i was wondering if i will be able to hook my batteries up like this or is the only way is to daisy chain them? - - i know this is the rite way, but just want to know if its possible to do it the other way reason for askin is limited on wire at the moment

so yea before i start buying and end up with tons of stuff that i can't use, i want your all's opinions. The setup i'm going to have is... avalanche sub (dvc both coils ran to terminals on box) orion 1200d amp running @ 1 ohm, but want capable of running at 1/2 (in case i get another ava) so i'm guessing 1/0 power wire instead of my 4ga Pioneer 35w X 2 @4ohm (has scoshe kit running to it now, looks like 10g power wire)...going to run it to my tweets eventually cadence z1200c (best info i can find says 250W X 2 @ 4ohm) going to run comps off this eventually) soo, here's my ideas so far, i'm wanting to go with knukonceptz unless someone knows a better brand that is less e…

So I plan on getting a battery for in the back soon and I was curious as to if it will hurt my battery in the front by getting an AGM for in the back. Also do I have to go with something that is in the range of power my amps are taking or can I go with something along the lines of a XS Power D545? Roughly with both amps I'll be in the range of over 1800-2200watts rated.

posted this else where but, looking for as much in put as possible Well ladies, its time to add some more batteries. I'm plan on going from 1 AT3000.1, to two Current electrical is a 230 amp alt, stinger SPP1200 under the hood, and an HC2000 in the trunk with 4 runs of 0ga Full tilt daily I might see 14v flat as long as I keep it revved lol. Lowest I saw it drop while metering, was 13.5 but I let of the gas... But it seemed to stay at 13.8 or higher after a long burp staying revved. So I have options for batteries mainly, just adding a second to the rear. I'm considering a D3100 since its about the biggest I can get (max cubic inches is 800 per batt in usaci) and is extr…

I want to run an active front stage. I am using an AC DQX and an Audison VRx 4.300. Here is a clip out of the manual: Is this the correct way to wire the set up? I just want another opinion before I run my tweeet off the bandpass output of the DQX, or something along those lines. (sorry for the crap diagram, but the middle section is the RCA inputs, and the speaker terminals are on the outsides). Thanks.

i was gonna put this in the for sale/wanted section but i didnt know how well that would go over with mods. so im looking to upgrade to a good headunit. i just traded the pioneer i had it wasnt anything special just plain jane with sub outputs. im wanting one with a motorized face and graphics. i dont really care if it has usb or aux in as i dont ever use them. i used to have a deh-p680mp that i absolutely loved. im not really interested in the newest "look" unless its the style with the bigger volume knob like a 6000ub. im also open to a possible kenwood or jvc arsenal if it looks good and the price is right so if anyone has any head units collecting dust let me know…

I posted this on another site but maybe I can get advice here, I have a 4ch rockford P400-4 set to 2ch and using two alpine 4ohm 6.5's. Everything had been working fine but lately say I am driving to work for about five minutes then I turn on radio you can feel the car kind of shudder a bit then after awhile of the radio playing the amp goes into thermal protect. The gains are under a quarter turn from zero and made sure the ground is good. Any ideas?

Hey guys i have a question about using a second battery. i have a 95 Caddi stock alt. iterstate battery up front. i have done the BIG 3 using 4ga. The amps im running are the R/F P-400.4 at 4ohm each chanel and the R/F T500.1bdcp at 2ohm on two 4ohm svc 12" Dcons. i have been looking at the XS battery's. And would like to know if i would benifit from running one, and if so wich would be seggested. thanks for the feed back

I thought I would post this here since replies elsewhere were slim. I've seen a couple of US Acoustic amps around at a reasonable price and was wondering what people thought about these amps. I know Zed made the first batch of the USX line and them US Acoustics took the plans and had them made in Korea (Pretty chitty if you ask me). I've google this line and people seenm to be happy with them (quality and build), but I thought I would ask around here since it seems that people have a better perspective on the car audio world on this forum. Tell me what you think.

Okay so im asking this question for a friend of mine. He just recently bought a hu from a local shop and they do free instal with the purchase...well they said that his car has a factory amp and that they will have to by pass it by running all new wires which will cost $120. I am still learning but this just doesnt seem right. I mean why would you want to bypass a amplifier? The shop said that running the amp would equal less output to the speakers but bypassing it would make it louder. I just dont quite understand the logic so if someone could explain it would be great. thanks

Alright so I had a nine.1 I bought used. Worked great for a couple months then all 4 fuses would blow on it. So I sent it to eD under warranty. Finally recieved one back after like 3 months of waiting. Installed the amp, worked for about 5-10 minutes then did the same thing. The amp was extremely hot to the touch also. eD wasn't much help so I decided to say fudge it and I purchased a used SAZ-1500D from Jacob which should be arriving Monday. I've been talking back and forth with Jacob about this problem and he said that there might be a short in my power wire. I tuned it by ear, but it took a little extra time due to the gain knob being maxed out and still not pushing it's full potential out, so I turned up the bass knob slightly to a point where I saw stress. Now, the sub gets slightly warm after 15 minutes of full tilt, but it's not more then a few degrees higher off the ambient temperature. Just wanting to make sure there's nothing bad going on. I am just completely stumped with this problem. I'll try not to make it long but I want to make sure I explain everything right. I have two amps in my car. A Rockford P500.2 and the SAX-1200D. Both have their own runs of power wire and grounds. The Rockford has 8 gauge going to it, as nothing bigger is necessary, and the 1200D has 4 gauge running to it. Yesterday I completely redid everything at my battery. I had to get new battery terminals, as mine were meant for a top post battery, and rewired the factory ground and such to the new terminals. I just got a saz 1500d and am trying to get the gain set just right. With nothing hooked to it and at 27/35 volume, bass -2, sub -2 and with the gain set 1/2, my DMM reads 60.8 volts. This seems way too high but it does sound pretty good on my dd 3512 wired to 4 ohms. Only thing though, 60 volts would be equal to 3600 watts at 1 ohm. Am I doing something wrong or is this the baddest 1500 watt amp in the world?
