so i have no idea where to put this on the boards but i have a question about a second battery i have a 2003 bmw 525i sedan and have found out i need a second battery before i blow another alternator is it ok to put it near the sub box or will the vibration be bad for it? i was thinking an optima yellow top battery any suggestions? Hey all, So I recently decided its time to throw down with our basements system. Recently purchased two Fi SSD 18's to go along with our existing Memphis M3 15's and our QMC 1850HD amplifiers. Ok, I'm starting my new build pretty soon, probably when the next cold front comes through. But since I took everything out to measure, I needed some low end filler while I'm getting ready to start building, and until im finished...Best temp system ever. lol Tried facing them back in the back, but they kept sliding off of the little ledge and scaring the shit outa me when I would brake. Well im re building.. i have had this planned for awhile but i hate going to build logs with no pictures so i figured i would start it as soon as i get a few. i got all my wood and got it cut today. i have a few pic of it set up in the back of my blazer but not put together. Just to get a feel. my setup is 1 fi btl 18" with a rockford t30001bd wired to 1 ohm. my old box was 9.xx cubes tuned to 32 hz but i thought it was too large so i am building a box that is 7.8cubes after displacement tuned to 30 hz. guess i will go ahead and start the build log...... so, this is about where we decided I should be taken pictures, most demo work was done before i got the cell phone out, no camera for a while yet. took out the rear seats completly and made up some panels to replace the void. have started some of the electrical upgrades as well as some basic deadening.

I have a 94 civic trunk I need some ideas on a new box for highest spl. I have tried subs forward with 4 areo ports to the back, subs forward slot port to the back and sub forward slot port forward. I have about 33 deep by 35 wide and 15 high, im runnig 2 12 inch IA. LI's. Thanks for any help

I am downgrading to have room for my work/ new children. I removed almost everything about a year ago and finally have time to put things in. I have a 6 month old and another on the way, so I have to haul around a lot of kid stuff right now, as well as tools and equipment for work. Box will be ~10ft net with about 115sq of port. It's a bit small, but I need 1/2 of the back for cargo, and I figure it should be fine with the power I'm planning on using and box rise and all. I will have 10 runs of 1/0- Knu Fleks, Shok industries. Only 4 D 3100s for now, but I will be running good alt power. Well I took the wall out after the show on Sunday, and it's time to start building the new box. Me and Alan only pretty much have the new box designed and will build it soon. Box will be 11cubes after displacements with subs behind passenger facing forward, with the port behind the driver facing up. Tuned to 35Hz. And I should have my other 2000 very soon. I'm really excited to get started.

Alright So I Decited I Wanted To Put A Built In Screen In My Box. I Was Wondering If The Magnetic Pull Of The Magnet Would Mess Up The Screen In Any Way? I Know Magnets Mess Up Cathode Ray Tv's (OLD STYLE) However The One Im Using Is A 22' LCD The BTL 15'' Barely Clears So Im Happy About That, I Just Wanted To Know About The Magnet Affecting The Screen?

So I will start a build log, but it may be a few months before it is up and going. I will be installing speakers as install panels, rear deck, etc. Sound deading soon! 1963 Nova SS 327 small block Turbo350 automatic It is really close to being ready to drive. . . Plan is to get the (12) 7" AA mids and (8) Morel tweeters I have in the rear deck, front doors, and front kick panels. Maybe a pair of Havoc 12's or (4) 10" Chaos in the trunk. I got around to installing this little guy today and Im stoked. I used a 12 volt relay as that is what I have seen recommended. The install took a little longer than I wanted but overall it was pretty easy. The blue matches my truck and the illumination isnt too bright. I ran the power wire to the amp terminals to get a more accurate reading. The voltmeter is sitting in the old factory stereo location where it was swapped out for a cd pocket that the cds always fall out of. Piece of shit! It fits perfect and i like it recessed so its not blaring the light all over the cab too much. Very pleased with it though and want another for my Geo.

Car - 2000 Mustang Amp - Audiopipe AP1500D sub - 10" Mach5 iXL box - .9 cubes net tuned to 34hz I was going to try for a T-line but theres no room to get a bigger size box really into the trunk and the girlfriend wanted a fairly small sized box so yeah. I just cut out the speaker hole. The port still needs to be glued in. more to come.

Being a single cab hilux i'm a bit tight on room for a sub since the passenger seat is fixed, and am not keen on the new slimline subs.
