Okay I am some what new to this forum. I have been reading it for quite some time now and see that everyone is pretty helpful. I have a couple of questions about the Fi Audio Btl 18. I see that it comes in dual 1 or dual 2. Well I have a kicker sx 1250.1 and it does about 1310 at 1 Ohm. I was thinking about getting another one and strapping them to power just one fi audio btl 18. Well from what I have read strapping the two kick sx 1250.1 amps together will give me a 2 0hm load which I unfortunately do not want but do you think I can connect either a dual 1 or dual 2 to the amps with out effecting the sub or the amps. I'll be running a bi-amp setup in the near future. As of right now the amps will be: Memphis MC3004 (75x4 @ 4 ohms) Memphis ST or MC 1000D (600x1 @ 2 ohms) Part 1: I have never done a bi-amp setup and was curious about the power wire. If I run this through a fused distrubution block, do I need an in-line fuse between the positive battery terminal and distribution block, or will the individual fuses in the block suffice? Part 2: I figured up the current draw on both amps based on the sticky in this section. hi, i am positive that it is my head-unit causing this (it is a alpine 9887) but i am trying to see what else it could be. ok for starters i have my gains set on the my sax100.4 At volume 27 is the max (out of 35 i think) and sometimes when i have the volume at only 15 the drivers mid range will get very notice able louder and i will use the balance and the left speaker is barely playing and the left is acting like it is receiving double the signal. now i have the sax 100.4 running active and i am only using the high on the 9887 to feed the sax100.4 channels 1 &2 and then using the output to feed 3 &4. The sundown is more expensive, but I use to own a soundstream a while back and never had any issues with it. Alright guys so this is my first "big" system. I have 2 soundqubed hdc3 15 d2's in a 10 ish cu ft box tuned to 32 hz. I have 2 soundqubed q1-2200 amps. I plan on strapping them. My mids and highs I got on lock so they're not important. I have a 180 amp ho alt by singer alternators. This is the absolute biggest he could make it. 1 xs d5100r under the hood and 2 xs xp3000's in the back. Nothing is installed yet I'm waiting for all my install accessories. Do you think I have enough batteries and is my alternator sufficient enough to handle 500 amps of max current? I'm waiting on my xs charger to come in to install everything because I need to fully charge my batteries. Also…

I'm starting a new build with tax returns and was wondering what kind of electrical upgrades I'll be needing. Q1-4500 and a Q4-90. Subs will be (2) HDC4 12s (if I can fit a 5cu ft box in my Cavalier and have room for the batteries) or (2) HDC3 10s. Was thinking HO alt obviously, I think 270amp is the biggest I've seen for my car. 2 runs of power and ground, big 3 obviously and 3 batteries in the back. Will that be enough?

I am wondering if these amps will run on a 16 volt setup and what kind of power can be expected out of them at this voltage at .5ohm burps. I am wanting to run 4 duel 1ohm XS15's with 4 of the 3000.1's in my CRX.

i had some issues at sears but now finially got my order placed. i got 2 group 49 AGM batteries for my truck. i currently have 2 group 31 lead acid batteries that still work (sort of) but are rather lack luster for starting the truck. so my thought was i save 15.00 on the order per battery to trade my 120.00 group 31's in (they are 1 year old) OR i could keep these 2 as a secondary isolated battery bank that i could abuse as i wanted with out much worry. do we think this is a decent idea or should i just core charge them? they are 1150CCA 195RC batteries. the truck has its stereo and a 16K Lbs recover winch on the front. my thought was that while the truck is running…

I have a Zcon 12 on a BC2000. I am unsure on how to set everything properly. I set gains by ear and it has always worked out for me. Now how do I tune everything? I have the power and ground of the lc2i at the battery in back. I have left and right inputs tapped into the rear speakers. There are 3 dials. I don't know where to start. I tried messing with it last night and couldn't get it right. If anyone that has/had this can help me that'd be great. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone used a Duracell Platinum AGM battery before? It's the largest AGM I can fit under my hood, 94r. There are two pieces that hold the battery in place that, once removed, accept a 94r. Should I go for this battery or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Got everything install fired it up and was getting a distortion sound then turned the radio off and heard the subwoofer thump sound! Didn't start the engine just was checking to make sure everything was working! Also had the volume at 0. Going to check a different amp this weekend and start moving wires around to see if something is loose..... Any ideas?

I have no way of knowing (atleast that i know of) to let me know when my HU starts sending out a distorted signal and i dont trust me ears that much. So i was just wondering if anybody has personal experience with this head unit and at what volume it starts to distort. The previous owner told me not to turn it up past 24/35, but i have also heard that some alpine HU's aswell as other high quality HU's will be able to go up to full volume without distortion. Im starting my new build and want to re-do all the gains on my amps so this would take some guess work out of it. Thanks.

Should i change my mosconi gladen one 120.4 amp for 2 mosconi pico 2 please advice, my main concern is overheating of this pico 2 since i dont have information about that small little thing i do plan to listen lots of hours of music in my car when i am travelling and this pico 2 doesnt have any fan or any heat dissapation at all , i consider changing my mosconi gladen 120w x 4 to two mosconi pico 2 i will save space that way and since my speakers are rated at 75w i dont need 120w power. If someone ever used pico 2 tell me is it overheating is it suffers from any problems...

ok so i bought some 0 gauge welding wire for my amp. can i just ground my batt. to the chassis and engine then ground my amp to the chassis? this probably sounds stupid but i dont wanna fuck up

i have a couple of batts layin around my house, and i cant tell if they are good or not. THe one reads 9.4 volts, so i hooked it up to the charger, and 5 hours later it stil isnt charged. the other one read something like 4 volts and after 5 min. on the charger it says it is almost full. Are the batts no good, or not. (car bats)

This company gets crazy good reviews and can charge a multitude of battery types.. Not only that but a 5yr warranty on their product.. Insane in the membrane!! Well I picked up a CTEK Multi US 3300 since I was told at Pepboys my aux battery was "dead" and "failled" their test... Problem I have with it is Kinetik batteries are not rated in CCA so I cannot really go by their testing. Emailed Kinetik and got a response in about an hour to get a battery charger and let it sit for 2-5 days depending on how low the battery was since it's last charge. They also told me if I wanted to ensure most batteries "coming back to life" I should go for the 7000 but I don't think I need to…

alright i plan on running 2 18" subs. i have them in my car (91 civic hatch) so its a tight space. they are already in the car there right behind the seats 2 boxes side by side. and the subs are facing me. do i need to switch the amp phase to 180* since they are right behind my head lol or keep it at 0? its pretty much a wall setup. the subs are just angled back a little bit. im not 100 percent sure about the phase setting yet.
