What would the best electrical setup for a 2000d? I got a 1800 upfront and a 1400 in the back. Big 3 done with 0awg, 0awg to the amp and a stock 90 amp alternator. Would I be able to use the amp at its full potential? Any recommendations?

i just found out this sub has a subsonic filter set with chips tuned at certain frequencies. i dont know what mine is but apparently it's affecting my lowend responce from my subs. an installer told me spl competitors use these chips to keep from blowing their subs when usu=ing ported encloseurs. he said my amps sounds like the filter is set at 40hz-nedds to be set at 25hz. i listen to mostly metal but i like the ability to get low with certain synthetic beats(808). im using a dqx as my sound processor- i have my pmf set at 20 and my mid/low at 90 i just cant think of anything else to cure my lowend blues. im using 2 idq12's in a sealed 1.8 cubic box in the back of a 2003…

Having a small issue with the 9884. The H/U automatically decreases the treble (noticeably) above 25 on the volume setting. Same problem when using the tuner/xm unit to which I have the gain at maximum on the xm or else it's too low. How can I turn this automatic function off? My old Cda-9827 used to crank the volume way higher with NO problem. Now I can only reach 90% of its limits before it starts changing the balance and sounds like chit. Pisssing me off

My friend wants me to put these in his truck and I want to get everything out of them both. The sub is single 2 ohms 300 watts rms, and the amp is 300 watts bridged at 4 ohms and 150 wattsx2 at 2ohms. Is there some way i can wire it to get the 300 watts or is he going to have to deal with the 150 or get new equipment? Thanks

So I'm going to buy a new car but before I do I want to finish buying everything i need for my system (alt+batts) my current car has probably 70amp alt and I'm wondering if it would be ok to hook up everything without a ho alt until I can get the new car really my concern is with ruining the batts (5 duracell amg 105ah g31) I'm getting a CTEK battary charger so could I just charge them every now an then or would it be to much strain on the batts? I have a JVC KW-NX7000. I have had it for years and love it. I recently got a Sony Xperia Ion cell phone. My goal is to get things like Netflix on my HU screen for passengers to watch netflix or browse youtube videos on my lunchbreak, etc. The phone has a mini-hdmi output. The HU has an open RCA( audio/video) auxiliary input. So far I can't find a cable that converts it. What is a good solution?

Hey all.I just got my high output alternator and I'm wanting to do the big 3 upgrade but I have a couple of questions first.I'm going to use the knukoncepts kolliousis flex 1/0 wire to do it and I was wondering about how many feet of wire I would need to do it. My car is a 1977 oldsmobile delta 88 with a 403 engine if that helps any. Also could someone post a good article on how exactly to do it please? Thanks a ton. HawkEye

I just recently purchased a hifonics bxi1608d. It has 4 gauge terminals and is going to be pushing about 1600 watts. I am not sure if 4 gauge is large enough for the 1600 watts but, on the other hand, I am not sure if I would be able to squeeze the 2 gauge into the 4 gauge terminals. Any suggestions?

My car has a stock 78amp alternator, but I will be swapping in a 140 amp alternator from a different car. (car is an 87 Buick regal, new alternator will be from 90's caprice). Will this upgrade be enough to run an ed NINe.1 at 1ohm without adding more batts? The amps max draw is 160amps, but not sure what it will draw under normal use. I have the big 3 done in 4 gauge and a regular battery.

With the Alpine cda-117 do you have to buy the H100 imprint to use the deck active? If so can someone with this set up give some imfo or review.

I need to choose an amp for a pair of Maw-15's I was thinking the Sundown-1000D. Seems like it would work good being when I wire both subs into it. The Rms wattage would split and it would be powering the MAw-15's to their full RMS which I know isnt everything but ya know. Any Input. Thanks in Advance for all the help.

Looking for a little help with my headunit. I have a Kenwood 400U that powers on and runs fine just when i go under audio setting and try to move some of the settings around they dont do anything. The headunit has a subwoofer on and off option and when i try to turn the sub off with the headunit it still plays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been looking at my electrical and there is ll kinds of run offs from the positive wire from battery. There are 2 that run from positive into the fuse box, and at least 2 more that split off into I haven't found where yet. Seem like a lot. My question is would it be OK to keep those running to where they are going and still run 0 gauge from Alt to battery using a bus bar or similar? Also with the ground question there are several split offs from the ground battery terminal to the chasey, should just through those on top of my 0 gaug…

I have a pretty simple question regarding use of the remote gain knob for my SAX-1200D. Say I turn the gain on my amp all the way up to max. Obviously not recommended. However, if my remote gain is only set to... lets say 1/4 of the way up, would my sub still be at risk of high clipping and bad distortion ? From what I've read, the remote gain is just what it's name implies, a quick and easy way to turn up or down the gain without having to fiddle with the amp itself. So if that's the case, even if the amps gain is set to max but the remote only 1/4 the way up, it should be the same as running the amp itself at 1/4 gain, correct ? Well I've decided on getting an XS D3400 for a second battery in the back of my escape. I currently have 4 gauge going back there, would that be enough or should I go for 0 gauge? I could always upgrade the wire down the road if I have to, but for now I'm only running 1500 watts.

Hey i am thinking of buying a Kenwood 822 cd player. Its the 03 model and it folds out. Anyway i can get it for 50 bucks from a guy but when you put a cd in it says toxic error and it wont work. But you have to keep the screen from sliding all the way down and it will play the cd. I am askin yall for yalls opinion if i should buy it and wondering if yall know whats wrong with it and how much to fix it. Thanks

Ok, SOOOO, I'm reallllly baffled and just plain pissed off. Last night i decided to cable tie ALL of my wires, put plastic tuding around all of them, and tie them back. (kinda clean up my wires/install real good before I make my amplifier rack.) So, that's what i was doing last night. Not installing anything...I only unhooked my subwoofer amp...nothing else, i didn't even take apart my dash or anything. That's the pre-face, here's what happened. lets say i get this amp: http://shop.vendio.com/inetdistributors/it...7115/index.html and run 2 coaxes off 2 channels for 60-70w @ 4 ohms each and run 2 subs off the other two channels for 150w @ 2 ohms each run rca's from the rear channel jacks in the amp to the sub control jacks in the HU, will i be able to control the subs from the HU?
