I,m looking at the saz 1500 or 2000 . but my cousin say s i would need electrical up grades with the 2000 and not the 1500. on another forum i read even the 1500 needs electrical upgrades. is this true and if so would it be major? Also i want to run one deep and loud 15 ported , I like hdc3 but aluminum coils need too much power. any other suggestions?

Does anybody know where I could find a non-working US AMP :VL-400,USA-400,100HC-or does anybody know if the new amps use the same boards or boards that will fit in the old chassis? I have a USA-400 with a hole burnt in the board,but I want to use this old purple chassis since I have a matching USA_200.Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok. So now im looking for a new battery. My current battery ratings are CA: 650 Amps CCA: 525 Amps. The battery (EverStart) is bad tho. I dont know If I want a battery that replaces the existing one, or if I shold just get one and put it in my trunk. The battery I have now still starts my car, but in the cold its very close to not starting it. I want a battery that will start my car fine in the cold, and that will eliminate my voltage drops (Down to 13v from 14.5v voltage drops now when I bump my system) to go with my HO alt (160 Amp). I have ordered 2 Fi BL 12's Dual 2 ohm coils, with the Pchamfer, Flatwind, and daily option. The box is being built this week. I'm deciding on an amp to power them. Currently I have a Kenwood 9152D (supposed to be 900 RMS @ 2 ohms and 900 RMS @ 1 Ohm) So I thought perhaps getting another 9152 and strapping them together but that would under power the subs cause I know i'm not hitting 14.4 volts The 3 amps I've narrowed my interest to are Kicker ZX2500.1 (2500 RMS @ 2 ohms) supposed to be underrated MTX TA92001 (2000 RMS @ 2 ohms, 3000 RMS @ 1 ohm) dunno if this one is underrated? So seeing as how I've recently become a victim of theft I'm thinking of what I need to do before I even think about installing the new setup I've been working on.. I had the idea of wiring in a hidden switch that is connected to the lock actuator\circuit to the rear cargo area door..This way if someone does get in through other doors and they try to unlock the back to get in and remove stuff, they won't be able to (unless they find the switch..which will be hidden well.) Does this make sense\sound like a decent approach? Obviously an alarm is going in too.

i just intall my some what done system and its sounds ok no rattle at all, you guys might say wow great but there is a problem i cant crank it up i get a major voltage drop i did the big 3 already. Okay, I REALLY didn't plan it this way but I'm thinking about taking advantage of my new found surplus of amps. The reason for my dilemma is two fold. First off I decided to buy the IA 6.4 from Ohjay to power the SLS 8's in my Jimmy when I finally get to installing them. I have 1 fully loaded 15 inch FI BTL A 5 Cubic Ft box tuned at 31 htz 0 Gauge Wiring All i need to make it complete is the AMP. I was real close to getting a HIFONICS but a lot of people are saying they are overrated Sundown audio is a little out of my price range as i only have around 500 Dollars. Here is my set up HU - 880PRS Sub - IDQ12 (DVC) Front - HAT "L" 2 way (coming soon) I was thinking of running the 125.2 bridged 4-ohm to the IDQ (350w) 100.4 Channel 1 and 2 to run the tweeters in normal 4-ohm (90w) Channel 3 and 4 bridged 4-ohm into the 6.5" mids (320w) Can I run the 100.4 in regular and bridged mode at the same time? Does this set-up make sence?

when you tune ur amp, do you have the bass level on the headunit at 0, or at the lowest it could be, i have it at -6, but was going to re-tune using it at 0 what u guys think thanks -Irvin

There are so many choices when it comes to batteries. A lot of batteries have a high ah rate, but how about discharge rate. I have read a lot of people talking about DEKA batteries, but which models? Kinetik, Powermaster, Odyssey, Stinger, Xstatic? Which ones would you guys recommend for a sundown 3500d, used mainly for daily, but some competitions? I have a Mean Green alternator, not sure about actual amps on that though. Hard to find a good HO alternator for my 99 Durango.

Hello, First to let you know my install that I am having an issue with.... I have a pioneer avh-3200dvd, an sax-50.4 which is powering the IA coaxial speakers in my front stage. The Issue: Yesterday I was going into depth both on my amplifier and the head unit to tune my front stage to my satisfaction. Some 3 hours later, I had gotten it just the way I wanted it. To tune, I unplugged the rcas to pull my amp out to access it, and plugged them back in. The x-over setting on my amp was on full, I switched it to HPF and basically tuned to desire. Alright well earlier this year my headunit crapped out (stock ford explorer 2002 xlt) and wouldn't pull the cd in, the things that pull and eject the cd don't work. Then randomly it started working, and after getting my car repaired it stopped. So now my Bday is on sunday, and I figure I might as well get a new headunit. Hey all, I'm going to buy myself a new headunit my budget is around 250$. So far the ones that catch my eye are the Pioneer premier DEH-p600ub and the Ecipse CD3200. I don't know much about head-units...the pioneer caught my eye because it has a 7 band equalizer while the eclipse only has 3 band. The eclipse caught my eye because it has 5 volt pre-out compared to the pioneers' 4 volt (apparently more volts is better). Visually I like the Eclipse better cause people in Montreal don't seem to have them and looks more classy compared to pioneers blue leds all over the place. I have a Mustang which equals no trunk. I have 2 Audiofonic 12s in a ported box in my backseat. They are rated at 1200W max but we all know thats a lie. I am looking for a mono amp to power these until I find a 15 that will fit in the trunk. I have looked at kenwood KAC-X1R, hifonics 1608d, and a few others. My budget it 300 max.
