i got my box built, needs finishing braces and covering. But, now i have no place for my amps. I have searched and read couple post that say it is ok, and some that say it is not. If I just double the sides of the box and mount my amps on the side, will they be ok? I have enough room if I mount my 1500d's end to end and then my 100.4 on the other side. I can mount them on my back seat, but the seat wont be able to fold up. Pic of where box sits now:

Well, couple of problems. First one I'll address is the simple wiring issues. I've got my amplifier, it's a 4 way amplifier, that puts out 115 RMS @ 8 ohms to each the left and the right. I'm running two Kenwood 6982IE 6x9 coaxials, rated for 90 RMS each, off the left side right now - speakers are 4 ohms. The right side doesn't work well, it gets fuzzy and frequently cuts out - separate problem I'll look into fixing later. Now, based off this left side alone, I'm wanting to run two infinity 6.5" coaxials in my front, each rated to 60 RMS. Each has a 2 ohm impedance. rd audio 3250 is the same amp as a sundown saz-3000? are there more companies out there that use the same amp, but with a different name? just wondering.....

I'm looking to get a new head unit for my car and I'd really like something with all of those features. The specific model I'm interested in right now is the AVIC-F90BT by Pioneer. I don't know if this is old news or not but i just stumbled across this so it might be helpful for others. I'm assuming this will work with all other car dvd players that are wired to where you must be in park and have the hand brake applied twice before video will appear. OK, this is what it can do- The purpose of the safety feature is to not show video while in drive.... however, a glitch in my Alpine allows to show video while i'm driving and only shuts it off when the brake is pressed so for road trips, , you need not a video bypass. I was wondering if anyone had an expeirence with the new ARC amps. I'm pretty sure its the KAR series its a mini amp. 125.2 or 125.4 and its like 8"x4"x2" or something like that. Its super small. So i know hifonics isnt the best of companies, but ive heard mixed opinions about the 2008 brutus amp lineup as to whether or not it does rated power, I was wondering if anyone knows for sure what they output(specifically the 1608) or has any birth sheets/ done any bench testing. If not what do you think the bxi1608d does at 1 ohm and at 2 ohm, it claims 1600 at 1 and 1100 at 2...

i got a kicker kx250.2 and a kenwood excelon x10d. the kenwood is a class d and fan cooled while the kicker is a class ab. is it ok to mount these upside down to my rear deck. im trying workout a place to hide them easily. any other idea's would be appreciated. car is oldsmobile intrigue. let me know if u need more info.

i got 2 amps (soon to be 3) and one of those things with the flashy light... i think they call it a cap.... forget what the does... but anyways. ive always heard that you should ground to the same location but its getting harder to mount all the components close enough that i can reach a common ground location. amps: kenwood excelon (600rms for the sub), kicker 250.2, (adding second 2 channel or 4 channel amp after xmas) Questions? 1) can i ground to different locations? if so how? 2) does the ground wire have to be like 18" long or less? can it be more? if i use a ground distro is there a max length in this application? 3) do you need more info on the install?

is it bad to run your amps during the winter

I recently purchased the saz 1500D and last night as i was driving, my sub stopped playing and i heard a loud thud type sound right before it quit working. I checked the amp and the fuse were all blown. I replaced them with more and turned it back on. it took a second but my lights started to dim in my car then the fuses popped still. Everything being powered by the same power line is fine there is nothing wrong with anything else. What do you think the problem is. I believe its a factory problem

does anybody know what size kinetik or powermaster will fit under hood of expedition? I am going to run either powermaster 3100 or couple kinetik 2000s in back, but expedition has side post in front, and not much clearance for hood.

Hey guys. I got an Orion 2500D and a Critical Mass UL12. The CM UL12 is DVC (1.5ohm). The shop set it up at 3 ohms, so with the gain just under clipping, it sounds decently loud, but nowhere near as loud as I wanted it (somewhere like 1400-1500 my guess). I was so disappointed I wanted to go 2 CM UL12's with a Memphis 4k Mojo, so I purchased a HO alt from Excessive Amperage (200A). Decided to wire the Orion down to .75 while I waited, just to see how my electrical holds up. Well, the gain is down MUCH farther than it was wired at 3 ohm, and it hits harder, but now, my lights dim like crazy where it never did before. Is it the inefficiency of the amp at .75 that's c…

Ok I just got my hifonics brutus 1600 mono amp, and I have a 13w7 (my sig). Its wired in series right now for a 3ohm load. Can I wire to .75 with this amp? Should I just push it at 3ohms? Using as a daily driver so I dont go too hard on it. Opinions? How much ouput would I get out of this?
