I'm kinda new to car audio. Right now I'm just running a sundown e8v3 on a boss armor 1500 which actually puts out the ammount I need. Anyway I really want to upgrade and be loud. I'm not about spl and hitting high dbs more about music and perceived loudness. I can work with about 3.5 cubic foot box. I'm considering either a fi q 18 or a fi bl 15. I just need advise on which would be better.

As you read in the title and description I'm getting a Fi Car audio BL 15 and just need suggestions on what options I should get and dimensions on a box that I should build. I've got a 1994 extended cab F-150 and in the back have appx. 18x24 for the base of the box and wanted to know how tall I should make the box and how big I should make the port to tune it to 32 Hz.

This is my third time posting this, so you may have already seen it. But I also want more feedback. It isn't a large build by any means, but its my first, and I'm completely satisfied. It isn't as loud as most of my friends (most have L7s, one has a MTX 9515, and another has a couple 15 inch MOJOs), but NONE of them can hit as low as loud as me. 12" DC Level 4 1.65 cubes tuned to 28 DD M1a 4ga. Stinger HPM wire I'll start off with what I posted a couple weeks ago, and follow up with how it stands now (or stood up until about 6 this afternoon). The car: CD3200 (sticking out about a cm. Damn shallow dash): Hidden knob: Look Ma! No Wires! 1.65 cubes tuned to 28 (prob…

my new install will be up this weekend. I've been debating on how to upgrade my monoblock power and my electical system and i came to some costly decisions but I think I'll be happy with them. I will still be using my BTL 15 dual 0.7 fully loaded but in a different enclosure. which is currently complete but I'm waiting to put pics up till saturday because my new toys all come in this week via fedex. New setup::: 15 btl fully loaded wired at 0.5 ohm ( due to impedance rise ) 3.5 cuft enclosure tuned to 35 hz. Mint Autotek Mean Machine 3000.1 wired @ .5 ohm brand new NSB 90 battery in the trunk.

I got around to installing this little guy today and Im stoked. I used a 12 volt relay as that is what I have seen recommended. The install took a little longer than I wanted but overall it was pretty easy. The blue matches my truck and the illumination isnt too bright. I ran the power wire to the amp terminals to get a more accurate reading. The voltmeter is sitting in the old factory stereo location where it was swapped out for a cd pocket that the cds always fall out of. Piece of shit! It fits perfect and i like it recessed so its not blaring the light all over the cab too much. Very pleased with it though and want another for my Geo.

  18. Ok I so I bought this truck a month and ago. It is a 2007 ram quad cab 1500. Basic 17" wheels and base stereo with a powerseat. I bought the 20" wheels and tires that you see on it. The wheels were $325 for the set. I work for a car dealership and got the tires for $500. 275/55/20. My plans are: 1. stereo system 2. lower it 3. cold air intake 4. Just in the mean time take the nerf bars off and all the badges are removed. Oh yeah the system is in my signature but here ya go. alright, so just after I get everything into the rocky, I find out that my dad might be getting his money from his dads IRA this coming week, and buying a newer Nissan Frontier, which would then make me the owner of a 92 Nissan Hardbody king cab so that I can sell my rocky and F150 and use the money to build a shed. (I work for them maintaining their rentals so I store a LOT of crap at my house (tons of paint, big tubs of paint supplies, plumbing parts/tools, electrical, etc...) anyways, I could siphon a bit of the money from the vehicle sales plus regular income for a build. I would once again reuse the Pioneer P600UB, maybe reuse the infinity 475a amp, and scrap everyth…

Here is a few pics now that im done. Finally got this damn cam. The alt bracket had to be bent out of the way but it worked. The grounds on the frame are welded on bolts cause I thouht it would be easier. This alt is a BEAST! Thank you Mechman! My power is incredible right now! I hope the regulator isnt set too high. I never touched the adjustment screw and installed it how it was. I thought it came set for you between 14.4-14.9. Is that right? My gauge never gets to 14. It was always over 14 at start up before, but now its just a litle more. Before at 3/4 volume I could get the batt LED light to come on within 5-7 seconds of play. Now...now is a different story.
