG30 ring radiators. I have a Kicker KX850.4 with a bad crossover on 1 channel for the 6.4's, a KX350.4 to be bridged 8ohm on the 4" full rangers, and a KX200.2 thats blown for the tweets. I can send the amps in to Kicker for repair, but I might just buy all new ZX series..IDK yet. I'll be getting some SHURiKEN SK-BT80 batteries from SicAudio, a HO alt, and proably some audiopipe ap3000d's... Alpine W200 w/…

Until I go to town I am without kerosene for the heater, so I have a minute to start my build log. Eclipse CD8053 MB Quart RAA4200 CDT Eurosport 07 braxials (I need to find out which tweet these have as I really don't recall, I think I remember drt-26 or perhaps that is wishful thinking) MB Quart RAA1000 MACH5 IXL 12 SL SDS CLD Tiles and EBR MLV and Gymnastic Mat (CCF) The vehicle is a '92 Subaru SVX and a project car if there ever was one. I started gathering some of my equipment two years ago when I still had my '93 Saturn SC2, but reality soon hit that the Saturn wasn't really the car I wanted to go all out on with a stereo install, especially with the leaking sunroof…
