i just intall my some what done system and its sounds ok no rattle at all, you guys might say wow great but there is a problem i cant crank it up i get a major voltage drop i did the big 3 already. There are so many choices when it comes to batteries. A lot of batteries have a high ah rate, but how about discharge rate. I have read a lot of people talking about DEKA batteries, but which models? Kinetik, Powermaster, Odyssey, Stinger, Xstatic? Which ones would you guys recommend for a sundown 3500d, used mainly for daily, but some competitions? I have a Mean Green alternator, not sure about actual amps on that though. Hard to find a good HO alternator for my 99 Durango.

I really hope somebody out there can help me. I have a Fusion amp(FP-1000) I also have a remote bass control for the amp. Which is a little box that goes up front with you, giving you the feature to be able to control the gain on the amp. It is connected to the amp by a telephone like plug and cord. I want to do a blow through in a 2006 f-150.I want to get 4 15" BTL fully loaded for daily at one ohm.( still dont have them) I plan to run them at 2500 rms each one to uptain 10,000 rms all toghther. I would like to know what amps would be good for these subs. I have read about Sundowm and US amps. They seem like good amps. I would like to know if there is any other kind to uptain all the best in all the aspets power,price,and warranty.

I'm having a small problem with my system. I can really use some feedback from you guys. I have 2 soundstream eg-15's(400 rms ea.) hooked up to my SS tarantula tr880/2 (880 rms). everything is great ,they hit hard, but when I turn up the gain and volume for higher spl the amp will shut off. but only on certain hard hitting songs. I'm pretty sure the amp can handle these volumes, being an old school tarantula. I'm thinking it may be the voltage drop it causes at these volumes. But the voltage drop doesn't seem to bad going by the headlights. I do only have a stock alt., and I haven't done the big 3. I'm wondering if voltage drop would cause the amp protection to turn off.…

Hey there guys i just had a quick question. Right now in my car i have a ssa zcon 15' d2 running off a sundown 2500@1ohm. I just wanted to know if its possible to run the zcon off the sundown @4ohms since the efficency is better and i am happy with 600rms since i will be buying a new car and i want less power but keeping the same equipment since i dont wanna sell/rebuy etc.

I am working on a new system for my 350Z and was considering running active. I've never ran active before and have been reading around and have a decent idea of what to do, but I am stuck at what to use for processing. I have a double din sat nav puoneer hu and it doesn't have the ability to run acrive and I've noticed the MiniDSP and it's right in my price range. I've decided with the Mach 5 MLI 65's, I still need to measure for the tweeters, and for the amp I'm going to get the JL 300/4. Does this setup seem fine to run with the MiniDSP? Is it pretty complicated to set the MiniDSP through the computer? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ok guys I'm looking for some advice towards the two topics as stated in the title. I'm running a sundown Sae-1200d and an FI bl 18". Currently stock alt , stock batt, all 1/0 ga wire and batt neg to chassis ground in 1/0. I'm initially looking to put a new battery up front or (possibly in the back) but the new batt would be running of the stock alt for while whether it be in the trunk with the stock batt up front or the new batt up front solo. Just out of curiosity has anyone ever used a harrison labs amplifier and are they capable of doing music? They actually look pretty cool and are tiny for the power they claim. After seeing the drag queen most everybody says all the hlab amps are spl burps only. Just curious not really interested in buying one.

This amp is cutting off on me at high and when I turn it down for a few seconds it come back on. Could this be from a short on one of the speakers lead. The amp is not hot at all and I notice that it just started doing this about a week ago. It has a status light that is blinking but the manual does not explain what blinking sequence this applies to code 11-thermal protection, code 12-short protection, code 13-repeated short & code 14-over volt protection.

Hey all, I'm going to buy myself a new headunit my budget is around 250$. So far the ones that catch my eye are the Pioneer premier DEH-p600ub and the Ecipse CD3200. I don't know much about head-units...the pioneer caught my eye because it has a 7 band equalizer while the eclipse only has 3 band. The eclipse caught my eye because it has 5 volt pre-out compared to the pioneers' 4 volt (apparently more volts is better). Visually I like the Eclipse better cause people in Montreal don't seem to have them and looks more classy compared to pioneers blue leds all over the place. So I wired up my brothers bmw, put in a pioneer HU and ran power to a 1200 watt amp with 2 12” subs. Now the 1st amp worked for a few months then just turned off, the 2nd and 3rd worked for a week. I checked and double checked all wires and there’re good. He took it to a radio shop and they said it was because his power and ground wires weren’t pure copper, he left with the system working and the next day the amp went into protection mode. Also the amps were blowing fuses, can anyone give me some advice on what the issue may be. Thanks in advance

is this the right configuration to achieve a 1 ohm load?

So I hooked back up my amplifier today and when I turned the headunit on and played some music I realized that no bass was coming from my subwoofer and my amp was in protect mode. I also noticed that my lights would flicker and dim and why voltage dropped to like 12 volts. Any suggestions to what the problem may be?

I've heard a lot of people complain about the same problem, but what do I do to solve it? If, I need to reground something, which wire/s go where? I'm not too knowledgeable about this nor did I install this on my own. My truck is an 06 Silverado

So with that I need a custom box for my 2002 Avalanche rated to spec for (2) 15' V2 Nightshades *when they're available*. What the best Tuning Frequency should it be set at? Should it be Ported/Vented,4th order bandpassed, or T-lined? I still want to use the back every once and a while to carry shit so should the part of the box extended into the bed be sprayed with bedliner or fiberglassed to keep the elements out of the box.
