Car is a '94 Buick Roadmaster. Purchased it about 2 years ago. Spent the 1st summer deadening the car, and last summer I just didn't have much time to get things done. Goal is to have a stereo finally installed in it this year! Have a little road trip coming up on June 22nd, and I would really like to at least have it playing music before then. Between work, the gym and my kids' evening activities I don't have much free time so that is quite a challenge. Not starting from scratch here. But hoping a little log will keep me on track and responsible for getting shit done. To get things up to speed...the car is deadened front to rear with SDS sound deadening. I bel…

Well did a search and couldn't find many or any scion xb's. So I'm glad to be able to throw mine in here. Although I do see some tc's. Anyways this one probably wont be as in depth as most, just gonna do some simple audio mods. Will start building this week on a amp compartment/ false floor and sub box arrangement.

This build is a labor of love. My father encouraged me to do what I love no matter what other people think of it. When I was 14 I got a ride home from a high school guy that worked for my dad and he had 2 12" pioneer subs in his Grand Am. I was hooked! I wanted everything to have bass. I am going to be 32 this year and my father has fallen ill. He is currently in the hospital with pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism. Laying there on the hospital bed he asked me what my plans were. Thinking he was giving me the life speech... I stumbled out some words about how work is going well and how I've been saving up money now that I have a car I paid for in cash with no paym…

Well the time has come for me to go ahead and show some progress with the truck. This thing has been through hell and back with me from repairing the lower intake manifold to having its fair share of abuse from low tuning. The first setup consisted of 3 18's on 2 AQ 2200's strapped with a single XS D3100 in the back for support. Let's just say this didn't work and had me reconing the subs. Best recorded score of the 3 18's before blowing them. Sadly, I bought an alternator that was actually sitting in the backseat at the time I was giving a demo and blew the subs. Unfortunate for me, it was a fuckin Tenney that didn't work! It looked nice and legit though.…

Ok I so I bought this truck a month and ago. It is a 2007 ram quad cab 1500. Basic 17" wheels and base stereo with a powerseat. I bought the 20" wheels and tires that you see on it. The wheels were $325 for the set. I work for a car dealership and got the tires for $500. 275/55/20. My plans are: 1. stereo system 2. lower it 3. cold air intake 4. Just in the mean time take the nerf bars off and all the badges are removed. Oh yeah the system is in my signature but here ya go. Kenwood x998 Hertz energy esk 165.5 comps Hertz deici 130.3 coax rear fill Jl XD500/3 80x2 for the fronts and 300x1 at 2ohms for the subs Jl 10w0v3 svc 4 x2 I also got the HU inst…

i have a '96 toyota t100 and was going to put two 12's in it but have no idea where i should put it. The back seat has no space under and i was wondering if it is at all possible to drop the bottom out just to where i could fit my speakers or if i just just put them under the driver and passenger seat.

I am helping a buddy revamp his install. He was using a JL Audio component set for the font stage and JL Audio 12w6 subs powered by JL Audio Slash amps. He bought my P99RS from me and is now running active I gave him a quick four hour tune while drinking some beers and we got the JL's sounding really good. Good enough to be winning competitions but he wanted more. He bought a set of Seas components and is hoping for a better sound. I recommended a different route but this is what he choose. We have a lot to go yet on revamping his install. Here are a few pics of the Seas midrange install. Old MDF baffles that I told him had to go. I made new baffles out of cuttin…

My wife wrecked my town car. There's $5k in damage, almost enough to total it. So I took the check, and it's for sale for 3k on craigslist as a driver. I replaced it with something more fun. 06 Pontiac GTO I found on eBay. Here's a pic I took an hour north of Fresno, CA on the 13 hour drive back to Portland, OR. It's a one owner with 27k. So far I've bought a Diablosport Predator tuner, a Vararam OTRCAI, and tinted the windows. Other than the stereo I'm going to try to keep the mods to a minimum(it's 400 from the factory). It currently has an old Kenwood double din mounted inside the shell of the factory deck. I'm hoping he used a harness and didn't just cut into the f…

So, I guess I should finally put this on here. First things first, my car was a theft recovery I picked up from my dad's work (he works for a local body shop) for $450. It's a 2004 Ford Focus SE 2.3l dark blue. I don't really know why but I don't have a pic of the car? Anyway, what do you do with a focus with 200,000 mi? Make it run of course... Lol needed a fuel pump. Sitting for almost a year and it seized, oh well. After that you do this... 12" Fi bl on a Sundown 1500 v3. I then got rid of the factory speakers and installed some Alpine 5x7" in all four doors on a Hertz HCP4 After getting further into this site, I realized rears were unnecessary and swapped the Alpin…

So I finally decided to start a build log on here.I had sort of one in the photography thread awhile back. Im in the process of building a wall for 6 of the Fi Team Series 15's on 3 DC 9k's and a ton of other extras. This will be my third build and I have done everything on my own except the doors and VU-Din/Volt meter setup which I had my Italian shop in Italy do. So here are some pics of the old setup and some pics of the new build coming here shortly. Pics arent in any specific order but best score with the 4th order and 2 18" N2's was a 152.9 sealed. Never did the door open in the kick as i prefer sealed up numbers. It could also play music at a 51 for 1 min which the …

Well, this summer was going to be my time to, "complete," basically meaning upgrade, my build from last summer. Unfortunately, and fortunately at the same time, due to a few complications, I'm going deeper into audio than I had anticipated. I'm a newly added member of a team, Team Megaloud, based out of Texas, and will be, at the end of my build, utilizing a few of their amps. In case you haven't seen my current build, here's the rundown:Head Unit:- JVC KD-R730BTFront Stage:- 2 Sundown Audio NeoPro V2 6.5"- 2 CDT TW-25's- PPI BK800.4- 2 Factory Bose Audio 3" midranges off Bose AmpSub Stage:- 2 Sundown Audio E8V3's in a 1.8 cubic foot box tuned to 35Hz- MB Quart ONX 1.1…

After much deliberation, I have finally laid down the plan for my project build. I planned to do a trunk build, but decided I was trying to stuff to much crap in a very limited space. Deciding to put the enclosure inside the passenger area led me to consider a wall build, but this is my daily driver. So, a below the window line, Super Stock class build this will be. Talk about jumping into the deep end. After torturous deliberations, I decided to go for SB2 and stopped flirting with the idea of ETHOS 15's and committed to an EVIL 18 . Yes, the wait is long and is killing me, but I still have much to do before it gets here. This was the first arrival: This is my Mech…

This is my 1st hands on build in ~15 yrs, so go easy on me.LOL the intro is a lil long- but wanted to get the story in. I always like readin how and why builds come about. My son/s and I will be tackling a 18" xcon install in my 01 Grand Vitara, referenced to as 'Zuk for short. I bought this lil SUV from a friend with the intentions to drive it for a bit- then hand it over to my oldest when he turns 16 (in about 16 months). I have always had a lil bump in my cars, so it was inevitable that it happen to the Zuk. Alway ran typical box store systems, Alpine, Kicker, Etc. Just started to learn about SSA, Fi, Crescedo, etc about a 6-7 months ago- when I bought my Suburb…
