Sorry for asking such a basic question but I used the search feature and I can't find anything on it. I am planning a build for a BL 15 in about 4 cubes and I need to know how many RMS I can safely put out on a sundown amp with a 130amp alternator without dipping below 12v too severely.

Any recommendations out there? I'm looking to get a Double DIN Non Nav unit with at least 4v preouts. I will have powered door speakers and then my SSA XCON in the rear powered by the RF T1500. Thanks for any recommendations.

i was really close to ordering a Pioneer AVIC-D3 for the Mini. well, its 700 shipped, 6.1" screen, navi, etc. for a couple hundred more, why not get a carPC? so im doing just that. i ordered the 10.4" samsung VGA touchscreen. i need to figure out the PC thing now. im mostly concerned with the audio output. im going to keep my Head unit, and run audio out from the PC, to red/white aux in on the nakamichi HU. then sub/front/rear outs from the HU, to the EQ, then to the crossover, then to the amps. my question is, if the audio out on the PC is a standard 3.5mm jack, would is sound bad if i ran 3.5mm out from pc, to red/white aux in on HU? Most of this is not from first hand experince so please correct me where I am wrong. I'm just trying to save people the time they use asking this question. Memphis mc-1000d aka 16st-1000d - So the amp I would most recomend in this price would be this. VERY efficent amp at about 85-90%. Costs about $360 shipped on ebay. Puts out 1100 real rms watts at 1ohm at 13.X volts. VERY small also. I often recomend this to people with Brahma's and subs like it. Ive seen a couple different way but whats most accurate? Also have a 100.4 2 - Would a 200A alternator and a yellow top suffice for the two amps to stay above 13v at idle? I have this amp and it says 600 watts @ 4 ohms.I know it has more power than this I just dont know how much. If anyone knows the specs on this amp it would be helpful. What ohms is it stable to? What should I fuse this amp at since it has no fuse on it? Does it have an unregulated power supply? Class ? It is an oldschool amp but I would like to run it, just need some info. It was made by ZED audio . I have searched the internet but found limited info. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys quick question. I got a dodge challenger and I upgraded my starter battery to a kinetik hc2400 and then I recently added a hc1800 as a secondary battery. I recently brought a dmm to mess with and check the Ohms of some subs I had lying around. Then decided to check my voltage . So both says it rests at 12.8 then I started my car and the main battery read 13.78 or so and I checked my secondary battery and it read 12.8 like nothing happened. This is the first time I've ever checked my secondary battery, I've had a dual battery set up in my altima. And I had the LCD volt reader and my secondary battery was in my spare tire area under my sub so I never really bothe…

I own a 2003 sunfire which currently has a 105amp alternator. I was looking to run about 1300rms off it, but I know the alternator isn't big enough. The problem I'm having is that I can't find anyone who builds a high output alternator for my car, and I looked into getting it rebuilt, but I can't do that either. I don't know what to do. Are there any specialists for problems like this, or am I screwed?

so im in class right now, and i cant focus cuz im so pissed off. all i have is a brutus 2608 on a Fi BL. running @ 2 ohms (rated 1700 rms). so heres what happened. im on my way to class, which is about a 20 minute drive. the music was on the whole time. probably going half tilt for the 1st half, then going hard for the last 10 mins. i have never encountered any problems with the amp in the past, so im very conused why it decided to shit out. im running a stock alt and battery, which i know is not enough for this amp, but thats what it is. i never properly set my gain, ive always just turned it down when i saw voltage drop or heard any clipping. back to the story, …

hi ok right now i have my 2 hifonics brz2400's hooked up daisy chained... 1 set of rcas from the cd player to the input... then another set from the output to the input of the other amp... then same way with the remote... now i know you can link/strap these amps together... i was wondering will it make a difference if i decide to strap them together instead of daisy chaining them... will it give it more power or just be the same ??

So I just purchased the Audioque AQ3500D amp and an Optima Yellow top for the front. I will be doing 2 runs of 1/0AWG wiring, a 300A Iraggi alt, and a second battery in the rear. I only want ONE battery for the trunk, and right now im torn between the Kinetik HC2400 and the XS Power D3100 (which im kinda leaning towards). Which of these batteries do you guys think I should run on this setup? Also, Im looking at the XS Power VCM. Will this electrical setup be sufficient? I want to be able to run this amp full tilt daily with little to no voltage drop. Thanx.

I just saw a post from xspower and one of the questions answered was it's ability to be used as a starting battery. I want to pick up a shuriken to replace my starting battery and was just wonderin if anyone uses them as a starting batt or if they are able to be used as one. I've read they are similar to kinetiks and saw those being used as starting batts. thanks.

I just switched out my old Kenwood subs and 500 watt amp for 2 12 in icons and a bc2k and there is almost no output from the subs. I didn't change any settings on the head unit and I double checked the wiring they are wired to 4 ohm so I should see 700 watts. The amp is on and not in protect. The bass is so quiet that the factory speakers are louder. Anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong?

Quick Question, I'm looking for a new front stage amp since the 3522 isn't really cutting it anymore. I'm searching ebay for used 2 channel amps and I came onto this "Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200" as well as many others. Before i start considering the Cadence I tried to look it up for RMS wattage and other specifications. Upon research, I've found different information from different reliable resources. However, i found nothing specifically on "Cadence Ultra Drive Z1200". I found stuff on a Cadence Z1200 being a mono bock, and stuff on a Cadence Z1200c being a 2 channel. so mostly everyone knows about clipping, when the music gets turned up and it hits a bass note, starts to play it then quickly drops off. well i've been having this problem ever since i got my new setup and i've read the how to set the gain of an amp thread, done it. no change and i've tested the impedance of my vioce coils and they're correct, dual 1s i've tested the ohms on the output of my amp and it's reading 2 flat which is what it's supposed to be i've re wired my sub to the amp and checked my rca's but it still clips when it gets turned up. any other suggestions, please?

what will be the best amp but not so pricey to power 2 Fi Bl 15" i wanna spend around 300-400 or maybe hook up to 1000 watt amps? dunno post some sugestions
