So.. I don't use any of this new bullshit, i keep it old school with audiocontrol stuff that does not mess up. Resistor packs and things to sifts slopes and crossover points.. What is a good deck now that actually has the capability of a H-701 processor or the likes there of? I'm drawing a blank... Any suggestions would be great! Thanks! -Nick

I'm not familiar with them, I see some are JBL also. Someone has a reference 2x75rms that is pretty new and wondering if they suck, so on a scale of 1 to 10 how good are they? Or should I say scale of Pyramid power booster to McIntosh...lol. I just need in the middle or better.

Well I have most things at my place ready to be hooked up sometime soon. But theres one problem, thats with donig the big three with my alt. There is a plug on the back of it that plugs into the block, its a three prong plug and those seem to be 8 gauge wire. There are three wires goign to the block then two to the battery. I do not see a ground at all. Now I have no bloody idea how I would re wire all of that. I would need a new three prong plug able to support 0 gauge wire (I would think). Ill post pictures tomorrow of it but I am very confused. If anybody has ane experience with a 02-03 passat (same engines) PLEASE let me know! As of right now I am thinking I may be o…

This thread is not meant for bashing but what is this a good 0 gauge wire? A friend of mine had a bad experience with the Knukonceptz KLMX Kable, but is the Kolossus Fleks Kable better than Stinger 0 Gauge?

I'm getting some 8 gauge wire for speaker wire for my BL 15 that's coming, and my friend's dad, (who is an electrician), said that there were some rather flexible jumper cables available at Menard's that would suit my needs. Now I've always been told wire is wire and copper is copper, but some of the 4 gauge welding wire I was looking at is rated for 90 amps and these cables are rated for 400 amps... I'm serious, it says right on the package 400 amps for these 8 gauge cables... Is that O.K? I'm pretty new to this electrical voodoo, so if anyone could say ya or ney it would be greatly appreciated.

I have my btl, and I am borrowing my friends sub amp to listen to the sub because I can't afford an amp just yet. I am dying to hear it. It is wired at 1 ohm, but really .7 ohm (DMM). It says the amp is 1 ohm capable, but It goes into protect when I turn the amp on. What could be the problem, maybe its not 1 ohm capable? or the .7 ohm is too low?

Aight, I'm in need of a cheaper ( sub $200 perferably ) head unit. I need this for my little river yacht. I need something with excellent radio reception being the primary focus. I can deal with no frills or anything else. I only have ( still working on them actually ) a pair of 6 1/2 co axials in the boat. I don't need any kind of processing or any of that. Just need to get decent reception in the middle of BFE Any ideas what manufacturer has the best reception ?

I bought the SSA XCON 15D2 + SUNDOWN SAZ-1500D COMBO last year and in my receipt I got to the e-mail that's all it says, it doesn't say if it's the V2 or not. I'm supposed to go to an installer on Monday to get it wired properly as my last installers didn't do it correctly and he just called me and asked if it's the V2 or not since on the V2 you can connect 0 guage to it and he'll have to pick it up in the morning from his warehouse if I need it. I don't know which one it is, and it's installed in my suv and it's installed in the jack compartment so I can't easily get to it, the only end I can see is where the speaker wires connect to. I guess there isn't a way for me to …

  22. hey guys ive been going thru alot of amps lately and i was set on the memphis mojo amp for 4000wats but now i see alot of guys using hifonics amps . when looking at prices i found a 8000watt hifonics for the same as a memphis mojo 4000 and the hifonics amp had better protection agianst short circuiting and a crap tone of other features. then the memphis amp has only 4000 and very little features as i see . so my question is what would u guys do i got links below to the amps and prices . do you think 8000 is to much for 2 18 btls fully loaded ? could i burn them up ? hifonics - http://www.ikesound.com/hifonics_xxv_sampson memphis- http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuse…

  25. Both my amps were working fine “twisted sounds 150.4”, but since one of the rcas outputs broke off I decided to change all to Tiffany style rcas. My issue i’m having now when I try to adjust the fader on HU to front the rear speakers still play but little lower & vise versa & balance is the same issue. Also when I turn on my vehicle it has engine noise through speakers now. The single solder between ch1,2 & 3,4 is + & the duals above them are grounds for 1,2,3,4.
