One U.s. Amps VLX-25 @ 1/2 mono that draws 400 amps ona 95 Accord and need alternator upgrades badly. . right now i got a stock 100 amp alternator w 3 batteries totaling amps. A friend remommended Ohio Generators and want opinions on them or better options?

Ok so I'm looking for a few suggestions on a few amps for my planned 4 Sundown X 10's or other comparable sub. Vehicle is 07 Mini Cooper s Big 3 1/0 upgrade Battery is stock till it finally goes then plan on an AGM of some sort will worry later on that HU is Pioneer 80 prs as far as goals are concerned I really dont have any I just want to have other Mini's jealous. I know thats a stupd goal but at te moment I'm not competing or showing possibly in future but I just like thhe idea of 4 10's Budget Currently Ha but looking to stay around 400/amp probably looking at 2 amps plus a new 4 channel amp for my Mids/Highs which at time are Kicker SS 56.2 possably into replacing…

i have a 130 amp alt and a ever start battery up front i'm buying a audiopipe 15001d i was wondering if that would be sufficient for that amp if not i was thinking of a shuriken bt60 60ah and 1500 amps i want as minimal voltage drop as possible

Ive got 2 FI BL 12's fully loaded, a 275 amp alt, and 2 yellow tops. My question is.......would it be better (louder) to run 2 amplifiers linked to the subs? OR would it work better to have an amp per sub? And if i did amp per sub....how would i tune them together without buying anything. I bought a P800PRs from a online store, but they managed to send me the old version P880PRS. And since I live in Norway it's a big hassle to send it back to the US. Except from the black frontplate on the newer model and the copper plated chassis, are there any other differences between those two models?

Hey all.Things have changed recently so im not going to be able to do the big system I wanted.I was wondering if I were to buy 2 12" SSA Icons and power them with a AQ 2200,would I need a HO Alternator?I was planning on also buying a Kinetik HC 1800 for a extra battery in the back and a Kinetik HC 800 for under the hood.Im not 100% sure how big my stock alt is but im prety sure its between 100-125 amps.Any info or advice would be much appreciated.Thanks.

i was wondering if any one could help me by telling me were i could get a in dash volt meter? i have been searching on line and for some reason cant find any only batt terminal volt meters also any recommendation on some brands ? i was thinking stinger put like i said for some reason cant find any mayb im doing something wrong

About week ago while my truck was running and my music was playing my girlfriend opened my passenger door and my speakers started to hum. I seen the same problem with my friends amp "Foxmoto" and tried alot of things like changing my wiring, RCA's and my grounds about 5 or 6 times now and nothing seems to work. I have checked all the electrical and the readings are all normal. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling this is a pretty common problem that some of you have dealt with. So hopefully you can help me. I have a Fi BL 12 running off a sundown sae1200d. And when I play it at full tilt at idle, I get voltage drop into the 13.0 range (and sometimes even a bit less D:) Although when driving or holding the revs at about 2k, the voltage has no problem sitting at 14. I'm pretty sure this is an alternator issue. But ive heard that even HO alternator have poor output at idle. So what do I do? FYI- big three is done. And all wiring is in 1/0 Also, I currently have a quote from Excessive Amperage for a 200 amp alt for $385. Thanks in advance.

g'day, i was trying to tune my gains the other day on my sax 200.4 with a test cd and multimeter i've used with several other cars and amplifiers. for some reason, the multimeter wont pick up any signal from any of the speaker outputs at all. i can turn the knob from 0.2v to 6v and not get any change off 0V, on any channel and any output. i'm using exactly the same method as i do with other cars and stereos and it's worked fine, but not with this amp. is there some trick to getting the sax 200.4 to measure through a multimeter or something? the meter i'm using is an Amprobe 5XP-A and it has plenty of battery left in it. thanks.

I was just wondering. How much or what differnce does the volt rating of a HU make? I know the higher the volt that comes out of the HU, the louder the music plays. But I will like to get a professional response out of this. I.E. If I had an ideal system, lets say one 5-channel amp with all aftermarket speakers and sub. Will the system sound louder if I had an HU with 5v rating, or one with an 8v rating? I'm assuming that the quality build of the HU overall will make the difference at the end. Because with personnal experience, I had an Eclipse HU, that was made in 99 or maybe 98 lol, but the volt rating was 5, thats why I picked it up, but later installed an sony HU, tha…

Hello, I just placed an order on the SSA store for a sundown SAZ-1000.1D And i am in process of purchaseing some fuses and wold like a bit of help. Im running a 4 Guage from the front battery to a ANL fuse holder and it runs back to a mini ANL fused distributor block along to my two amps which will be the sundown SAZ-1000.1D(not shure what fuses it caries) and a Cadence Xenith series amp for my front components(This amp has a 30A fuse on it). What size fusing would you guys suggest me to use on my ANL fuse holder and my mini ANL fused distributor block?? Help would be great. Im trying to get prepared for when i recive the amps. ok, if i bought about 20 Feet of KnuKonceptz 1/0 Gauge Power Wire and 6 Directed Electronics 63205 1 / 0-gauge Ring Terminals would that be all i need to do the BIG 3?

im desperately trying to find an amp for my 15" BTL dual 2. Its got the 3rd mag, himax coil, and cooling. its in a nice box, look at my sig for the specs on it. I also have an upgraded electrical system including a 160 amp HO alt, kinetic 2400 & kinetic 1400, big 3, and all my wiring is 0 AWG. I also have a voltage stabilizer connected to my electrical system. has any one ever had any experiences or comments on the Sound Stream PCA3500D PICASSO? Is it a good amp, it says its rated at 3500 RMS at 1 ohm. What do you think ill actually be getting with my upgraded electrical system. thanks -wes

Hello im new the audio world and am looking into getting my first system. I am looking at getting a Sundown SA-15 woofer, but am lost on what amp i should get. Im looking to spend around 150 or so on an amp but not sure what would be a good combo with the SA-15. Would an Audio Pipe AP-10001D be a good decision or an AQ 750. Any ideas?

I have looked every where and have only found very few discussions and i know it puts out decent power for what it is. My question is this can it run at 1 ohm all day long beating? im doing a groundpounder in a integra hatch with 2 18" level 5 DC's and i have 2 of these. I am over seas on a deployment for the army at the moment so i cant wire them up or anything so i need to know if they can run at 1 ohm or not befor i order the 18s any advice would be greatly appricated!

I recently bought a MMATS 2100.2 thinking it was a 2100 rms at 2ohm amp only to find out it is really a 1550 watt RMS and 2100 watt peak amp. WTF!!!! I am really disappointed about this, I wouldnt think a great company like MMATS would be so misleading. I bought the amp to step up power to my IA Death Penalty, I had a Kicker ZX1500.1. Well when I pulled out the Kicker and replaced it I found to my suprise that the MMATS wasnt as loud as my other amp. The Kicker is adverised as 1500 watts but originally came with a birth sheet showing that it tested arround 1700 watts. So I guess Kicker actually under rates there amps while MMATS advertises 2100 watts and only produces 155…

Well im planning to buy either 1awg or 2 awg power wire from wire and supply to power my ppi black ice 1300.1d. I have all stock electrical.. but i need a fuse inbetween my battery and amp. What sizedo i get? The amp has 4 35amp fuses... does that mean get a 130 or so fuse? And should i get the anl fuse or the round one?... and is that wire the right size? Or should i be going with 4awg? Or like 1/0...
