Do any of you guys know what's the maximum unclipped output voltage for a PG tantrum 1200.1 at 3 ohms?

Hey guy don't know if you've heard anything about the JBL GTO 1400.1 amp. I was thinking of changing my older PG Tantrum for it. I'm currently driving a JL 13w7 with the PG but I think it's not putting out the wattage it says it does, I mean the fuse rating is only 80 amps compared to the JBL 160 amps. What do you think?

I bought a Sundown 100.4 refurb from DB-r a while back while it was on sale. When i got around to installing it, it was blowing fuses on the distro as soon as you hooked it up. So I sent it out to DB-r Tuesday before thanksgiving and I recieved the amp back TODAY (1 week and 1 day later). I am completely amazed with it being the week of Thanksgiving I received the amp back so quickly. That includes shipping time BOTH ways. The whole time it was out DB-r kept me updated with emails. I just wanted to give credit to DB-r for the excellent work they did. :bigclap:

ok..I have 4 AA 8's and a hifonics amp 2000 watt brtus. My amp will be on and then out of no where it will shut off. then come back a little bit later it started this when it got cold out. Does anyone know why or how I can fix this.

My 2005 civic has only a 70 amp alternator and I was wondering If I can run a 500 watt amp without problem? Will my lights dim at night? This will be the only amp running and I would do the big 3

I have a lil over 700$ to spend on an amp for my 18" BTL I was thinking on buying a Rockford Fosgate T20001bd for a lil over 700$ And money is kinda tight with college coming up and bills and such.. Or just wait and save up a little more cash and get the Sundown 3000D Its really just a ground pounder and im not really concerned about numbers on the mic.. My question is, Is that Rockford a good amp to push my BTL? I just know how Sundown is all good talk and wonderful customer service..

Im lookin for a good 3000w rms amp. I found a Alphasonik PMA1000HCA and I dont know much about them. But the Crunch Iv read some Good things about it. Who makes Alphasonik is it a division of Audiobahn??...I think I read that some where. Any way Thanks for any help Im open for any suggestions in the 500$$ range Thanks

Hey guys, i seem to be having a few problems with my system just a couple days ago and i was wondering if you guys have any idea of what might be going on before i go searching for the problem myself. I have 2 12" FI Qs running at 600 watts each, so an overall of 1200. Just a couple days ago i was testing a few songs on the system, nothing out of the ordinary, everything was working fine. I've has this system for about a month now and no problems occured till recently. Then a day went by where the car was idle, and then the day after that the car wouldn't start; the battery died. I have a 3 way electronic crossover 18db slope and rta on my Head unit. I have 3 6 volt preouts front, rear, and subs, I have my tweets run off front channel and my mids ( 2 5.25's ) off the rear channel and the subs my question is. I know what freq the crossover points are, but I am not sure what Q is on the crossover, I can adjust the freq range and the q of the crossover. And I think I may be doing my high and low pass on the bandpass portion incorrectly. I have the high pass set to 3500 and the lowpass set to 100, was not sure about the Q so I left it alone. I have not done anything with RTA, I messed with it some but could not tell a real difference in positioning b…

If I had a 15" Icon and a 1000 watt amp would I need to get a new battery under the hood, do the big 3 or get a new alternator in a 2004+ Explorer or a 2001+ Tahoe? What about 1500 watts?

Between these two headunits which one would you choose and why? Im trying to decide which one I should get and want to know the pros and cons of both. If you have heard both then that would be great!!!

Which one sounds the best to you? No dvd players or navigation systems... just regular 1/2 din cd players

Well as soon as it powers up, it starts to oscillate on one frequency whether or not there is an instrument plugged into it or not. And it doesn't change when the instrument is played. Pretty simple set-up. Uses a simple linear power supply and an op amp as an output device. Could it be a bad input R? I had a similar thing happen with another amp when an input R was broken. Any other thoughts?

Ok so I tried using the search engine (not working for me). But what is the specific duty of the gain on the amp? How should I adjust it? I heard I am supposed to match the volts with my head unit preout volts? I bump the system daily. Also if you need more info on my setup its in my sig.

As the topic states. below is what I have considdered so far pls give advice .. feel free to add and give a reason. preffer not to get processor just yet. system will be used for 2-way active. eclipse 7200 MK II (this is what i wanted to get but now people say its not all that) Price around s$1050 alpine 9887 around $800 singapore dollar clarion D2 (price not sure and the ugliest of the bunch) Pioneer DEX-P90RS (looks promising but way over budget and no-one here have it, so that i can audit it. s$1500)

Plan on running two sundown 1500's with two Odyssey 2150 batteries in the back and one Odyssey 1200 under the hood. Going to keep my factory 130 amp alt to run it. Question is, how many runs of 1/0 should I run from the front battery to the back two? Probably going to just ground to the chassis of the car in the back. Thanks for the help

i have a audiobahn A2200HCT i had it pushin a dd3515 at 2 ohms half the power and one day i got in my car and turned the key over with out starting the car and the volume was on 7 as soon as the bass hit the amp popped 4 times all the lights work and the cooling fans it just dont make no noise ive takin it all apart and looked it over i cant find anything burnt up nothing smells funny i dont know what it is. i have some pics but i dont know how to post them on here thanks for your time

I'm about to install my system, looking around at the stuff I have sitting around, and I started to wonder if there may be a better way to do this. Here's my plan: PG RSd 65 components in Front 2x Sundown SD-1 (the old 8 ohm ones - which creates part of my dilemma) sealed in 1.5^3ft. Sundown SAX-100.4 So, the original plan was simple, run the components off the front channels using the passive XO included with them. Run the subs parallel off the rear channels of the amp. Lots of flexibility with the subsonic filters, bass boost, active XO in the sundown, as well as some basic stuff on my HU. Simple right? im going active in a month or 2 and i just saw some kicker zx100.2 amps on ubid.com. the bid is closing friday and i think i could get 2 of them for like $15 each (not including shipping). they are factory refurbs. ive purchased a kx250.2 from them previously. my idea is to bridge them to each mid and use my 250.2 for tweets. will this work? might hold off and try for a zx 150.2 or 200.2 next week...

Hey guys, Just wondering if you could give me some insight on this. When I start to play a new song the front speakers start playing about half a second before the rear ones... The front ones are on an amp, the rear ones are going into the HU... any idea on this?

Well, couple of problems. First one I'll address is the simple wiring issues. I've got my amplifier, it's a 4 way amplifier, that puts out 115 RMS @ 8 ohms to each the left and the right. I'm running two Kenwood 6982IE 6x9 coaxials, rated for 90 RMS each, off the left side right now - speakers are 4 ohms. The right side doesn't work well, it gets fuzzy and frequently cuts out - separate problem I'll look into fixing later. Now, based off this left side alone, I'm wanting to run two infinity 6.5" coaxials in my front, each rated to 60 RMS. Each has a 2 ohm impedance. Should I run these off the same channel here, and would that get me enough power? Or, alternatively -…

i got my box built, needs finishing braces and covering. But, now i have no place for my amps. I have searched and read couple post that say it is ok, and some that say it is not. If I just double the sides of the box and mount my amps on the side, will they be ok? I have enough room if I mount my 1500d's end to end and then my 100.4 on the other side. I can mount them on my back seat, but the seat wont be able to fold up. Pic of where box sits now:

I'm looking to get a new head unit for my car and I'd really like something with all of those features. The specific model I'm interested in right now is the AVIC-F90BT by Pioneer.
